Foreign AffairsRe: Mourners Gather For Funerals Of Children After 'at Least 12' Killed By Hezbollah by CrownedPhoenix:
These people are just gaslighting Israel and escalating situations.

Instead of Pro-palestinian observers to condemn this act and seek de-escalation, they rather make comparisons with 'afterall, Israel bombed hospitals that killed children in Gaza'

Very any-how people undecided
PoliticsRe: 'Warn your children against protest': Tinubu's daughter begs Lagos market women by CrownedPhoenix:
Is she is assuming the market women are not hungry themselves?

What if it's the market women themselves that will take to the streets to protest?

The Ugandans know the kind of president they have, why daring him?
The way you talk is a pointer to what you are in real life.

I can hazard a guess that your fellow APC supporters here are very suspicious of you and cannot trust you.

Lokpobiri is meditating a fight between Farouk Ahmed, Kyari, Dangote.

South South resolving a fight between Northerners.

If you ever wondered at those behind all the petroleum woes in this country, the present situation is a pointer.
PoliticsRe: Anti-Government Protest: Threats Won’t Work – Femi Falana Tells FG by CrownedPhoenix: 8:10am On Jul 24, 2024
The government seems to be actively using the media to try to discourage people.

Threats of arrests aand arrests, gospel ministers this, gumi that.

Is it gumi or pastors that go to the market on behalf of Nigerians?

Let Nigerians protest peacefully.

Interestingly, attempt to quell it might escalate it into undesired and avoidable riot.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s House Of Reps Orders Dangote, NMDPRA, Others To Stop Media Attacks by CrownedPhoenix: 4:44pm On Jul 22, 2024
I don't know what to make of Dangote in this matter but from the times past when there was news all over the place of doctorate degree holders (and I think maybe even professors??) applying to be Dangote truck drivers I began to really suspect him as a conning guy that comes off as quiet and honest. Man was busy cashing in on international loans undecided

FoodRe: Where Did Yam Go? by CrownedPhoenix: 7:45pm On Jul 19, 2024
Pastoshizzy:
I remember the good times in this country. Days of kobo (coins). Even as a Lagosian there was no time of the year we didn't eat my family's favourite food- Yam.
If my mum buys yam, the amount she cooks and the way it is cooked would give me a foresight if we were going to eat it with fried eggs, fish sauce, butter or (when prayer don answer) pounded yam. The way we were brought up, you aren't meant to ask your mum what she's going to cook... especially if we have a case we are being reprimanded for (a family of four boys, so we get a lot of those).

My wife knows say I no dey mess with my stomach.
Yam…the very food. In the least, Yam and palm oil with salt to taste are happily wedded in an African stomach. I speak for the majority.
We dey chop! But not like before. Things don cost.
But Yam. Where Yam dey abeg?… to cut this torey short. Where are all my 'aboki' yam sellers? I leave work go market and what I saw was an apology for yam’ sake. Warris happening?

Nairalanders. Where I fit get YAM cheap and plenty too. I fit change my career to selling of YAM.

Make una show me front page. For YAM’ sake.
Then you'd have known that once yam is harvested during the harvest season, they are stored in barns for sale till the next season.

It is while in storage some seem to dry up and harden a bit.

Good thing is, it's about this time of the year, the early planters will be harvesting.

There should be yam by August.

Blessed Nigerian from the tribe of Yoruba kingdom, this is the reason I won't malign all yorubas for the foolishness of 40% of the them, of which 30% of the 40% are ignorant idiotic muslims and 7% are confused and not aligned to any religion, and 3% are christians.
So if there are 40% Yorubas, 3% are Christians?

Are you sure you've ever visited South Western Nigeria?

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Reverses Adekanmbi’s Appointment As HYREP Coordinator, Reinstates Zabbey by CrownedPhoenix:
Truth is, the President's success is the better for the entire country, regardless tribe, religion or affiliations.

Nobody would wish the president to fail just to prove a point. Wherever level of success he achieves, a successive govt can make it better. That is progress.

That said, patriotism is to country and not any one person. Not the president.

A protest for a better country will be in order. We need policies that will make life better for everyone.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy Removal Achieved Nothing – NANS Tells Tinubu by CrownedPhoenix:

Subsidy removal and floating the Naira are the worst moves yet undecided

A lot of what we suffer now stem from those two mistakes.

PoliticsRe: First Lady Unveils Vegetable Garden At State House (Picture) by CrownedPhoenix:
I don't see any deception in this. In my view, this is a very good one.

Everything is not about politics. Some enjoy this as hobby.

If you have the smallest space to use, plant some vegetables, even tomatoes.

For some time now, I have been thinking of getting sand in sacks and planting at my balcony.

This is not about being poor/rich.

I very well know a relatively rich woman who has a small garden at the back of her house that yields yams, plantain, tomatoes and pepper with other vegetables. Even though on a small scale, it provides food for her family and I feel the joy on her face when she posts the pictures.

Apart from the farms in the bush, people in the villages have small gardens at the back of their houses for things like Ugwu, garden egg, etc.

This is really no big deal, everything is not about politics.

I will not reply silly mentions.

PoliticsRe: Remi Tinubu Donates 2,400 Bags Of Rice, Cash To Vulnerable Rivers Households by CrownedPhoenix:
High level politicking.

Hand of Esau, voice of Jacob.
Or better still, hand of Remi, voice of Wike.

Possibly a variation of the tactics used against Obi's camp.

This is an attempt to crack open your formation from the inside.

The Greek gift of friendship.

A friendly enemy comes, pallies up, seemingly sympathizes with you. Makes contact with your inner circle through associations/events like this. Which creates a backdoor/loophole in your airtight circle as contacts will be made later on with people she (Remi) met here, with funding to work against your plans from the inside. Or at the very least, leak information. Pat Utomi and Doyin Okugbe comes to mind.

In this case, they might get the wives first, work through them to their husbands and you won't even smell it that they cracked you from inside associations until after elections.

Fubara, all of these may be wrong though but start taking notes. Don't think you have friends.

This is real crazy.

Imagine selling recovered properties to themselves. Then go ahead to further share the proceeds from that same sale to themselves again!

Our special forces don't look special. They look like personal security guards.
I disagree.

Recently, I saw the Naval Police clad in the most impressive uniform I ever saw of a Nigerian military.

I was hands down impressed.

The build, uniform, guns and composure just had to be Special Forces.

The one day Nigerian Navy had me dust my hat.
PoliticsRe: Tnubu’s Interventions Fail To Tackle Nigeria’s Economic Hardship In H1 2024 by CrownedPhoenix:

PoliticsRe: Economic Revamp Without Impact - Punch Editorial by CrownedPhoenix:
About 100,000 families from each of the 36 states will get cash handouts of N50,000 for three months to help with the cost-of-living woes.
What a joke!

One of the things I hate most is the dishonest move of government giving 'palliative' to the masses.

One wonders how these policies come about though.

Out of the blues, you just decide to float the Naira as a solution to a problem the country is facing.

Then suddenly the struggling man who had $3000 equivalent in his account suddenly wakes up to realise he now has 1000. Three times poorer than he was.

Talk about making a state ungovernable. Divide and conquer.

If the Kenyan protests happened here under APC, they'd plant moles and divide them just as with EndSARS and LP.
