Family / Re: Who Is To Blame For Moral Decadence Among Our Youths: Parents Or Teachers? by correctguy101(m): 4:42pm On Dec 13, 2023

The write up continues saying "Some Parents" in many of the examples yet concludes that parents should be blamed?

Abeg, if you've ever had a child, especially one that seems to be innately stubborn and resistant to the molding of a parent, you'll understand nothing is ever one way.

Not to say some parents don't contribute to this issue, one can't totally throw blames on parents. It's totally inappropriate.

I've never hidden the fact that I was bred in the streets of Lagos in the 80s and 90s. I've seen children who left home at a age you'd be shocked, just because the parents are stopping them (mostly with serious quarrel and I've seen those who were trying to calmly discipline their children) from living in ways that are currently frowned upon by society....

Many things contribute to the moral decadence and what not . I could just say the environment but that's not anything specific. So, I'll tell you the way I tell my little girl.

"I've experienced ups and downs and been dealt worse cards. But all that does not matter. What matters is my response and attitude. And whatever that might be, I'll be very willing and ready to face the consequences, whether good or bad. I'll simply just deal with it as it comes. Small girl, remember this is just your old man. Find your own and live and deal with it. "

I never knew writing this in English will sound so sweet😆
Na pigin English or my dialect I dey use talk to my little girl... No wonder English dey sweet African man like ripe pawpaw...

Religion / Re: Was Matthew 28 VS 19 Altered By The Catholic Church? by correctguy101(m): 8:13am On Dec 13, 2023
oteneaaron:
At this point, we have to ask some very important questions:

1. Since we have solid proof that the Catholic Church altered Matthew 28 VS 19, what other Bible verses have they altered?

2. Can we really trust the Bible with this sort of evidence?

3. What if we dug deeper into the Bible and found out that many other verses were altered by the Catholic Church - what happens in that case?

Don't forget that the Bible as we know it today, was practically given to the world by the Catholic Church - it was they who canonized the entire books of the bible.

Something all these bible oversabi wielders seem to forget when attacking the Catholic Church. Especially the JWs.

To them, just adding Jehovah and changing a few words makes their NWT the most grammatically simplified version of "God's Word"...

And you forget to know that nobody in the Old Testament was a “Christian” …. Read that again!

Also the laws were too hard to the people and that is the reason God sent his son Jesus to re arrange laws and bring a new era of love, peace, grace and forgiveness. But that does not concern you

One thing Muslims do alot that I find funny is they always play the “what about game” ….. when asked a question they will avoid the question ( cos they are embarrassed by what Muhammad did) by asking “ what about” your Bible, same or similar violence happened in the “ old “ testament…. It is Called for a reason!

But let’s go with what you think the Bible says, but nowhere in the Bible did God of the Bible command is people of attack, rape, steal from peaceful people? No where did they forced thier religion on people, no where did was pedophilia institutionalized….. but same can’t be said of the Quran.

The legacy of Muhammad is so evil that his command lead to the destruction of most part of the world today!

Had to farabale to read it before I comment.
N1m for kidney is too small if it's a legal donor.
All happened cos of poverty. None of the donors did it voluntarily but when they heard N10m their brain stood up thinking it was huge sum. A boy that has never seen N50K has profit before ll marveled at N1m.
What about the agents?
It's there that agents too are past donors. They get 10% shares, that's N100K of every N1m black market kidney price in Abuja.
That Yahaya Musa go don spend more than N1m on medicals after selling his kidney. Now he's back to poverty level. I usually tell young boys I know that it doesn't pay to seek illegal routes to seek funds.
The earlier the better govt should fish out illegal kidney sellers & spoil their trade. Govt should also improve this economy. It's barbaric that those selling kidneys for N1m don't realize it's so poor cos N1m in this economy is like N100K 30 years ago.

Most people know this already.

Not like I'm helping provide excuse for evil but the environment has really made too many monsters.

The personalities of many has changed. Sometimes I wonder if the Nigeria I know in the 80s and 90s is in another universe and I've somehow been transported into another.

People would watch an accident victim die than help rush said person to the hospital for immediate treatment. It wasn't like that before.

Nigerians used to care before but not anymore. Even Ibadan that I once thought was filled with many polite people is also like a zombie town now. My last visit made me know it's all over for the country. Everyone wants to eat everyone now.

These things change over the years. The system has gone haywire...
