The opportunity is a life changing opportunity, but whatever the outcome is,, life must continue.. for two years or so alot of here and there information about this recruitment, still we are all striving in our various present places of work..

So as long as you have not gotten regret mail from them, and there is no real evidence that people have moved to the next stage in the position you applied for, Keep your fate.

If I can remember, both Associates and operators did same assessment the first and second time ( stand to be corrected) but when the news whether true or false came that operators have had their interview many of us moved on with life only to get the recent mail for another Assessment.

So in conclusion, whatever we don't have control over no need killing ourselves on it. Time will clarify everything

Nigerians and gate keeping, bro that is always asking for interview questions, bro practiced best to your ability, if they want to help you with the questions they would have helped you since, people that have done interviews have seen this thread(They are ignoring your questions on purpose, something that won't take 2 minutes to type that guy is giving conditions), if God carry u reach the interview he go finish the rest.

Hello house, kudos to everyone keeping this thread active.

Please, I want to clarify a specific trend regarding the ongoing Chevron Operator/Associate Operator recruitment process to understand how the batches are moving.

Can anyone confirm the situation for the group of candidates who:

1. Applied originally for Associate Operator in late 2024.
2. Were advanced to take both the online test and the Physical Interview for the main Operator role around July 2025.

The questions are:

- Did ANYONE who reached that physical interview stage get re-invited for the recent June/July 2026 re-assessment tests or the July 31st second-phase assessment?

- Or was that entire physical interview batch excluded from these recent summer 2026 tests?

Just trying to track if Chevron is keeping the previous interviewees in a separate pool entirely while they sort out the fresh testing batches.

The interview later held today and they asked this questions :
What is PPE , and mention the basic examples of PPE
what's operator routine duties and why is it important
What's HUEST and BOSIET in offshore
What's P&ID, and what are the scenarios that can make you use it
What is zero energy state of an equipment and how can you achieve that
What are the precaution to do before breaking a flange containing oil and gas

Ten questions in total, but I cannot remember the last 3 questions
It is chevron from what the guy said(agbami deep water)

Restructuring is ongoing in Chevron, globally about 10% staffs will be disengaged, another recruitment will take place by June, and it will continue for the next five years.
Concerning the operator skill test and invitation, I learnt Chevron needs extremely few operators about three operators are needed, due to the restructuring in Chevron applicants for other positions are to exercise patience as soon as the restructuring is concluded then the next phase of the Chevron Nigeria Limited recruitment will commence.

I think the last three questions will determine who they will employ.

P&ID is a major document an operator needs to function and the interpretation is very important to the job function.

Any one that also answer that breaking of flange question wrongly is gone. If you break a flange wrongly, you can expose an asset to a hazardous situation.

Either way, anybody that works in oil and gas as an operator will agree that those question are likely questions.

Irregardless of the argument for or against the interview invitation, those questions are close to what can be asked in an operator interview

Well information reaching me this afternoon is that the Chevron Nigeria Limited Interview has not started yet, according to sources the Chevron Nigeria Limited invitation for interview will start next month.

Whether it is a Pre-Or Post Interview Invite, Congratulations to the Only (or Those) that got the invite.

But to me some things are certain
1. That has not being the pattern for others that have had their interviews
2. Even if it is real, it is likely for only Associates operators (Agbami and Escravos) because advert for experienced operators are only for Escravos not Agbami.
3. Like I have always said. we know Chevron is a great opportunity,but with or without it people will still move on.

So, before tomorrow ends everyone who participated in the exercise will receive an email which states whether they were successful or not.

Application portals will also be updated to reflect that. I doubt anything will change though.

At least people who are desperately hopeful will find closure.

I haven't heard of any or maybe they are not sharing. I am also an experienced hire and no information yet, I have also reached out to my former colleagues who participated in the interview, and they confirmed that they haven't been mailed as well....fyi we are all lead GRC applicant.
