Not so sound like i know anything about English so i will rather ask you because i notice you prefer to use "owning" in all you post when you want to refer to a driver "owing" you. is this deliberate or there is something right about it i am yet to learn. Thank you

slamstanlee: My CRAZIEST taxify experience.... Picked 2 talkative girls at Radio Nigeria ikoyi, Destination: platinum way lekki. One has 1% battery life, the other has 3%... They asked for my usb cord to charge... I said to them i can spare just one cord, as my phone was on 20% too. The one with 1% battery said she needed it more cos she would transfer my payment at the end of the trip. The other one cried; no dont worry, dont just press ur phone. I need to chat with this guy, he promised to be giving me alerts but its not regular bla bla bla... I need to plug it while i chat....
They argued. They agreed. The one with 3% got the cord, sat at the front, the other one layed down flat at the back seat and dozed off.... Oh no! This one was receiving calls, bragging about hair price, last alert and next club night. Ok We got to platinum way, the moment we entered the hotel gate, a request came in. Next rider was in the same hotel. Cool Next rider called. "i am at the hotel car park now, u can start coming down" i replied.
Now i ended the current trip, fare was 2300. We should be done before next rider gets here... For where? Na there wahala start. The girl wit 1% battery woke up, picked up her phone to do the transfer: phone has died oo! Quarrel start: "i told u i needed to charge this phone... U see now, how are we gonna do it".... "U should have asked for the charger on the way but u were sleeping all through".. Bla bla bla
Me: ok, let plug ur phone so it will come up.( A healthy phone should be up in 2 mins max) Phone wouldn't come up.... We waited 2 mins, 3mins 5mins. (this must be the kind of phone u will plug and forget it there when it dies; i thought) Meanwhile the one at the front asked for my acc details and transfered 300. Remaining 2k now. Phone still wouldn't come up
7th minutes! i raised my head, at the other side; a dark slim beautiful chick was standing there. Flat tommy(exposed). Her belly button was on same level with my eyes... I stared for like 5 secs before i realized she was the next rider. The look on her face: what's happening? Two girls in her taxify already. Huh!
I quickly got out, explained the situation to her and asked her to give us 2 minutes. She agreed. Got in the car and asked them; is the phone up? For where....
Ok, i have another rider and that's her waiting. You guys should pay me quickly, cash or so... "we don't have cash oga" Me: ok, ur own phone is on, u already transferred 300 to me, would u transfer the 2k remaining then she settles u when her phone comes up? "oga i don't have up to 2k in the acc" chai Me: so what do we do? Me rider is waiting... "oga lets go to the nearest atm and withdraw cash" Me: i can't leave my next rider here "ok ask her to go with us so u continue with her from there" 2 minutes gone
I rushed out again, told her the idea. She agreed. And so i wont start the trip yet. 4 of us in the car now. Nearest ATM was 300m. Oh cool. like 10 guys on the queue. Two machines dispensing. This will be fast i thought.
Both girls ran out leaving their bags to join the queue. At this point, they were so uncomfortable and ashamed. While we wait.... The beautiful rider said to me: i wonder why 2 big girls will go out without having cash. We chat. Laughed. Waited
5mins. 7mins. Queue was slow. Guys doing multiple withdrawals. In my mind i estimated 15 to 20min before their turn. Rider: oh no! I can't wait anymore, please call them. They shuld com pick their bags i will pay the 2k. Me: these girls might feel embarrassed and disagree o. Rider: lets try One of them was like: are you sure? U really want to pay the fare? With more shame in their eyes. They picked their stuffs, looking cheap and ordinary this time around. And left without a thank you....
Destination; VGC then computer village ikeja Fare; 5100 Rider: here is 7000. Wont u dash me the 100? i don't have change. Me; sure no problems
(this happened last Friday, i have been typing it in bits to give una full gist)
Enjoy the rest of the week... Totally worth the wait 2 Likes |

My love for you is growing. Let's give drivers the chance to be slaving for banks @ single digits interest too. That's if they can turely get it. Partners are benefiting from bank loan already.
You do realise that figure will be swallowed by inflation next to no time. The maths don't work but at least it gives some poor soul hope. |

If what you mean is a thread for defaulting drivers, I think It's a really good idea, just create a thread for that. I think the thread will grow itself. However doing due diligence in the first place before hiring a driver still works well, because not all defaulting drivers will make it into the defaulters thread. When a driver defaults on me, here is what I do. I make time every week to add them back to my dashboard, so that they won't enjoy driving for their new partner till they settle with me. Even though it's medicine after death. It works in ensuring I get my dues when push comes to shove. I make sure to give them advance warning that should they default, they won't be able to drive on the platform in peace, lest I appear unfair when I start to get my pound of flesh back. Consider me enlightened 2 Likes |

jixasi: Good day guys...
i will be writing this article in my own words raw from my researched books.
Am in love with Transportation business so much that have tried all kinds of transport Business that is accessible (e.g) just road lol, yeah have done different road transport; cars: uber, bus: danfo, trucks :carrying load from mile 12 to ajah, space bus (sienna my favorite) for travelling from Lagos to Ibadan, Lagos to Koji (ankpa) NIGERIA TO ACCRA/IVORY COAST...
Yes i said Sienna is my favorite, most people would choose Uber cause its internal and you are not going too far from life/family so its better, low risk and all... But i will say Big lie you drive round the state (Lagos or Abuja) for hours everyday manage to make 100k - 120k per week fix ware and tears, recharge for data and voice calls, buy drugs, feed and give your family, parents, siblings or even girlfriend money how much go remain? fear all passengers cause you dont know who is thief or a killer, even as the car owner you suffer from lazy, troublesome and complaining drivers... some times i don't even blame this drivers cause they have target; and conditions on the road (bad road, traffic) or UBER and Taxify wahala may even make them not meet the target so they are left with no choice but to complain.. and as a car owner you take 25- 40k per week... remember car servicing and other expenses... so cause of all these and more i say no to UBER,TAXIFY and co i choose SIENNA...
Sienna is my best bet.... mind you ( i mean sienna on the ECOWAS corridors) some people do Sienna around inter state have done it before.... omo mehn naija roads are too bad. travelling around the ECOWAS corridors back in 2009 - 2013 was a lil bit difficult reasons are cause some countries like Benin and Togo were doing serious road construction so it was a pain in the ass accessing those routes... also conversion rate was low so the fares was really cheap.
now its way better cause the roads have been completed the exchange rate is high now so the fares are up too and this countries are becoming popular to traders, Students and tourist so you get enough passengers and make good money that is if you are not too greedy...
moving on i choose to use sienna on this route cause i get 7 passengers paying me 16k each. Minus fuel and boarder clearance i can do my weekly remittance after 2 trips with no wahala.. i mean travel to Ghana 2wice a week i have 5days to rest, Nigeria to Ghana is like 8-9hrs. No UBER commission wahala, No Ago palace bad road destroying your exhaust pipe no driving midnight and sleeping on steering cause you want to meet a target... no ye ye complains cause Tuesday reach and you no meetup...
As car owner u can request for up to 50k per week or 200k per month
Am not saying there is no risk but am saying your ROI is on point.
some people are scared about 1. ahh my car will be going out of Nigeria how am i sure if the driver will return it for me or just go without coming back.. 2. Ahhh Acident nkor if it happens outside Nigeria. 3. what if costom in other country arrest it for contraban 4. how do i comfirm where the car is etc
when people ask me these questions i feel like shocked seriously are you for real? what in this life happen to Insurance? do you know insurance companies like Zenith insurance and even Mansard can track your car even outside naija? as long as u are safe to put your car on uber and give it to a driver that can even travel to ibadan offline with out your notice, the same for this driver that travels to Ghana.... you are 100% guaranteed.....
like a very good internet marketer will say and i quote ITS RISKY TO BE RICH AND ITS RISKY TO BE POOR SO CHOOSE YOUR RISKevery businesses has their own risk i will say if this risk is bringing in more ROI take it.
am open for questions and insight on this business if you want me to handle a car for you hit me up... i have a business plan written down already i can send it to you if you need it.
thanks expecting to hear from you. 08166591374 Someone else wrote stuff like this not so long ago promising all sorts... His vehicle of choice then was Peugeot, it didn't work out for a lot of people that listened to him. If it works for you fine however, this thread is for Uber/ Taxify E hailing. 5 Likes |

This decision is more of a VALUE based approach - it is easier and faster selling off a 2003-2005 car at second value than a 2000-2001
It is also a STRATEGIC based approach - what if app company decide to start again from 2003
It is also a maintenance based approach when u speak on brand - easier to get Mech for other popular brands
So if I had known what I know now - my decision making process would have been more profitable with more cars onboard

Carshopper: If I had known den what I know now, e-hailing bizness will b sweet.
If I had known then to forgo luxury over effectiveness, low cost and increase acceptability, the grumbling will be less.
Uber arrived nigeria with option of putting ur vehicle on the road and u earn money.
If I had known, I would have just done my kia rio jejely those periods. Naira / dollar was low, so landing cost would b good.
But I took luxury into consideration and look where it found me, more grumbling about this and that.
There is the luxury side to transportation, high end Cars, high earning income and low maintenance /repairs. But I will sit down for the next few days waiting for the next new phase.
E-hailing isn't about luxury - simple put e-hailing /ride-sharing is about providing the commodity to as many as possible at the cheapest fare rate one can achieve.
When any market gets flooded with different competition, the one factor to dance around with is PRICE.
It is left to you to decide what tool is best for that PRICE available.
Will you bring a 2014 Toyota camry now to the table to hussle within available PRICE?
If you had known back then and had more knowledge, you would have spent PRICE for a 2014 Toyota camry on 3-4 PRICE for a 2007 kia rio (luxury vs low cost) while trying to achieve same goal INCOME/EARNINGS.
If I'd known then what I know now i would not have bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra for this business but also remember there were only certain cars you could use then with certain mileages. There are no regrets though, it's the cost of doing business, especially in Nigeria. |

A lot of people (at least 10) called with different stories that touch as to why they didn't have an upfront payment for the 2 Camrys I bought 4 weeks ago. Almost gave one to the guy thay posted here with plenty plenty grammar looking for HP without upfront. Decision to turn him down was because he didn't any on the job experience. Would have given one of them to him if he had actual experience driving on any of the platforms.
Right now both Camrys are gone. Took me two weeks to find the right people with upfront deposit and 1 week to close the deal with them. Both cars are now working on the platform.
I have now bought another Camry and am sure I'll find the right person before the end of March.
I wouldn't even be advertising the cars of I was willing to give them out on HP without upfront cuz there is a lot of people looking for that type of deal.
Hello do you mind sending me a copy of your HP agreement. I'm considering letting out a corolla on HP. Email address is bizzeze@gmail.com. I'll be most grateful. Thanks |
