The seller advertised a C300, and has pictures of a CLA.

Keep chanting 'sharp car 4get vin' there till you end up with a "sharp" car with flood or water damage, or worse.

Appearances can be very deceptive.

I just checked to see who I was responding to.

No surprises there. Another middleman.

That's probably because this vehicle does not appear to ever have been exported to or registered in the US or Canada.

This appears to be a Japanese origin 2001 Honda Civic LXI 5MT, registered and used in Asia for a time.

It would be tricky, obtaining any reliable history records for this vehicle, primarily because of the part of the world it was used in. Not impossible, just may cost much more than you'd be willing to part with for a history report.

If people like you had the common sense or the decency not to make such false claims, this would be a much safer and better place. But you don't. That's why you're able to claim Clean title for a Salvaged vehicle, and accident free for a vehicle with at least 1 accident in its history. You simply do not have any of those basic human qualities.

That's why you will continue to be called out as and at when necessary. Be glad that the nuclear option wasn't chosen and you were given the chance to rectify the situation and not have to recover from what this advert would have turned into if that option was chosen.

You have at least one other advert currently running where you made similar false claims, and which I will get around to eventually, unless you beat me to it and do the right thing.

Regarding the moderators, no, chances are they don't even know the difference between a Clean Title and a Salvage one. Further, if they did, they may not even know or care enough to verify that a claim made by the lot of you middlemen is factual.

That's why it's up to you and other members in this section to have the decency not to blatantly lie or misrepresent facts.

Don't choose to align yourself with the other dishonest clown with all that drivel he posted up there. One click through his profile will reveal that he is the worst of the worst. The very kind of vehicle salesman that makes other salesmen look like filthy pigs.

You know what happens when you're in proximity to pigs. The stink finds its way onto you as well.

From the history, the vehicle appears to be in fair condition. There are no accidents recorded, and the autocheck score is quite remarkable.

The mileage does appear to be rather high for a 12 year old vehicle, but with adequate physical inspection by a professional, you may want to consider it for purchase.

Ensure the documentation is in order, before you make any commitments.

Did you even make the effort to check up on the in-house history providers?

It's important to support our own. If you cannot have enough trust in people with hundreds or thousands of reports to their credit, then perhaps the problem is from you, not from them.

We should endeavour to support our own. These reports cost 2000 - 3000 Naira. Do you really think either of these mentioned would want to scam you of 2000 naira when they have probably provided reports worth hundreds of thousands or millions?

At the part in bold, with that mentality, you're in trouble. The answer to your question is Yes, it makes sense.
So you're unwilling to pay insignificant amounts for VIN check for a car worth millions.

That's a penny wise situation.
