CodeTemplar: Your supporters(obidients) do not like protests. They believe they will be targetted because of the fallout of the bitter war decades ago and so are always waiting for others to protest while they rationalize and celebrate the ensuing chaos a protest produces.
They did it when Jonathan was prevented from acting in place of Yar A'dua. It was the people on the side of Adeboye at 2012 subsidy protests/2013 prayer walk that also fought for Jonathan but Obidients became his fiercest supporters until their chest beating attitude left him isolated. So basically the opposition then only played opposition by pointing out a d criticizing what was wrong and making mockeries when they can. Today's opposition would do same today if the same scenario play out. That doesn't mean they would be fighting for the acting president.

FSBoperator: There's an existing law in the US known as the Church Act that explicitly states that any church, religious body or figure who openly endorses any candidate will automatically lose their tax exempt status
This act is still in place although Trump has continued to flaunt it by protecting his fanatical evangelical Zionist pastors and the Chabad rabbis who openly support , campaign and direct funding to Trump.
Once the Democrats take over, they have vowed to lift tax exemption on all these Zionist entities .
I believe such law is well over due in Nigeria

These are some bad actions of the NSA boss Ribadu that are proven because he was caught in the act, proven, and became a scandal. Note that these are only the proven and scandalous ones. There are probably actions he's taken that didn't make it to the media.
1. Few weeks after he was made NSA boss, he was caught in a gathering smiling happily while a Muslim cleric was calling for violence on Christians. That cleric still walks the north freely till this day delivering his extremists sermons.
2. He was caught not only creating, but also arming Fulani militias with weapons more sophisticated than the ones the regular military man can be seen carrying. He claims the Fulani militia was created to protect victims of Fulani terrorism which is an irony. Because how can you arm a thief to protect me from himself, and refuse to arm me to protect myself from the thief. And when I arm myself, you do everything possible to disarm me and prosecute me for possession of illegal arms ?
3. He was caught not just defending but justifying the activities of terrorists and bandits, claiming "they are our brothers". Showing that the man who is supposed to protect us from elements like bandits and terrorists, actually has a soft spot for them and seeks to not act based on a so-called shared brotherhood.
Now the question one might ask is, are these not enough grounds to give him the sack? For a president that considers his administration serious about security as it affects the common man, and who has the constitutional powers to sack this scandalous, incompetent, and compromised NSA boss, why hasn't he done so?
It didn't take him this long to overhaul the security cabinet when his life was threatened by a failed coup. So why is he dragging his feet when it affects the common man?
Why must his personal interest come before the interest and lives of Nigerians? |

aybabz101: You might not support armed militia, but the Nigerian state makes this scieneria a possibility...
the armed forces, the police, the DSS etc have all failed in their designated constitutional duties...
And please, Amotekun are restricted to only dane guns and not contemporary weapons........(think about that..a constitutionally formed regional security network though by the states)
And the office of the NSA have been reported to arm "Fulani forest gauards" with automatic rifles of which one was caught in Kwara performing heinous act......
If you are from the south...., please open your eyes and analyse the data in front of you...and stop these english and professionalism....
We are at war and you lot dont know it ....
please no more political correctness... lets empower our states as this is the only option for now..let the states take care of their local security architecture.... That NSA boss who armed Fulani militia with automatic weapons (and was exposed) is an appointee of your brother who is the president. Infact he is not just an appointee but also an ally. Even after the expose, he is still occupying that sensitive position. Your brother can easily sack that NSA if his intentions are pure. So stop talking as if you are handicapped and without options left. Talk to your brother, my dear Abbas. See how much he rates you. |

Politics › Re: IGP Disu Warns Against Recording Police On Duty For Content Creation (Video) by CorrectionFLuid: 5:14pm On May 31 |
Richtaiwo: The IG appears to believe Nigerians will approach this policy with restraint and responsibility. The moment he publicly stated that citizens were free to record police officers on duty, I knew that abuse of the privilege was only a matter of time.
I would not be surprised if the policy is reversed soon. The fact that the IG had to make such a clarification suggests that recordings are already being repurposed for content creation. And, trust elements of lawlessness, this is just the beginning.
There is also a small but vocal segment of frustrated ragtags determined to test every limit of law and order, treating every freedom as an opportunity for mischief rather than responsibility. A quick glance at some of the reactions online, even on this thread will attest to this fact. APC will not be in power forever o. And even if so, it may not be who you like that will always be there. So let's be careful of what we are supporting. This thing can boomerang on you o. And you will realize how powerless you are |

Biafra didn't like Midwest and attacked it... Lolz SMH. I think I've made my point by exposing you and your ilks, reason why you're beginning to sound like a drunk. I have mentioned prominent men who said "no we will no longer tolerate the atrocities meted on us by the west, and we want out" Till today, you can't bring forth any prominent example of the so-called separatists of the old east. Adaka boro was not a prominent person of the time, he wasn't even up to the level of Nnamdi kanu. He was more of a Simon ekpa. And he wanted out of Nigeria. Not separation for the eastern region, the way the Midwest did. Stop accusing people of what you are guilty of. |

The western region remains the only region to have entertained and granted a plebiscite at their regional house in Ibadan for the seccesion of the minority provinces that will later become known as Midwestern Nigeria that is today Edo and Delta state.
It's also public knowledge that the motion was raised in Ibadan by a Yoruba man and the majority Yoruba house adopted it without debate.
After the conclusion of the referendum, it was still a Yoruba man at the Federal Parliament in Lagos that moved a motion for the Parliament to ratify the plebiscite and recognise the creation of Midwestern region.
The agitation to leave western Nigeria was started by the then Oba of Benin who for not wanting to be treated lower in the House of Chiefs began the agitation.
Note that western Nigeria was the only region to operate a bimecurial system with the House of Commons being reserved for elected members and the House of Chiefs (similar to the British House of Lords) that was reserved for first class traditional rulers. This house of chiefs served as the Senate .
Now let's go to both the north and eastern Nigeria.
The mantra "one north" was coined by the Sardunna to declare that the north will not be balkanized. This was due to the agitation of the now present middle belt aka Pagan Provinces to leave Northern Nigeria.
In your Eastern region, agitation to leave by the minorities was squashed by the Ibo majorirties almost immediately the region was created in 1951.
Western Cameroun opted to leave Eastern Nigeria citing severe marginalisation by the Ibo majority in Enugu regional house.
Their wish was granted by the British in 1960 before independence.
The minorities in Eastern Nigeria then began their clamour for their own separate region ; Calabar -Ogoja-Rivers region comprising today of present day Rivers, Bayelsa , Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers.
Zik even warned his Ibo majority that any balkanization of the then eastern region by granting the wishes of the coastal minorities will see what is left of the Eastern region, the poorest in the federation and to that effect, the Ibo majority did everything to prevent minority MPs from even mentioning any talk of secession from the Eastern region.
The minorities then took their plight to the Federal Parliament in Lagos and secured the support of the north, western and newly created Midwestern Federal MPs to grant a plebiscite for the minorities .
This was in late1965 and the matter was rescheduled to the next year and placed as top priority in the docket of parliament to be addressed after the Christmas break
A few days before the federal house was to convene, you Ibos struck and dismantled regional govt, imposed yourselves as supreme leaders in a centrist system.
This is why the date Jan 15 is very important because the house was just days from reconvening.
One Adaka Boro knew what motivated the coup and he declared secession from Nigeria under Niger Delta Republic.
Zik ordered Ironsi to stomp out the rebellion which was outsourced to Ojukwu who went on an earth scorching mission pillaging minority communities . This forced Adara Boro to surrender to Ojukwu.
Boro was driven to Lagos in the boot of a salon car naked and only given a pair of jeans and no shirt when he was arraigned for high treason . His trial was accelerated and he was sentenced to death by hanging.
Meanwhile the bastards that carried out the coup were living comfortably in prison with their salaries still being paid and promotions even approved by Ironsi.
The rest is the real history you refuse to acknowledge. Your people are well known for accusing others of what they are guilty of. You opened your comment with "God almighty you can lie". Then went ahead to do just that. So Yoruba people campaigned for the freedom of the Midwest... Wonderful. I'm very certain you're of the camp that lie that Tinubu willingly nominated osibanjo for VP and stepped down for him. I'm also certain you're one of those who lie that madam Tinubu the slave trader fought against slavery and slave trade. Y'all would commit atrocities, then turn around to play hero when exposed. With this submission of yours, you just rubbished the struggles of the following Midwest legends Oba Akenzua II Chief Humphrey Omo-Osagie Chief Dennis Osadebay Chief Anthony Enahoro Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh And many more. You've tried to take away their struggle for their people, and what it means for those people and the generations after them, just because you want to whitewash a history stained with atrocities. |
