Mr Epistle thank you for your letter to all Nigerians!

For your information not everyone was here since day 1, some people actually searched online recently just to get this forum, read from pg 1 to the current page to understand the status quo and start contributing.

The fact that you are so quick to attack without even asking questions to confirm or refute your alleged claims show why you haven't been getting any response to your questions so far.

For your information, I am yet to get an appointment. I had to take a flight to Nigeria just to question the embassy for myself on why there hasn't been an appointment date for months and everything I typed there was based on my observation during such visits.

Since you're so wise I'm sure you're aware one of the requirements for the visa is applying in your country of origin or permanent residence or the nearest polish embassy for such cases where there isn't one in your country. For this reason it's not rare to see Nigerians living in other countries and foreigner applying at the embassy. Anyone that has visited the place before know you don't even have to do much to gather valuable information since it's an open space where everyone gather and discuss with each other.

Thank you for showing your knowledge of visas regime and laws, that's not a new information and any serious person on this thread is already aware of visa and border entry regulations. I have been to Poland several times and so far yet to be denied entry so no need to project your fears into the conversation. If you have any information or anything to contribute feel free to contact me as specified above, if not, keep waiting for your appointment date patiently.

This is my first and last message to you. Viel Glück!

Haha go and fight them after they reject you.
Write your letter to EU commission and others, then see who’s going to give you the VISA

In this life ehh, you will never understand until it gets to your turn. Mr Man understand what people are saying before you open your mouth to say something stupid. They have the right to turn down or refuse the visa request of people, but the rate is high. Why not just say from the beginning that we dont give visa due to so and so instead of suffering people and collecting their money

Lmfaoo bros you still don’t get it!

The rate of rejection being high is simply telling you they want less of us in their country! It’s that simple.

VISA rejection in India is even worse than in Nigeria.

Poland is a small nation, deeply conservative, and VERY protective of their historic demography and culture.

They’ll never have us flock into their country like UK, US, etc. These rejections without a good reason is obviously a method to regulate the inflow of people into their country from SPECIFIC nations. It’s been compounded lately by the ongoing Ukrainian refugee crisis.

It’s simple: they don’t want you in their country, then move on!
Fighting them by writing provoking letters to some organizations / commissions is the worst thing you can do. These EU commission and others you want to write to have NO power over the Polish Embassy or their decision - their law gave them full autonomy on that.

The Polish Embassy isn't interested in giving visa but collecting your 80 Euros (twice). This is is the core truth.

I think if we can come together we might be able to gather enough statistics and people to launch a complaint to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Ministry, EU Commission, and so on because these people are just denying visas for no valid reason.

I was there on two consecutive days - the first day out of 30 people only 2 were given visas. The two with visas had official diplomatic passports. The next day same scenario. Are they saying out of 50+ people no one was able to pass their requirements? Mind you some of these applicants had multiple Schengen, US, and UK visas. One guy has been traveling from Sierra Leone more than 5 times and getting denials!

Many others have applied for months without an appointment or any information yet if you check other countries like South Africa you will see free slots in abundance. If the polish embassy isn't interested in working they should just close or announce the suspension of consular services so we know where they stand. You email them and the only thing they know how to do is copy-paste the same response over and over.

I saw people on reddit create a spreadsheet for tracking their UK visas. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MB77V6RGzaTFvahSm6hCfiLTUB6B0A6qj2uxu4SdYfw/edit#gid=0).

I believe it's high time we do the same and start collating the necessary data so it will be all very clear for everyone what is happening in that embassy!!

I am already preparing a strong letter for their ministry about this their yeye embassy.

Nigerians will never disappoint.

For months now, many of us here have been asking “who got appointment?”, but y’all kept quiet, got appointment, still kept quiet. You attended VISA appointment, still kept quiet. But After the embassy rejected y’all you came here to type epistle, looking to rally people for some lost cause lol.

Bro! Better calm down. The embassy has every right to reject you from their country for any reason - It’s literally in their law. In fact, let me blow your mind: Even if the embassy gave you VISA, the Polish Border Guard can still deny you entry with your valid VISA, if they don’t want you in their territory for any reason - It’s all in their law.

Stop taking rejection personal. They reject people from every country on the planet at every embassy. It’s not news. Nigerians will always show their disgusting entitlement to everything!
Poland is a very small and conservative country (still stuck in the communist era) and they are not an Immigrant nation like the others we know.

My advice to anybody signing this yeye petition. Don’t start wahala you cannot finish. It’s their country and they have every right to determine who comes in! They never promised you anything or asked you to come.

Take your L and move on fam!

Greetings all, Please I have a question which has been bothering me for sometime now. please all I need your candid answers.

Is it possible for me to save up money to enroll for studies in Poland while working there on work visa for like after a year or so of work. Please I need answers to enable me make right decisions??

Frankly, not sure anyone here can help you with this answer.

It all depends on you, your income in Poland, your expenses, your needs for living/studies, and so many other things specific to you.
Not sure anyone here knows you enough to help you with all that calculation and decision-making. It's your personal thing to figure out yourself.

No offense meant but i disagree with the aspect you said embassy sells d slot to agent & u can only get date by buying from agent. This is false when it comes to study appointment. I don’t doubt the fact that it’s possible for work appointment but as far as study is concerned there is no back door.

If there was back door people would pay to get it.
If there was back door to pay, agent won’t tell you they can get date within 2-4weeks. They would have given you days time frame max a week.
Me personally i have given my details to agent for 3weeks and yet no date.
You see those agent people are paying for dates, they are collecting the fees for their hard labor(we all know it’s not easy to book date on the website) cos you have to keep checking even midnight.
Those agents employ hands to keep surfing the website till date popup.
I know of people who booked appointment date on their own without agents. One just have to be on the site at the right time date is released. The unfortunate part of it is the fact that we don’t know the right time or day because they ain’t organized. They do it as the spirit leads.

Back to my main post where i said people don’t share their experience to encourage others, you just made excuses for them in your response because if you check other travel trends, it’s not just the good side they share, they share the whole struggle as well. It keeps people informed and give an insight of what’s expected. This trend is too dry with no motivation as well. Whether is through agent or by oneself, people are getting appointment date and sharing their experience would lighten others.
Those that got scammed by fake agents for date, sharing their experience would also save someone else from falling victim.

I am also awear of some few persons applying through Senegal & i have been opportuned to speak with few. Sharing their experience here would also help someone.

Lastly you talk about your old account been deactivated because you spoke about senegal the last time, you acct was not deactivated because you tried sharing an information about Senegal. I can bet to the fact that your account was deactivated because of the approach you used in passing your message, you stated you can help people apply through Senegal and your contact was stated for further consultation. Then here is where the issue is, i know you had a good motive to help but then again scammers can do same. Your acct was deactivated because it might be flagged as you trying to defraud people which i know it’s not true because i have spoken with you before.

I wish all of us best of luck.
Please feel free to disagree with any aspect that doesn’t seat well with you. I just aired my view based on my experience & research.
Sorry for the long response

Hmmm Interesting!

Just sent you an e-mail boss. I have a question, abeg.

Life no suppose be like that.
The people answering your questions can as well ignore but they come here to check thread to help their little way. U can also be helpful your little way by giving people moral support with update!

Lol bro. This life ehn!

People will keep mute when they are getting appointments, then rush here with their long list of questions once they run into rejections. Lmfaoo!

I agree with you. More communication on appointment updates will at least help others get more clarity on whatever is happening with the Embassy.

Hello house, good morning please what if your sponsor has money market fund, can someone use it at the embassy if it's up to 10million plus the sponsor offer letter from work and payslip/statement of account. Thank you everyone

I doubt this is an acceptable proof of funds, albeit a sufficient amount.

Why?
A money market fund is a relatively illiquid asset compared to cash in the bank. The money is tied up in some investments, and it isn't something you can easily access for funding day-to-day living expenses - simple things like buying food.

Now, it gets more complicated since the investment is owned by your sponsor, not you. Essentially, it means your sponsor would have to keep selling their investment positions in order to keep covering your expense in Poland - frankly, that's not reasonable and most likely won't convince a VISA officer.

To add to it, the Embassy did not include Investment Assets as an option for proof of funds on their list. So, it's going to be difficult to have this accepted.

If your sponsor is really willing to go above and beyond for your journey, I think they should consider converting a sufficient part of their money market fund into cash in the bank dedicated to your sponsorship in the country.

Not expert advice. Do your own research.

Good morning,

I’ve been seeing a lot of messages regarding a weekly draw to get appointments for student visa. Please can someone explain how it works ?
Because I emailed the embassy and they are saying the only way to get the appointment is by checking their website.

Hey,

The weekly draw is now for Work Visa applicants only, afaik.

Student Visa applicants now get appointments by monitoring the e-konsulat website (all day, all night, every day lol), and booking immediately when new appointment dates are published.

Sadly, I'm in the waiting boat for a Work Visa appointment through the weekly draw. I wish the Work Visa appointment booking was just like the Student Visa.

Hope this helps.
Travel / Re: Polish Student Visa by counter44: 11:03am On Aug 13, 2022
See. Nothing here says the proof of funds must be money owned by a third-party sponsor.

Travel / Re: Polish Student Visa by counter44: 10:53am On Aug 13, 2022
Hannania:
The problem is using someone that isn't related to you. You have to prove to the embassy how you guys are related. How do you guys beat that?

Definitely not an expert in this matter. Take my suggestion with a pinch of salt.

If you own the "sufficient funds" already, I think you can go ahead to submit your own bank account statement. In my opinion, the more important part is you'd need to explain to the Embassy in your cover letter the amount you own in your account, evidence of how you've earned the money over time (employment docs/business docs/etc), how much you'll need to spend per month while studying, and how you intend to use the money in your account to cover your expenses in their country through the 1 year period.

The Embassy never said you must have a third-party sponsor before you can get an education in their country. Of course, they know that some people can afford to send themselves to school.

In my opinion, it's just about being honest with the Embassy on the details of how much you have and how you'd cover your cost - Visa decisions are made on a case-by-case basis, not one-size-fits-all.

Lastly, your own money can only be spent by you; money owned by someone else (a sponsor) can't be 100% guaranteed to be spent on you, since the sponsor may need to use their money at any time for some personal/emergency reasons - you can't stop them.

If you honestly represent and accurately prove to the Embassy that you really own the funds and it's sufficient for your expected cost of living in their country (including emergencies), I think you'd have met their requirements on proof of funds.

For those who want to apply for work visa. The portal is currently open for bookings

Hi,

Thank you for the update. Do you mean Work Visa applicants could book a date directly like the Student Visa applicants, instead of joining the weekly draw?

I've been in the weekly draw system for some weeks now and would like to know if you meant to say that the portal was open for booking dates directly or joining the draw process.

Thanks.

I did mine, the list had about 10 names of people to be interviewed on the day.
Only 2 + me = 3 showed up

[It’s possible that the validity of the documents entitling some of the absentees to come to the embassy has already expired or something else I can’t explain but I’d love to know]

My time was 10:30am
5 others were slated for earlier (8am-ish) but only 2 showed up and they had both left before I came.
I suspect this was the case because on the list only those 2 were marked present and their details filled, out of all the people whose time was earlier than mine but everyone else was left blank even though their time had passed.

It was minutes past 9am and I was called in, I was shocked I had assumed I’d have some time to relax and collect my thoughts, I also erroneously assumed the crowd outside were all for visa interview. Only to find out I was the only one present for the interview.

They brought a list and asked of my name and time. I pointed it out to the guy: I was number 5 or 6 on the list.
One Naija security instructed another: “Tell them someone is here for 10:30am”
The white security: “Ok let him in, tell him to come”

It was all good, I entered; I had no chance to explain myself just quick fire questions about 10 questions and that was it. I answered everything to the best of my ability.

The lady went through my documents returned one original, she was pissed I stapled my passport photograph “did you get that information from the gate?” She yelled.
I replied “I did that long before I arrived abuja, I’m the only one for interview at the gate and the form said…” she wasn’t interested in my explanation she proceeded without letting me finish.

The thing pain me small because I felt I hadn’t said the most important thing I wanted to say but I kept it in. played it off.

I was going to say the form CLEARLY states ‘Passport’ with a rectangle for passport and the list clearly states colored 35*45 passport photograph with white background so it was only logical that I or someone else would place the passport on the area designated for passport. You can’t tell me in all the years that embassy has been there I am the first or only person to have placed a passport on the place marked Passport.

This wasn’t some cheat, hack or expo, or even something I thought would be of any real importance. The date of arrival I had thought would be off more importance was scuffed aside like it was nothing. She gave me the document to change something and sign. Write something else and sign.

So that passport Thing was the only notable stormy water or rough play incident, she took off the passport photo and gave it back to me and stapled the second passport to the form

She had succeeded in destabilizing my train of thought, I had to slow down and started repeating my answers twice, and more slowly. I felt she may have assumed someone coached me at the gate and maybe I crammed the answers, since I may have been giving all the answers they wanted to hear.

By 10:08 I was out already. Still no one else came for the interview till my ride arrived and I left at almost 10:20, you’d think anyone scheduled for 10:30 would be at the venue at 10:20 latest.

There were a lot of people present when I arrived earlier but most of them were there to complain and non of them was allowed in for various reasons ranging from no appointment date yet to late arrival and more.

But the number of people there to complain scared me. All the seats were taken some had to stand.

By the time I came out every one of them had left or were leaving out of frustration except one guy who was sitting, [another cause for concern especially for someone such as myself who needs to take a flight to abuja and book a hotel to do anything at the embassy].

All in all I felt it was too easy and I don’t like when things like these are too easy because it’s a little nerve wrecking it feels like a set up, maybe it’s PTSD from my days in University where certain lecturers would give us questions like “what is law” “give 10 definitions of law as test questions for 10 marks” and at the end of the day the whole class would fail because it was a trap or only meant to prove something to us and make us buy a handout. Especially when you know the lecturer has been placing emphasis on names of those who bought the handout and saying things like “you can’t pass this course without this book”, away from my PTSD of easy questions.

To me it seemed easy because I love politics, government, history, general knowledge, geography (I hated geography in school because of the teacher tho) and all that stuff so nothing was challenging to me. As I was answering them I said to myself are you sure this woman will not say I got all these answers from the gate too if she said that about fixing passport photograph to a place designated “passport”. This lady may be paranoid oh or it is just tactics to through me off. Because everything else up until then was 100% smooth.

But then I saw maths and my heart sank, alarm started blowing in my brain I had to calm myself down took 3 deep breathes solved the first and 3rd they were very easy (they had the least number of signs) but the middle one was more technical with plenty signs (x/and divide) so I needed one extra breathe it was also doable and I submitted

Now we await the outcome.

You know how something to you is such a big deal, you’ve spent months or even years gathering and preparing but to the people in charge or on lookers, the guys who determine your fate you’re just another statistic, just another days job, I mean to you it’s months or years of work and preparation to them it’s just another 10-15 minutes in the office LOL that’s the reality of things like these.
Or another more gruesome example is how to the mortuary attendant it’s just another dead body but to someone else it’s a loved one with many shared experiences, dreams, hopes, aspirations etc. etc,

That’s why I hate when things like these are too easy and the indifference is to the max, although it’s better than certain other outcomes. So we take solace in that.

For those who have been lucky and filled with grace to get to this point, my wish for us all is that same grace and luck continues to carry us till the very end. -BB wink
