And like everyone, i'm pretty happy, you know that kind of happiness you'd get when your neighbour's wife just gives birth to a new bouncing baby boy.. Lol, yes that's the kind of happiness i'm talking about here...

But even despite our happiness and like every other smart phones out there, you don't expect everything to be perfect just like the way you wanted it to.. So this post is not written to castigate the new Infinix Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro and paint them black just like i know many of you are already thinking and you're already waiting standby to start throwing stones at my head...

So this post is only written to point out those spectacular specs and features of the Infinix Note 5 and Note 5 Pro, and some of those specs which we personally think that Infinix should have done better.. and here are some of the things we will be discussing in this post today..

1. The Body (Why Did Infinix Stick To Using Plastic Body on the Note 5 even when the world is now migrating to using glass bodies) same thing on the last Infinix Hot S3 and the Hot 6 smart phones.

2. The displays are good. A 6 inch display with a FHD resolution, first on Infinix Note series devices.

3. Software too is pretty on point, Android Oreo Go Edition gives you a buttery smooth performance with little or no lags on a 3GB smart phone.

4. Why did infinix went back to using a Mediatek processor after using Snapdragons on the last Infinix Hot S3 and the Infinix Hot 6 and Hot 6 Pro, no offenses but i was really expecting nothing less than a Snapdragon 660, 700 or even 821 on this smart phone.

5. If the Infinix Hot 6 and 6 Pro shipped with dual cameras, then why couldn't the new Note 5 ship with one instead of the single 12MP camera it currently have.. even the 12MP i'm pretty sure cannot come close to other 12MP camera flaunting devices we have out there.. if you know what i mean.

But not withstanding, the camera also has some AI Object Recognition and Real Time Text Translation feature which we will be discussing in indepth.

6. Then finally the X-pen, last year only the Pro variant of the Note 4 got the X-pen, and this year the same thing, but for God's sake we all know that the X-pen shouldn't be a differentiating factor between the two variants.. But just like someone used to say, what do i know? nothing..

So like you have seen, the new Oppo Find X comes with the cameras built into a separate motorised compartment that slides up when you open the camera app and slides back in when you exit the camera app.. pretty cool right..

This is where quite a lot of you guys who have never used the KEYone before get it wrong..

The KEYone launched just a $100 less last year..

Considering that it's a lot more expensive to produce a device with Keyboards not to talk of one with one with capacitive abilities..

The KEY2 is for a targeted consumer, and if you don't fall into that category there are a million and one Options for you out there..

It's not about the latest chip set anymore..

With a Snapdragon 660 you can comfortably do as much as you want while maxing out the Battery Life (2 days+) on that device.. taking from experience with the KEYone..

This can be achieved cos of the optimization that's gone into the software and also coupled with other security features and let's face it there's a lot more hardware on this device than on glass slab devices

It's got the legendary 3.5mm Jack
It's got a capacitive Keyboard
It's got a Fingerprint Sensor just under the Keyboard

Who doesn't got a legendary 3.5mm jack? The Galaxy S9 has, the LG G7 ThinQ has it, OnePlus got it, even Infinix and Tecnos got it.. LoL..

Talking of capacity keys, i can agree with you up to am extent, because i sure do believe that there are still a dozen of people out who actually see this phone as bae and no matter what price you put, if you like put the price above the iPhone X they will still go ahead and buy it.. but i hope you know that most smart phones nowadays now have a attachable hardware keyboard that you can easily fix to your phone and the phone will begin looking like bae, Samsung got it.

Then a fingerprint reader, cmon bro, i never expected you use this as a point, when people like Xiaomi and Vivo are already putting theirs under the display, whats so special about placing a fingerprint reader on a keyboard. that is an innovation gone wrong you know...

But all in all, the blackberry phone is a pretty good phone, just like i said in the real post, its a simple phone that was meant for simple people...and blackberry knows their target market and they are sure do gonna make sales.. but not in places like Nigeria, because we always want to get every bit of value for our money, and even considering the price of dollar against naira, guy if I sell my papa land just to buy iPhone X or Samsung Galaxy S9 With Snapdragon 845 chipset, do i still need to sell another portion of my father's land again to buy a Snapdragon 660 device? .. LOL.. #peace...

Alright guys, so earlier today, Blackberry launched a new phone into the world, and this time they decided to call it the Blackberry Key2, which is a successor to last year's Blackberry keyOne.

But right now, there is an issue on ground and what is this issue? The problem is that, i don't know if i should refer to this phone as a high end flagship device, or i should just simply call it a mid range smart phone.. because you know why? wait lemme tell you why.. Now what blackberry did was just to launch a phone with Not So Good Specs, At A Not So Good Price.. I will explain what i mean by that in a minute, but first of all, lets go ahead and take a look at the specs of this device.

First is that we have a Snapdragon 660 processor, running on a 6GB of RAM and a 64GB of inbuilt storage which supposedly is expandable. Now that's not all, another thing is that we have a 4.5 Inch IPS LCD Screen that is running on an Android 8.1 Oreo version and a 3500mAh power battery.

Now this is where the thing really starts to get interesting.. With a Snapdragon 660 processor, and a 4.5 Inch Screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of inbuilt storage, this blackberry phone is sold for a whooping price of $650 Dollars.. I mean who does that in 2018..? .. That money is approximately #234,000 in Naira..

Now let's get this straight, people like the likes of Xiaomi out there and the OnePlus 6 are offering way more better and premium flagship specs than this blackberry, and yet their prices have not crossed that $600 boundary.. So whatsup with Blackberry.. who gave them this advice?

But one thing you all have to know is that, initially this phone itself was intentionally not built to pack all those high end flagship specs like a Snapdragon 845 processor and the rest. Because according to blackberry, the phone is just a simple phone that is built for people with a simple lifestyle, people who just needs a phone that can get the job done without all those plenty plenty paparazzi, but even at that, considering the specs of this phone, i still think the price is way too much for those kind of specs in 2018... Like there are a lot of smart phones out there that are ready to offer what the likes of Apple iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9 are offering at a price of $200 if given the chance..

But all the same, what do i know? i am just a small startup Nigerian tech blogger who doesn't know his left from his right.. in brother shaggi's voice... Taink You..

Alright, so even though i wasn't really a fan of the first Tecno Spark K7 smart phones, and neither do i think that i'm gonna be a fan of this year's own, but the fact still remains the Tecno Spark Phones are a midrange kind of phones with pretty decent cameras and an overall beautiful body. Yes i said beautiful bodies because even though those phones were crafted out of plastic, you will easily mistake them for premium aluminum smart phones.

But we didn't really come here today to discuss and praise the old tecno spark phones.. so let's just leave those two and go straight to what we came here to do today.. Well today i'm very happy to announce to everyone of us here currently reading this thread, that at anytime this month, maybe a few days to come or a couple of weeks to come, Tecno Mobile will be officially unveiling the next successor to its last year Tecno K7 Spark, and of which at the time of writing this article, we don't know what name Tecno might choose to call them, but for the sake of this article, lets just refer to them as the Tecno Spark 2 and Spark 2 Plus..

Now once again, i'm sorry to disappoint you but we still don't have any rigid information as pertaining the specs and features of this new Tecno smart phones.. But what we know for sure is that these phones are gonna be very beautiful and will also have very pretty decent cameras like those of last year.. and the body too will be plastic.. of a truth, i don't know what is wrong with both Tecno and Infinix as of late, why the heck did they have to migrate back to using plastic bodies on their smart phones instead of the aluminum they were using before.. But we did something on our official web page, and what we did was pretty simple and interesting.. So instead of waiting for tecno to release the official specs of these smart phones, we went ahead to give our own speculations as to the kind of specs and features we are pretty sure and are expecting to see on the new Tecno Spark 2 and Spark 2 Smart Phones, more like an early preview of the smart phones..

I don't get you... translucent backs are as good as closed backs, how? We all can see the NFC ring in the U11+, and had it been the chipset was located around the middle area of the phone (or not so enclosed as in the Xiaomi) we should have gotten a peek at that too.

Translucent backs are as good as Transparent backs, and on that premise, HTC did it first.

Okay i said something earlier today when everyone wanted to bite off each other's head as to whether Apple was the first phone to have a notch or they copied it from somewhere else.. Then i said something, though apple was not the first phone to use a notch, but they sure do know how to make something which was not looking good before to start looking good, and that was the reason why every smart phone manufacturer out there was copying the iPhone X own style of notch..

So concerning this new issue on ground now, whether it was Xiaomi or HTC that first had a transparent back cover.. the point is that, though HTC was it the U11 or U11+ had a slightly transparent back cover, and nobody gave a damn about it. But Xiaomi did it, and the whole world is going crazy about it, simply because they made it look better..

So Xiaomi is like apple, they took something which was not looking good before and made it to start looking good.. Now just give it a few months and you will start seeing other smart phone manufacturers including this to all their smart phones.. That is when we can now say that, other people are copying Xiaomi.. Peace..

Translucent tranparent back is as good as closed Back cover because you can't see anything inside of the phone...

I'm waiting for other OEM's to release a transparent back phone and see if they will not say they copied xiaomi mi 8 explorer. Oh wait HTC did it first with the u12 plus, just that xiaomi did it better with the processor visible.

Don't even mention HTC, all those ones have gone back to being an upcoming smart making industry.. just like Korede Bello have gine back to being an upcoming artist..

No no no... you don't just run into conclusions like that you know.. there is one LG V10 phone like that, that came out one time like that... it also had a notch, just that at that period nobody had any concern for notches... so the essential phone wasn't really the first phone that came with a notch.. save for the fact that theirs was at the middle of the display

All these things you people are arguing sef ehh.. una don make the whole matter tire me.. Whether Xiaomi Copied Apple or Apple Copied The Essential Phone. The point is that, yes we know that apple may in one time or the other taken some things from other android OEMs, but the main point is that, when those other android OEMs were doing theirs, did it go viral like Apple did.. So the point is, Apple copied an assignment from a fellow student, went back and changed the handwriting, and everybody went crazy and decided to start copying apple's own assignment.. i see apple as a company who knows how to make something that doesn't look good before to start looking good.. and that was exactly what they did with the notch, and everyone else has no choice but to go the apple way...

Definitely not a poor man's phone but this website has jerked up the price. The offial price if mi 8 explorer edition is around $600 which puts it in the same category as OnePlus 6. Definitely a worthy flagship killer. The regular mi 8 is $430. If truly this website wants to sell this phone for $900 plus then it makes no sense as people will rather get a galaxy s9 plus for cheaper or wait for the note 9 which will sell for around $850-900.
