Erediauwa:Hon. Chinda actually protested the clear vote buying and rigging that occurred in the National Assembly. He even protested against on channels TV. Ndudi Elumelu is the guy PDP should be watching suspiciously. |
Bollocks! |
I just watched the whole brouhaha just now on channels. Gbaja does not look like a speaker that will last. He lacks emotional intelligence of a political leader. |
This demented woman has killed this case by bringing party issues into it. Abbo will be smiling right now. He may finally even walk free by claiming his being politically victimized. Kai! Abike is actually pretending to be intelligent. She is not. Tufia! |
Nice one... He should be taught a bitter lesson. A HiV positive opposition politician who should be fighting for citizens rights is the one abusing their rights. If the Senate tries to defend him, Nigerians should storm the National Assembly and cause mayhem. |
How the hell did he even win his election in Adamawa? I guess he rode on Atiku's popularity in Adamawa during the polls. |
Au79:Same old irrelevant epistle. We remember when one your CMDs entered the lab to run PCV (one of the most basic tests that lab assistants can run) during JOHESU strike and messed up the samples some years ago, yet you want to head the Scientist, or is it your Dr Enabulele for NMA president that claimed Vibrio cholerae was gram positive yet calls himself a pathologist who must head the Scientist. A Medical Scientist is medically trained and is qualified to interprete results, go on labtests online and do your findings. It's an FDA, AMA, ASCP, ASCLS approved website for all diagnotic test information. You can even contact a Scientist for enquiries. Stop trying and hustling to downplay the laboratory because of your insecurities with your mumbo jumbo.
|
Au79:We are not talking about stone age sentiments, we are talking verifiable facts, statistics which well beyond you and which is well beyond your level of comprehension. Modern men will embrace facts when it is slammed on their faces but your likes run away from it when shown the truth. One easy way of identifying poorly trained quacks physicians is that you hear them downplay the importance of investigation, they are most commonly known as 'dokita malaria'. Every ailment for them is linked to "malaria and typhoid" I'm not responding to you for the sake of response, I'm also educating Nigerians whom you have deceived for so long for the sake of posterity so they may know the goings-on. You are not empowered to head a Medical Scientist, the constitution does not allow you, and 9 court judgements have affrimed that You can not be more intelligent than all the legislators and judicial officers who put you in your rightful place and insist that you head your own professionals while others head theirs. |
Au79:You are not very bright in the head I must say. You are just another undergrad flexing his muscle online without proper coherence and articulation of idea. Why not go find out how WHO president Teodoros who is a member of African Society of Medical Laboratory Scientists is tackling global health issues without MBBS. Find out also why the Ministers/Secretary of health in UK and USA do not need your degree yet better than your country in all health indices. The only time Nigeria improved on the health indices map was when Prof Eyitayo Lambo a non-physician and a trained health economist was made Minister of health. Indians were coming to Nigeria for health care diagnosis and treatment. You are here deceiving people because Nigerians choose to wallow in ignorance. |
Au79:Stop deceiving yourself. The principles methodologies and use of those tests are taught to Scientists from undergraduate even to Post-baccalaurete and post-graduate levels, according to their specialities. Medical laboratory is very dynamic and always evolving field. |
Freddonance:You think only physician order tests? Go read about Direct Consumer tests (DCT) , Consumer ordered tests (COT), Walk in tests in the United States and other advanced countries. You don't necessarily need physician to order. Patients who are educated and informed can Walk in and choose their tests. Even Labcorp one of the biggest lab chains in the USA offers Walk-ins and DCT tests. Go take a sit and read labtests online website. |
Au79:Your submission have been rehashed and debunked severally, a few keystrokes during research in the search box for previous similar threads will clear your doubt. If Medical laboratory Science is as irrelevant as you always struggle to paint it, it won't be on Critical skill list of Advanced countries like Canada, Ireland, Aussie etc. Those test panels are comparatively more complex than the malaria and typhoid you are used to in your fake side labs, that's why you don't run them in your and hardly even request them. Most physicians know less than 5% of over 18000 available test panels and investigations, especially for Non-communicable diseases (NCDs). That's an irrefutable fact. |
Some universities would have covered the issue and swept it under carpet. Oluwole forgery is bad and criminal. |
danilmo:A neonate in the medical field who can't even string two proper sentences together will 'tame' a Professor of Molecular diagnostics and a Fellow of Institute of Biomedical Sciences (FIBMS) UK in his field? Laughable! Even your lecturers wouldn't dare. Go to Uniben and ask your Chiefs. Seems Nigerian medical schools also double as a place for training circus clowns. ![]() |
Freddonance:Whichever way you look at it, the Scientist who runs the test and writes his report is the one being consulted, your bitter politics nothwithstanding. |
The beach will stink of cow dung. Too bad. |
Freddonance:Investigations are run in the laboratory with provisional diagnosis. Just like prescription notes are given before drugs are dispensed. Nobody is a magician. The key word here is 'suspected' but suspicion is not definitive, that's why you consult the laboratory. Just as the police will say 'everybody is a suspect' but investigations must be done before you can definitively confirm that the person is a criminal. It's common sense. |
Freddonance:A real physician doesn't downplay the importance of investigations just because he is not grounded in them. That your submission and comment raised a red flag about your qualifications. Even Jman detected it a long time ago. |
Freddonance:Actually your physician pathologists who are trying to head the labs are the most redundant and laziest group of physicians in Nigeria. It's common knowledge. Even other physicians in other specialties like Surgery, O and G, mock them with it. Most of them rush down to the lab to do nothing but gossip that's why they find enough time antagonize the Scientists. Take an unbiased survey. You are most likely an undergrad, and you are talking to a post-baccalaureate specialist in the field of mycoplasmology with his PhD in very close view, so I am qualified to give you the lecture you so crave for. You sit and learn. |
Freddonance:If every physician knows what the every result will be qualitatively and quantitatively without proper investigations, then you can as well close down your side lab and consult only the 'Oracle' in your brain since laboratories are not important, you can as well write to the American Medical association and American Society for Clinical Laboratry Science (ASCLS) and ask them to shut down every lab and stop research on new test methodologies. I doubt you already a physician, maybe still a student still being brainwashed in Nigerian class rooms by failed physicians who ran away from consulting rooms into the academia. I strongly suspect. There is no test that a Medical Scientist can not run in his field of expertise and specialty, from molecular to even forensics. They are boss when it comes to laboratory investigations, they spend their whole training on it from undergraduate to professional to post-graduate levels. In your quest to downplay the importance of Scientist you keep committing intellectual gaffes. I'm sure you were not taught that laboratory tests are not just for diagnosis, but also for monitoring, evaluation and even epidemiological studies. Every test has it merits. Maybe when you graduate you'll settle paternity disputes by just looking at faces of the Alleged fathers, then look up the sky and then give a verdict about who the real father of the neonate is. Ofcourse you are a 'clinical magician'. |
danilmo:If in your own 'social medicine', the Scientists are placed down the totem pole. A Scientist won't be the head of World health organization as we speak. Today's Scientists are not push overs, they know their value and affirm it rightfully. ![]() |
Freddonance:Actually it is the Scientists that educate physicians on the value and interpretation of most high complexity tests. I'm not talking about MP and Widal that you get any road side person to run in your dirty side labs without Quality control. Go and read the D.CLS curriculum of the United States. I'm talking about investigations like Alpha feto protein, cortisol assay, CEA assay, CKMB markers, Troponin Assays, Allergy panels, Australia antigen, Transferrin assay, apolipoproteins, Bence-jones etc. Many Nigerian physicians don't know the validity of these investigations, it sounds like rocket science to some of them when you are not talking about malaria and typhoid test. There are more than 18,000 tests and investigations and the Medical Scientists are the professionals who are grounded and specialized in them. Take that to the bank. |
danilmo:If you like see white and call it black like the typical Nigerian sociopath, that is your cup of tea. Call them lab man o, lab woman o, lab coat man o, they remain astute Scientists and Laboratorians according to the Nigerian constitution in tandem with global best practice. Continue with your malaria and typhoid practice. Dokita malaria na u sabi. In fact na you Biko! ![]() |
Bsmartt:This is the best advise so far. The name of the lecturer should even be published so that when the idiot loses his job. He will find it difficult to get employed elsewhere. |
danilmo:Oga enough of the playing around with words. Medical laboratory science is essentially 'laboratory medicine'. Forget politics. If you google laboratory medicine right now on your phone, the first result that comes up is Medical laboratory or clinical laboratory science. A physician can never be more grounded than a medical laboratory scientist who spent 5+1+1 plus post-graduate years studying and specializing the methodologies and principles in the clinical laboratory field. The Medical laboratory scientist even educate the physicians about new test methodologies in Molecular biology, immunology , etc. Even when the physicians are studying for their so called post-graduate certs, they go to the laboratories of Professors of medical laboratory science who own specialized laboratories (I can mention some) such DNA labs, mycology labs, parasitology labs, clincal toxicology labs to run their samples using specialized methods during thesis. Lahor research laboratories in Benin is an example, it is own by Prof Agbonlahor a renowned Medical Scientist. Many post-graduate and undergrad medical students go there for their research projects. Stop pretending that medical lab science ends with Malaria and typhoid. In the medical college every profession has an input in the tinkering of all professionals during training be it Physicians, Scientists, pharmacists, nurses, radiographers etc. |
Kingosytex:Polygragh tests are scientifically unreliable. Going through anxiety under arrest is enough to make you fail the test, even if you are innocent. They give false positive results 95% of the time. |
phineas:Do your research, even here on NL Medical Scientists have shown you several instances and references that highly educated Medical Scientists head medical and reference laboratories in the advanced world and are currently heading the World health organization. If you want, we can still dig it up before you mislead Nigerians as you always do. Google Gary Moore, a Consultant Biomedical Scientist in the UK. He is a holder of Doctor of Biomedical science (DBMS) just like D.MLS in USA and Ghana. I'm giving you a direct specific example, names and places. Not generalized mumbo-jumbo like you always do. |
GidiWoodsMan:I think you are sounding like the lunatic here. There is no country with an Advance health care system where Medical laboratory science training is scrapped and done only at post-graduate level, because your likes feel insecure. In fact in every advanced country Medical laboratory scientists are on the critical skill list. From Canada to Ireland to Aussie, you name it. A friend just got his permanent residency in Ireland after working for just one year as a Medical scientist over there. He is on his way to becoming a full Irish citizen in the next 2 years. He finished NYSC just 3 years ago. |
Horus:How can he be unhappy with players he didn't use? There is nothing special about Rohr. He is just overpaid because of the colour of his skin. Shikena! |
phineas:We are no longer in the stone age where you come out and deceive people about what standards should be adopted in the health sector as long as suit only you. Every health professional is autonomous and cannot be dependent on you administratively. The Medical Scientist spends 5 years in University, plus one year internship, one year in Nysc and also goes for postgraduate certifications, M.Sc and PhD. They are not your run-off-the-mill professionals as you like to claim in order to deceive people. In saner climes signing a Medical or biomedical scientist generated result may land you a fine or even jail time, it is pure plagiarism (especially in the UK) You can do a simple research. Physicians sign doctor's report, Scientists sign laboratory reports. That's an unalloyed fact. A friend who is Medical Scientist in Aussie and has an M.Sc in Molecular biology works in DNA testing laboratory, he signs the results he generates. Stop trying usurp roles that are not yours in order to maintain relevance. The WHO president is a member of the African Society for Medical Laboratory Scientists ASMLS). He is not a physician. That's one fact you like to hide from Nigerians. Laboratories in the private sector will rightfully headed by competent Medical Scientists, that's what the law says and that is what is globally obtainable. There are more than 18,000 different laboratory tests and Medical Scientists are properly trained and grounded in their methodologies, principles and uses. Very few physicians know more than Malaria parasite tests, Widal and Full blood count in Nigeria. This is a fact. And statistics have shown that in Nigeria most fake results emanate from physician owned hospital 'side labs' because they find it difficult to invest and employ properly trained Scientists in the labs. They prefer to employ Aux Nurses, and other quacks who they can pay a measly amount per month to man those fake 'side labs'. |
phineas:The Nigeria Law and consistution in tandem with global practices makes it imperative that Medical Laboratory Scientist head their department. That law was passed after intelligent Nigerian lawmakers sat down in the Red and green chambers and acticulated it. Since then, the Medical laboratory Scientists who are the real laboratorians as recognized all over the world have gone to courts and have gotten more than 9 judgements against you meddlessome physicians. You are not a fraction as intelligent as all the law makers and the judges who have ruled against you. Stop trying to deceive Nigerians |
comshots:You have the right to your opinion. Nigerians have the right to theirs |
So wen is prof agbonlahor coming to teach me med student a medical clinical approach as regards laboratory practice between me and my patient for proper care??
