PoliticsRe: Igbos Do Not Need Nigeria by CorrectionFLuid: 2:37pm On May 31
.
The Midwest couldn't stomach your atrocities on them that they had to start protesting and campaigning vehemently to leave you less than 3 years after independence.

They finally got it in 1963. 3 years. Ordinary 3 years!!!

Yiu couldn't keep them for ordinary 3 years yet you point accusing fingers.

If the eastern minorities were oppressed so much as you claim, why didn't they borrow a leaf from the Midwest and leave too?

Instead they stuck with us through thick and thin. Braved the civil war with us, and finally, you had to come in and separate us with military force.

And that evil army of division was headed by no other than a man from the same region that oppressed the Midwest out of their region.

You are describing what you were doing in the Eastern Region that made Boro ask for the Niger Delta Republic, which was stopped by the SE leadership that was in power then.

Added:
Mind you the West allowed the Mid-West to stand on their own, till Biafra came and attacked them for no reason.
Adaka boro is one man. The minorities of the old eastern region had their council which consisted of politicians, elites and traditional rulers of the time. They did not campaign extensively to leave the east.

That action happened in only one region of this country, and that was the west. They left And still, it hasn't stopped you from oppressing them even as of today.

Added:
Mind you the West allowed the Mid-West to stand on their own, till Biafra came and attacked them for no reason.
The Midwest cried out to part ways from you people. The federal government then controlled by the north saw it as an opportunity to weaken awolowo who wasn't in good standing with them at the time.

You ""allowed"" them to stand on their own... See your mouth. one is allowed to fool himself tho. What I won't tolerate is lies and propaganda.

newnigeriannew:
But you needed one Nigeria, when some parts of the South South were in the former eastern region who were being marginalised, because a South East man was in power then.

When South East were in power and Niger Delta wanted the Niger Delta republic as they were being marginalised by the south east, the South East were the ones that stopped them.

"before Ojuku a south east man declared the
republic of biafra in may 1967
Isaac adaka boro an Ijaw man had already declared the
Niger delta republic in february 1966.
boro had formed the niger delta
volunteer force an armed militia with
members consisting mainly of his fellow
ethnic group declared the niger delta
republic on february 23 1966 and fought
nigeria's federal forces for 12 days but
they were eventually defeated and then
jailed by the Ironsi a south east man in the federal
military government [and Ojuku a south eastern governor] for treason"

But it was Gowon from Kanke Local Government Area in Plateau State that later set boro free and boro later became a major in the Nigeria army and helped to tame the Biafra army.

The South East started the civil war because they wanted to take the lands and oil of the Niger Delta and their sea ports from the people that own the Niger Delta, because the Europeans came and created Nigeria and put some parts of the Niger Delta in the SE then and the south east coup of 1967 made Ojukwu the military governor of the SE region.

There's only one region where the minorities campaigned extensively to leave and form its own region. And that region is the west.

You guys love accusing others of what you are guilty of.

The Midwest fought to part ways from you people because of your wickedness. That never happened in the old eastern region.

Adaka boro fought to leave Nigeria, not east. And he didn't recruit his soldiers overnight. It happened through years of northern oil domination of their land which is still ongoing today with connivance from your people.

Don't paint it like Ironsi came to power, and boom, he recruited fighters and want to leave due to oppression from a very new government. It takes time to recruit people who will put their lives on the line for a cause.

Even the old Midwest, you have installed iyaloja there, imposing your culture upon them with the small presidency you got. I mean, they have left you and your oppression, but you refuse to leave them and to stop oppressing them.

If you can do this now regardless of their opinion, only God knows how it used to be back then.

You accuse Igbo of trying to dominate, please remind us which ooni connived with the sultan of Sokoto to become permanent co-chair men of the Nigerian traditional rulers council.

The idea is while the sultan becomes the king of kings of the north, the ooni becomes the king of kings of the South.

Even as the plan got exposed and failed, it didn't stop the ooni from addressing himself as such.

And This is also something that happened recently. Now imagine how it used to be.

Stop accusing people of things you are guilty of.
PoliticsRe: Why The Followers Of Colonel Ojukwu Should Stop Saying He Released Chief Awolowo by CorrectionFLuid: 1:52pm On May 31
.
Its a well known fact that the eastern government of the time were pro awolowo in the fight between him and akintola.

And the northern government of the time, including the central government of tafawa balewa were pro akintola, and being the power at the center, they connived, charged him for treason and locked him up in Calabar where his supporters won't reach him.

So awolowos wife being on the eastern government's payroll, which actually happened, is not as dramatic as Ojukwu jailbreaking awolowo out from federal prison.

And we all know that the civil war is all painted in glory in the east.

There are some elected candidates who will be more proactive in rescuing the victims.

There are some elected candidates who will not try to tribalize security situations.

There are some elected candidates who will not make insensitive comments like, "they want ti remove me with insecurity but I am stubborn".

There are some elected candidates who will not say the insecurity will only stop after election.

Yes elections have consequences.

You don't have to stoop to their level...

We all know they have traded their senses for scraps but joking with a situation such as this, where babies have been kidnapped for weeks while the president who's supposed to give direct orders to get them out is speaking jargon is nothing funny tbh.

It could happen to anyone...then you won't see the need to joke.
If you like find it distasteful or disamalaful.

These people would spring out one south during Buhari era when they're feeling sidelined, only to turn back and slap our faces.

Protesting is your right but must be done in accordance to the law.

For the so-called protest for the release of Oyo kidnap victims, everyone that wants to protest must go to his or her state and protest there.

And if the governments has secured court order limiting the protest venue to a particular location, it must be obeyed by the protesters.

Everybody has right to movement and that right must not be disrupted by a few disgruntled individuals.
