Who do you want us to believe, Sahara reporters? This is a link from the city of Lansing PDF document in Michigan where Philip claimed he earned a PhD. Can it be that resolution 109 of the same document was also forged? Or there is something also wrong with those that wrote the resolution about the man-Philip Emeagwali?

I await a rejoinder to the Sahara reporter article as soon as possible by those who are in the States with privileged info (credible) on the same.

Below is the link (Resolution 109 is of interest):

Politics / Re: Goodbye America, Welcome Nigeria by coshman: 1:47am On Oct 20, 2010
I must say I am one of the few people who have seen it all both in Europe and in Nigeria and conclude that I still prefer to be resident in Nigeria even after years of sojourn abroad.

I manage to read all the post before my reply anyway and conclude that while majority see Europe or even the Americas as heaven, a handful see Nigeria especially as heaven as well. Opinions differ and I believe as a wise people on NL, you do not have to force your opinion on others. The man in question has decided to leave the US after 22 years. What one earth makes some of you think that he is leaving because he is jobless? Common, let us be realistic here. There must be something more than lack of job taking this man out of the US. I must add that he has managed to allay the fear of both Nigeria and for himself by fellow Nigerians especially those in the Diaspora before leaving the States. At his age, if he tells you he is leaving to contribute his quota to Nigeria, believe him. After all, he is not begging any of us to lend him money for his flight ticket.

For those Nigerians abroad at the moment especially those full of praise for their respective host countries, it is not all you read about Nigeria that is true. Just a few days ago(Saturday to be precise) I about someone who also left Europe (UK to be precise) for Nigeria and he is making it big time in the hospitality industry in spite of the many challenges people enumerate here about the country – Nigeria. It is different strokes for different folks.

I completed my degrees (first to third) in the UK and have lectured in some universities across Europe but on a tour of Nigeria few years ago, I was contacted by one of the owners of a private University in Nigeria to teach a module in Engineering for a fee. I opt to take the same module for free and only when I am on vacation, but I later realised the school calendar does not fit into my schedule. The bottom line is that I decided to give the offer a trial for free while I was in Nigeria. I was equipped with my lecture notes and just had chats with the students and went away. I discover from the question I was asked same day by those students that there are so many things missing or the students are yet to know and the passion to return to pour out my mind on the same course was burning deep in me by the day. I realised I was teaching those that already know most of what I was teaching in Europe as such I do not have much challenge out there, but I needed a new challenge. I had to leave Europe for Nigeria a year after that visit to take up the position on a full time basis. I must say that I am not after the money but the passion to educate men and women who are full of life but with less exposure. This I can say is my own way of contributing to the educational sector in Nigeria. It must not all be about politics before one can lend a hand. In the few months that I have started to teach these students, I saw changes and that gladdens my heart daily. I can confidently say here that I do NOT for once miss Europe. I settled in fine and the power problem people complain about does not move me because I know this is a phase in the life of the development of this country. If you want to remain in Europe or the US then fine, but do not ever say it is better off where you are. It is like a 2 sided coin, it depends on what or how you see it. Sooner or later most of you will be tired of you places of abode if not now then in some years to come. I have said and written worst things about Nigeria before now. Finally, I am being paid handsomely here and I have all I need at least for now.
Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Got A Job And Became A Monster! by coshman: 10:39am On Jul 07, 2010
Omo, I have been in the same shoes b4 now but as a man.The lady in question also supported me when I was waiting for a job but she lacks something wey dem dey call character. She is hot tempered and dont want me to even talk to some of my old friends. As a man, u av to give me reasons not to do somthing at least but her reason is that she does not like some of these friends of mine.Haba ! These r friends that I went to school with for God sake. She cant come overnyt to tell me that. There was a day this lady push me against the wall and held onto my neck for speaking to a female colleague even while she cud listen to our conversation. She was according to her protecting her 'beloved asset' in the person of me, but that method fear me o.
Meanwhile this omo dey wait make I propose to am.I no even mention such thinking she will change, but she later displayed her usual xter in the presence of my sister.Na dat one I take give her sack letter(mean while I don dey hammer then as I later got a job as well). So this thing is a 2-way thing. While I am not saying u r at fault here, it is best if the guy can tell u where it all went wrong. If u know where or how to make him say same but if not then, just be urself.
On the other hand, it may be he is seeing another 'vision' and as such wants a change of guard.U wrote that he has an international job, so he may just be seeing some international ladies as well. Finally, if u r meant for him or vice versa, he will surely go and come back. But if not regard all u have done for him in the past as being done for charity and pray to God to show u the way forward.God may just have saved u from a a true monster.
