Foreign AffairsRe: Iran Leadership Vows Retaliation Over US Attack On Nuclear sites, Trump Reacts by creativejagaban: 10:23am On Jun 22, 2025
icedfire:
Let’s get some facts in order, because emotions are running high and misinformation is everywhere

Claim 1: “Israel attacked Iran first, and Iran is a sovereign nation.”

This argument keeps popping up, but it ignores years and decades of provocation and aggression from Iran.

Rebuttal:
Iran has been attacking Israel for years indirectly by funding, arming, and commanding proxies like Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Shia militias in Iraq and Syria. These groups have been consistently launching rockets and bombs into Israeli territory. This isn’t hearsay — this is confirmed by global intelligence agencies and even openly admitted by Iran’s own leadership.

On October 7, Hamas launched a brutal and unprecedented terror attack on Israel — killing civilians, taking hostages, and sparking the current escalation. That attack was the first shot in this round of war, not anything Israel did to Iran directly.

Yes, Israel is now responding — as any nation would. And they’re doing it strategically, going after each proxy one by one — Hamas, then other militias, and now possibly turning their attention to Iran itself, the source of it all.

Even Hezbollah — Iran’s top ally — is now publicly saying they won’t join the war if Iran is directly attacked. That tells you everything. Iran is mostly alone, because even its so-called allies know how reckless this has become.

Claim 2: “If Israel and the U.S. have nuclear weapons, why can’t Iran have nukes too?”

On the surface, this might sound like a fair question but look deeper.

Rebuttal:
There’s a massive difference between who holds nuclear weapons and how they intend to use them.

In Iran, every parliamentary session ends with chants of “Death to Israel, Death to America.” This isn’t symbolic. Iran backs it up with real-world violence through its proxies. They’ve made their intentions crystal clear — they want to wipe Israel off the map. So why should a nation with that mindset be allowed to have nuclear weapons?

Think of it like this: it’s okay for a police officer to carry a gun, because his job is to protect people. But should we hand a gun to an armed robber who already told us he plans to shoot someone? That’s exactly what giving Iran nukes would look like.

The U.S. and Israel having nukes doesn’t mean everyone should. There’s a difference between deterrence and destruction. Iran isn’t seeking peace. They are seeking power to enforce their ideology through violence.

Iran is too small for Isreal to destroy. Imagine , if Isreal was to do the same thing Iran is doing ? Isreal and now Us are the only country that would announce an impending attack to you civilians to move , hence targeting only military installations but Iran doesn’t give no eff about civilians . They delight in blowing up hospitals. Please if you want to Arthur , argue with logic and not emotions or your religious affiliations or sentiments . Ire o

PoliticsRe: VAT: What States Generated And What They Received In Q1, 2025 by creativejagaban: 6:32am On Jun 18, 2025
DesChyko:
VATs are paid by the headquarters of the business, not necessarily the field of their business or where the highest consumption is recorded. That not withstanding, VAT is borne by the final consumer.

Take for example, Milk and Egg products. Most of the headquarters of these companies are in Lagos (possibly Ogun too), but the highest VATs on them are actually paid by the South Easterners who consume more of this, closely followed by South-South. However, the VATs remitted to the Nigerian purse through their headquarters in Lagos.

So while it counts as VAT remitted by Lagos, it was actually paid by other regions. This explains a bit of why Lagos (and possibly Ogun) have VATs that dwarves the remaining states. Another advantage would be states with high oil and gas sector activities, and government presence too.

Does that do a bit of justice?
See warped excuse.

Na easterners chop egg most grin grin

Why not go chop the eggs for the 5pl.ot grin grin

PoliticsRe: Stop Disrespecting Tinubu - Maharaj Ji Warns Hakeem Baba Ahmed by creativejagaban: 6:46am On Jun 17, 2025
SmartPolician:
The ideological gap between Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria is so wide like trekking from Abuja to Lagos. Most times, I wonder what a president from the South can do to please those Northern folks because the two regions don't even share anything in common.
Everyone knows that the south east do not have any say in the equation.

The equation is:

Y = 7a^3 + 6b^3+6c^4+6d^3+6e^4+5g

Where:

Y=The probability of becoming president
a=North West population with 7 states
b=North East population with 6 states
c=North Central population with 6 states
d=South South population with 6 states
e=South West population with 6 states
f=South East population with 5 states shocked
g=Political sagacity

From the equation above, f is irrelevant as it is not included in the equation.

There is no Yoruba man who supported Igbos with the Biafran mentality and didn't come back crying. None.

Fajuyi laid down his life for his Igbo guest, Igbos said who asked him to.

Banjo led the ONLY Biafran offensive during the war. He was executed by Biafrans while Ojukwu was allowed to flee.

Soyinka was jailed for supporting Biafra while Achebe was busy nacking college girls in America. Achebe's kinsmen are insulting Soyinka today.

Seun supported Gbadebo and Obi last election. Till today, Obidients are desperately trying to bring him down.

Any Yoruba that supports Obi and Obidients at this point, you are basically suicidal.
Imagine Soyinka (GCON) was jailed for Biafra...whereas Achebe was no where to be found during those days.

Achebe, who cannot untie Soyinka's shoes is today being godified by the i.pob.

The noble Laurette, GCON, Professor Emeritus, is widely recognized all over the world, to the extent that many countries celebrated his 90th birthday more than Nigeria.
