You are taking the dictionary definitions at face value. Indeed, if you look at the screenshot you attached, you'd see 'Deity'.

Originally, 'Allah' isn't same as you think. Allah was absorbed into different cultures/languages through the spread of Islam.

According to Wiki, Pre-Islam, Allah was a deity and was worshipped alongside "lesser" gods (you may look it up).

It's like a community originally worshipping an 'alusi'. A group of people brought another religion to the community and told them they have brought the teachings of a greater 'alusi' that no longer needs an idol to be worshipped. The community throws away the stones they worshipped and took on the new religion and still refers to the god they worship as Alusi, who was their god.
