they (NOUN) do not meet the requirements set by the Council of Legal Education and the Legal Practitioners Act.that is while they are prevented from going to law sch.furthermore. law cannot be read on a part time basis.its a professional course. again most law faculties of NOUN are poorly equipped.no good libraries and moot court.

Justice J. Liman of the Federal High Court Benin, Edo State, Wednesday convicted Michael
Igbinedion, younger brother to Lucky Igbinedion, former Edo State governor, and Charles
Eboigbodin .
The duo alongside their companies; Gava Corporation Limited; Romrig Nigeria Limited;
PML Securities Company Limited and PML Nigeria Limited, were prosecuted on an 81-
count charge of money laundering, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office brought
against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The convicts had pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned, setting the stage for a full
trail. In the course of trial, the prosecution called several witnesses to prove its case. One
of them, Mr. Ajoyo Sowale, an Accounts Officer with the Guaranty Trust Bank, identified
various account statements and account opening documents of the convicts and confirmed
to the court that several lodgements were made into the accounts, and that he printed the
account statements and got them certified by the appropriate authority.
The parties adopted their written addressed in November 14, 2014 , while judgment was
fixed for December 1, 2014. But a series of adjournments delayed the delivery of the ruling
till April 29. When justice Liman finally delivered his ruling today, he found the two
accused persons guilty on some of the counts. The judge convicted Eboigbodin for money
laundering on counts 50-59, while Igbinedion was pronounced guilty as charged on counts
79-81. The judge however deferred the sentencing of the convicts till April 30, 2015.

This sunday morning i was particularly angry with myself for going late to church. luckily for me i was able to get a sit at the extreme end of the church. sitting with me on this sit was a lady and a little girl carrying a young boy. While mass was on i discovered that the little boy was restless and has intermitently rebelled against the little girl carrying him. I on the other side of the sit was trying to be focused on the homily but the frequent disturbance from the little child couldnt let me be. i was really angry then and wanted to shout at him but i decided to hold back. In the course of the mass during the liturgy of the Eucharist when the father directed that we exchanged handshakes, i was shaking all those around and decided to shake hands with the little boy and that was wen i discovered that he was physically challenged with a stiff hand and spit running down from his mouth. suddenly a serious heat came upon me as it dawned upon me that this little boy was passing through serious pains.he could not even stand and had to be carried.i really felt bad for getting angry at him without knowing what caused his behaviour. NOW the lesson i learnt i that we should never be in a hurry to do or jugde things or others as we know not what they may be passing through. patience is a virtue. we should equally care about the plight of others and help each other. HAPPY EASTER PEOPLE.
