Hi International students, as you are preparing to come to Estonia please be aware of recent changes in legislation.

The two most prominent changes are: Students can only work 20 hours a week. Students can no longer bring their families to Estonia anymore. For those paying school fees, before you come, make sure that the return on investment is worth it.

Hi Guys,

How is everyone here? I know that some of you would have gotten your admission letters by now. Congratulations! For this set of people, i cannot emphasize how important it is for you to get your visa early especially with this COVID 19 lock down. you need to be strategic with your point of entry.
On this note, i would discuss different routes with you (Disclaimer; This is my personal opinion).

Egypt: In my opinion this is the easiest route, especially if you have a good travel history. The only thing here is to apply early because it takes time to process the Visa. This was the route i used.

Israel; Not sure of this route, although Godswill Nkwusi usually arranges this travel package for incoming students. A bit expensive in my opinion.

Turkey: A good route. Make sure you book an appointment early. If you are currently working for a company, you could arrange with your office to give you a letter stating that you are an employee and would like to go on vacation. Apply for a tourist visa.

London: Not worth it. Very difficult especially if you have a VIRGIN passport.

India: Am not sure they are giving tourist visa to Nigerians. Although i have a friend who applied to an Indian school, got a study visa without paying school fees, landed in India and applied for d visa at the Estonian embassy.

Dubai: There are claims about this route but i dont know anyone that has used it.

Ukraine: A friend tried this route and was deported back to Nigeria. He was not allowed to enter Ukraine.

People have asked me about the schegen route. Its not easy. Getting a schegen visa from Nigeria is not the easiest thing. I honestly do not advise it because you would end up wasting money.

I hope this helps.

Hi Guys,

I must confess, this page has been so helpful. I have been a silent follower of this page and would like to make some clarifications. My sister applied for EE. she has two years experience and used one year NYSC experience in my family's company to make her work experience three years. However, she did not state that it was NYSC and she did not even do the NYSC in our family's company. She just used this to make up for her three years experience.

Is this a problem? Like would they know that she did not do NYSC in the company?

Hello Guys, please i need your help. I worked as an Auditor for one year with a big four firm. Can i use NOC 1111 for financial auditors and accountants as i am not Chatered.

Am confused because it says auditors require education, training and recognition as indicated for Chatered Professional accountants. What does this mean? Does anyone know someone who used this NOC without being Chatered.

I agree, for you to get Egypt visa in four days, it means u have either UK,US or canadian visa or you applied with your parents who have either of the above mentioned country visa. My mum got her visa in four days. I got my visa in four days with a virgin passport because i applied with my mum who has UK visa. For virgin passport its a bit tricky, they hardly give visas except you have a trusted agent. Even with that it takes approximately three to four weeks to get the visa. My agent processed for three pple with virgin passport and they got their visas within three weeks

Please I need accurate info because you know a lot depends on this..... Did you see or you heard some people were turned back?? Please enlighten me more, I have videos of people who entered Ukraine last year for studies.. I have friends who are schooling there.. How come they are not being thrown back?

The guy who wants to use Ukraine, please dont. Last year a close friend of mine got an Ukrainian visa and travelled. Can you believe he was deported from the airport. They sent him back telling him they dont want Nigerians in their country. When he came back he was not himself because they put him in a cell and all. Please if you know what is good for you avoid Ukraine and UK. Complete waste of time and Money. Use Israel route, the guy who organised it last year was Godswill, but you would have to go in a group. You can alos use Turkish but make sure you book your appointment early.

Hi Guys,

I came to Tallinn September last year and i went through a lot to get here. I cant believe i made it here. Am going to share few tips with you on what i wished someone told me before i came. This is my personal opinon

Admission
Ensure you apply for admission early because most time its given on first come, first serve basis.
Strive to get a tuition waiver. if you cant get one, then its fine. Just ensure you bring enough money to cover at least one year tuition.
Apply for scholarships, this will help you a lot prior to finding a job.
Do your IELTS/TOEFL test early.

This is actually the easy part, now the hard part

After Getting Admission
Once you get your admission decision, ensure you apply for visa early like in April. Turkey, Russia, Israel and Egypt are your best routes. Dont waste your money on UK.
For Israel route, contact Godswill Nkwusi. He was the one that helped them last year.
Try to form a whats app group, this will help a lot especially with information.
Apply for hostel very early. Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 is really nice but for those looking for affordable accommodation Akadeemia tee 5 and 11 is great.
Buy health insurance preferably Swiss as the other option (ERGO) is more expensive, if you are on a budget you can pay quarterly.
Do not carry any form of medicine or contraband into the airport because as a Nigerian, you will be subjected to an embarrassing form of baggage search.
Dress decently to the airport, the more professional you look, the less scrutinised you are.
Turkish airline is the best you can use from Nigeria to Transit destination to Estonia. This is because when you get to Istanbul, you will not be searched again as against when you enter Schegen zone.
Book an appointment with the Estonian embassy on time.
Do not exceed your visa stay as you will pay a penalty on point of departure.
Book an airbnb accommodation i.e you can book a three bedroom flat and three people can share the cost. Be careful and try not to stay with strangers all in the name of cutting cost. Most Nigerian guys do a lot of dubious stuff in these countries so be careful.
When going to the Estonian embassy, please have all the required documents, print and fill your form correctly. It makes life easier for you trust me.
For those without scholarship, ensure you have a sponsor's letter or an account with enough money in it.
The fear of Euro academy is the beginning of wisdom. It is so unpredictable and they have this constant battle with the government so please be careful.
Please if you are coming to Estonia with the intention of hustling and running away from school (especially euroacademia students), dont bother coming, so you dont create bad name for us.
Bring your laptop and buy your phone in Nigeria as these things are expensive here.
Ensure you bring enough money for your living expenses (1000 euros). TRP takes time to come out and you cant get a job without your TRP.
Dont waste your time packing clothes because you may not use it. Just pack sneakers, sweaters, hoodies and winter jackets for the cold.
For those using Egypt and turkey, be very careful because i assure you, you will be ripped off (moneywise) especially cab men
Estonian food suck, so make sure you bring some naija foodstuffs from home especially milk, palmoil, crayfish e.t.c

Lastly, ensure you read this page from the beginning as it would help you a lot.

If i remember any more tips, i would post. Pardon the English as it was written in a hurry.

Because he has a valid original tourist visa, does not grant him automatic entry in Kiev.

Entry is at the discretion of the entry officer...... Does he have a video recording of the incident? [/quote

Do you think that he has the luxury of recording with his phone. The sad thing is that this is happeninng to many nigerians at almost all airport. Something needs to be done about this

Will you keep quiet. What you don't know is bigger than you. Getting tourist visa to another country that has estonia Embassy is the sure way to get to Estonia for study.

Op, abeg how did your friend get his tourist visa?

He applied to the useless ukraine embassy. After 15 days they called him and gave him visa. When he got to the airport, they said they dont want nigerians in their country. Even those that went with study visa had to wait 5 hours before they allowed them enter.

It just seems like a long-winded process going all the way to Ukraine to get a visa to Estonia. Surely, Estonia has an embassy somewhere in Africa. However, Estonia is a part of the schengen area, so your 'friend' can apply via any schengen country embassy in Nigeria.

Its not that easy. Schengen rules dont work that way

Tell your friend to tell the truth, all visas has conditions attached to them. He must have violated his visa condition, or Na fake visa in the first place. Tourist visa, what is the duration on it?

He did not violate any condition, he was going to estonia for studies and needed to go to ukraine so as to visit the estonian embassy in ukraine

So my friend travelled with a valid tourist visa to kiev in ukraine and the border police deported him for no other reason than the fact that they hate Nigerians. What kind of thing is this.

Op: please put this on front page
