DeepSight:
One day many years ago when I was a baby lawyer I was sitting in a hotel room in Calabar as I had gone for a case there. The power went off for a while and I was sitting in the dark. It was intensely dark, there was nothing to see no matter how one tried to adjust to the darkness. In those moments I had a few thoughts that stayed with me. The first was that I wanted my life to have deep meaning. Another one was that I wanted to see deeply into things seemingly covered in the dark. I have always loved ruminating on the meaning of life and philosophy. So "DeepSight" just came naturally when I registered here years ago.

I am no atheist. But I don't think anyone can decipher this existence and I think that is deliberate.

Anyone who has a clue about the size of the observable physical universe alone will know at once that humans should never presume to know jack.
Nice one.

As far the bolded...

Arrogance won't let many accept that obvious limitation.

They seem to believe the little they know explains all there is in existence.

Then the beneficiaries will add some of their money or go into other business. They are not complaining, so why are you?
Even with half a brain, anyone could see this is total nonsense.

That money would never be used for anything apart from feeding.

That some could be spent with targeted interests that'll benefit more than 2000 women. But they spread it too thin and call that aid?

These imbeciles no dey even see the uselessness of such endeavors.

You can just say it's support but it's still nonsense. If the government creates an enabling environment, the people won't even need their meager 50k to feed...

Mattswaggz:
SA could face the ripple effects of how they've been treating other Africans recently and the image they've projected of themselves to other African countries soon enough....this is a country that Africans rallied behind and gave them all forms of supports during apartheid and this is how they chose to pay them back while turning a blind eye to what could be regarded as the real threat (the whites) controlling most of the critical infrastructures and economy in their so called "country" . undecided

Nonetheless....provided this protest is a peaceful one, then there is nothing wrong with it....at least they have the courage to demand what they want those they elected into office to do unlike a certain west African country that's been declining at an alarming rate....in all thy doings, do things in the right way and remember that there is tomorrow and in that tomorrow, the tables could turn.
Just as it was said... The idle mind, is the devil's workshop.

These lazy youths have somehow found a purpose in their miserable good for nothing lives.

Heavens knows it'll take a lot to make many see them in any positive light.

A misguided generation. They can never amount to anything.

DEMOO07:
You have made your points and this shows you really understand what mama tinubu said. But because you guys purposely don't want to accept or tend to be mischievous you continue dragging her. All what you mentioned are another category of sets of people. Is not those sets mama were referring to or handlings. This made your argument shallow. There is no time we don't have the poor and all the categories and there is no amount you cannot start business with.
The bolded is true.

But all these things are linked. You can't mention one and leave the other. I am on ground experiencing these things, they're not.

I've had a sister I bought sewing machine for harassed to pay some dubious tax because she went to buy at alaba market. She was held down until she complied. I've seen POS operators who stand to do their business pay tax and whatnot, even hawkers. So I kid you not, these women would still share whatever profits made with their thugs they permitted to punish their people they claim to be helping.

I mentioned all these as that's the reality on ground.

As per the first lady's talk, I personally have contradictory views on it as I started my own business with 30k back in the day. That's in 2010 or thereabouts. That same amount won't get you much today in my line of business.

My worry also rests on their usual character of inflating such give aways and calling them achievement.

The government should not just dish out funds like that but be inclusive in making sure things are done with the funds. But because they want to use that as an excuse to move more funds, they wouldn't care how the matter later ends.

Plus, in their circles, you sure say any of them go agree to receive 50k? This people are buying houses and cars for their underlings. Yet they tell everyone else the country is poor. What happened to not spending unnecessarily and cutting down on expenditure to forward more productive issues that'll help the economy?

That is my problem with it all... Otherwise, doing akara business and others, wetin bad for there? Without those below, you think there'll be any above?

Abegi, I no talk again on this matter.

1, 4 and 5 fit make anyone break even. Especially if you get better market.

If the government is cutting down cost of governance and working in transparency, every meaningful Nigerian will volunteer to manage as long as even the president and his family and cabinet are going through the same magnitude of suffering the entire 248 million Nigerians are going through.

Nigerians are not gullible to the point of not wanting their country to grow
but tribalism is the weapon your politicians have used to keep all of you in check...
You see that bolded ehn

, if you dey near me, I for buy bottles of udeme for you...

There has been precedent of countries doing that and it shows from how the leaders cut down on expenses for themselves, cabinet and everything..

Over here, this woman go buy cars for women leaders and I'm sure their accounts won't be left out, osusu go drop. Now she come share 50k (wey Dem go later inflate to billions for empowerment) come dey advise her ghosts to go sell akara... (Not like the women dey sell akara before o, say she dey support o)

Yet, such wen fit even decide to hawk for bus stop but her husband boys go dey there dey collect part of the women sweat. No be juju be that...

The gods just bless Mr Ekene Dili Chukwu... Surviving such is a blessing. Many don go from there.

First sue madam and collect compensation. Then sue the estate again for another compensation.

My advise is simple, if you can't discretely erase a thief, hand them over to the police. The law frowns on beating even a thief. The law prefers to be given the power and choice to choose who they'll erase. Imagine a thief shot by the police. He'll be treated and taken to court for the courts to give a death sentence....

Why the front and back? Just do the needful once you're sure it's a proven armed robber.
PoliticsRe: Before You Defend The Akara, Agbado And Kuli-kuli Comment, Read This by correctguy101(m):
It was never really about akara.

It was about frustration.

It was about a growing feeling that ordinary Nigerians are being asked to endure more sacrifices while receiving less hope in return.

Nobody is saying small businesses are bad.

Nobody is saying people should be ashamed of humble beginnings.

What Nigerians are saying is simple:

Stop weaponising poverty.

Stop making hardship look normal.

Stop treating survival as success.

Build an economy where people sell akara because they choose to, not because they have no other option.

A nation cannot continue to measure progress by how creatively its citizens cope with suffering.

The true measure of progress is how many people no longer have to struggle just to survive.
This is the exact point but their supporters won't see it.

I mentioned how this handout would later be used as an excuse to embezzle more and the real amount given out would add up to gods-help-us figures... Then they would claim they've empowered some ghosts.

Many of us grew from the streets of Lagos and our mothers sold some of these things (mine didn't though)... I had friends who even helped their mothers to hawk back then.

But the way it was dished out is improper. Coming from someone whose family is instrumental in the increase of the current hardship. Someone who buys cars for women leaders of their party of evil-doers.

Abeg, the masses can fight all they want but they should never pray a barbarian like my Royal Self gets his hands on the tools, else...

If this family is truly serious, they should first remove their thugs from the roads. Nurtw should only be stationed at specific parks and have a stated amount they take. The monies they collect everywhere don't even reflect on the roads. So what were the collections for? They trouble even hawkers and those who stand at bus stops doing POS operations.

What are all these collections for that we don't even have good roads?

Where the madam expect them to go even sell the akara? She dey send them to their thugs wey dey everywhere as she dey advise Farmers to go to farming when she, her husband and their entire party of evil-doers don put men with guns for bush.
