tunapawizzy: Nwosu said his part of the story while he was alive, IBB did not debunk, he did not write a book. Nwosu dies, IBB finds his writing pen. Why is IBB always waiting for people to die to put blames on them. Nigeria is so unfortunate, imagine being ruled for 8years by a man that cannot take responsibility for his own actions. As if its not weak enough to pass the blame to others when the buck stops at your desk, he is even So weak he cant blame his subbordinates while they are alive, he will always wait for them to die, then he will have some blames apportioned to them. Hopefully David Mark will not die before him, else he will have a story to tell about the role David Mark played.
For 31 years this man IBB maintained that he annulled the election because of the intelligent report he received, pointing in the direction of an annullment being the only way to avert bloodshed and keep the nation together, suddenly 2025 is here and he has a new story to tell. I'd be careful believing a man who will not blame people when they are alive, he only remembers to talk after they are dead IBB is still alive. Go and ask him. What concerns Yoruba about that. The fact remains that nwosu is a dishonorable outcast and a coward. Simple. I.pob should immortalize him in their backyard. When okoawusa was erecting statues up and down, why e no do one for coward nwosu |

Shawarmagirl: “After the end of Babangida’s tenure, the death of Abiola, and the birth of the new democracy that produced President Obasanjo, I would have expected Nwosu to say—either on his birthday or on a special occasion—‘I couldn’t declare these numbers then, but now, on my record, Abiola won this election. I just wasn’t able to announce it,’” he said.
I hope also Prof. Mega will be bold enough to set the record straight and tell Nigerians the real winner of 2023 general election before he died? Ok |

I support that a minute silence should suffice. A minute silence is too much for him joor |

Asonaijaaso: Humphrey Nwosu is No Hero – Let’s Be Honest
Honoring Humphrey Nwosu in the same breath as MKO Abiola is an insult to history.
After Abacha died, MKO Abiola died—a clear signal that forces beyond Nwosu were at play. But in moments where great men stand up to cement their legacy, Nwosu remained silent.
He had one duty: affirm that MKO won fair and square. He didn’t.
Why? • Fear of IBB? Maybe. • Pressure from the military? Likely. • But history only remembers the bold, not the cautious.
Compare Him to True Heroes
Today, we have INEC commissioners risking their lives to declare results under threats, some even at gunpoint, yet standing firm. • Some have lost their lives for announcing the rightful winners. • Nwosu had none of that courage.
Senator Abaribe’s Calls for Immortalization? Nothing to See Here.
He was just a civil servant. He did his job—but nothing extra. • He didn’t fight for justice. • He didn’t push against the annulment. • He didn’t defend the mandate of the people.
Greatness is defined by what you do when it matters most.
Humphrey Nwosu is no hero. He was just a bureaucrat who stayed within the lines. daniwise: Mention one iINEC commissioner I will mention two: 1. Alhaji Abdullahi Minkaila: Serving as the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Kano State, Minkaila tragically died along with his wife and two daughters in a fire at his residence shortly after the 2015 presidential elections. 2. Ms. Ibisaki Amachree: An INEC official who was killed by a stray bullet during the 2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections in Rivers State So who deserves the immortalization: Coward nwosu or the inec commissioners |

MightySparrow: He would not have done that under the despot called Babangida. That man and his group were intoxicated by power and very wicked in their days.
Even this Oshiomole was said to have criticized Obasanjo in the morning during his time as NLC leader on a particular day, in the evening of same day Murray Ben Bruce visited Obasanjo and met the two of the drinking and laughing together. He is now a saint. Naigiriya!!!! That does not warrant nwosu being honored. What is the yardstick |

Penguin2: Imagine these fools
Because he’s an Igbo man.
Did Murtala Mohammed speak up before an International Airport in Lagos was named after him?
Did Awolowo speak from his grave before they name Abuja national stadium after him?
Did Dr Adedevoh speak up to be immortalized after her role in curtailing Ebola?
Did Nnamdi Azikiwe speak up before the International Airport in Abuja was named after him?
So, you see their logic is flawed.
It is not the beneficiary of immortalization that speaks up. It is the living or those who have seen the distinguishable acts of the individual that always decide to so honour the person.
Everyone talks about how free, fair and credible the 1993 elections was despite the challenges and pressure to do otherwise.
When all men of good conscience keep sentiments aside, they will agree that Humphrey Nwosu deserves to be immortalized.
Especially when you realize that 30 years after him, we have charlatans who can’t conduct a credible House of Rep election heading INEC. Muritala was a former president. So by default he was honored. Everyone knows Awolowo's contributions: the best premier in the history of the country. The first TV station in Africa (even before France could have a national TV station) was done by him. The first stadium, the first tallest building in Africa, the first implementation of free education, the one who gave us the name Naira, the best president we never had. Dr Adedevoh laid her down for you to prevent your ungrateful generation of I.pobs from contacting ebola. Azikiwe though honored , did not even deserve it. Or try and name one contribution of Azikiwe to the country, I wan hear So tell me how you can even ask that coward nwosu be immortalized, you dey craze |

zero8zero: Abiola was already winning from the results so far announced, 19 out of 30 states. Before Nwozu stopped further announcement of the results. The rest of the results was leaked. Humfrey Nwozu stopped announcing the results and IBB would later annull the election entirely. Nwosu that should be sent to the most notorious jail for stopping the announcement of the results. Imagine the gut. Immortalize ko, immobilize ni |

Trying to turn history on its head to paint Nwosu as a hero should be gazette as the peak fooling of year 2025. Leave the nzogbu nzogbu tribe to wallow in their foolishness. Imagine asking to immortalize a coward.... Even ordinary sowore faced the military... This nwozu na confirm i.pob coward. We have heros of democracy like Abraham Adesanya et al. Racoon: The sacrifice this man made to ensure the emergence of the late MKO Abiola as president-elect should have been the fulcrum of the June-12 1993 presidential election and the attendant crisis the annoying annulment triggered.
However, he is not regarded or recognised. All is simply because the late Prof. Humphrey Nwosu doesnt belong to the caste system within their warped prismatic worldview. Let see them honour Mahmud Yakubu then. Olodo... Mention one sacrifice not two.... This one will just open mouth dey talk. Who is nwosu His cowardly act caused the attendant crisis post June 12. Or what are you saying...or dem never born you that time. Nwosu was the worst coward any country can have. That was why he was never talked about since. |
