Peter Obi should have thought properly before joining the coalition, knowing it was going to be money politics during the primaries. There are many money bags who are going to compromise and frustrate the primary election. Peter Obi will likely be schemed out. If that happens, where will be his next destination. If he jumps from the coalition to another party, his being labelled desperate will gain more traction.

Atiku is not ready to sacrifice his political ambitions for a better Nigeria. Even he loses in 2027, he will still contest in 2031, despite his old age.

I always like the way you like deceiving yourself. You did more than this in 2023, but ended up in severe pain for obidients. Why not just wait for Obi to get the presidential ticket first from ADC? The ticket is for Atiku or Amechi. Even if Obi gets the ticket, he will not get some of many of them. After primary, se of them will return to their backup parties or APC. You people no dey learn? Did you learn anything from 2023 at all? Are you still using your best Biafran lawyers to defend ADC and Obi in case. ADC will begin to have internal issues that Obi will not be able to resolve one soon.

He suppose to learn conflict resolution from Tinubu first before talking about going coalition because the problem there will be more than that of labour party crisis. Obi himself knows he might not get the presidential ticket, that is why he quickly submitted one long letter of only one term proposal so that he can use as a negotiation base or reason to leave later.

Ok, keep doing your nzogbu, nzogbu politics. It happens every four four years

My advice to the coalition

One show respect to the igbos, go to Enugu call traditional n religious leaders, tell them the truth... Yes by fairness n equity presidency should go to South East... But the situation now would make that difficult.... Tell them to accept Vice for 4 years after which the president would come to South East .... Once that's done

Go to middle belt, promise them their interest are fears are well know and assure of protection

With the above two the foundation is strong

This referred to the civil war in Nigeria that ended 50 years ago this month. It stemmed from the decision of the people of the eastern region of that already riot-racked country to strike for independence as the Republic of Biafra. As I learned when I got there as a BBC correspondent, the Biafrans, mostly of the Igbo people, had their reasons.

The federal government in Lagos was a brutal military dictatorship that came to power in 1966 in a bloodbath. During and following that coup, the northern and western regions were swept by a pogrom in which thousands of resident Igbo were slaughtered. The federal government lifted not a finger to help. It was led by an affable British-educated colonel, Yakubu Gowon. But he was a puppet. The true rulers were a group of northern Nigerian colonels. The crisis deepened, and in early 1967 eastern Nigeria, harbouring about 1.8 million refugees, sought restitution. A British-organised conference was held in Ghana and a concordat agreed. But Gowon, returning home, was flatly contradicted by the colonels, who tore up his terms and reneged on the lot. In April the Eastern Region formally seceded and on 7 July, the federal government declared war.

Biafra was led by the Eastern Region’s Oxford-educated former military governor, “Emeka” Ojukwu. London, ignoring all evidence that it was Lagos that reneged on the deal, denounced the secession, made no attempt to mediate and declared total support for Nigeria.
