Romance / Couple Who Met On Twitter Set To Marry by Crystal70200: 2:05pm On Mar 21, 2016
Social media platforms have in some way or another brought joy and fulfillment into the lives of people from all spheres of life.

Gone are those days when social media relationships are considered a taboo due to different negativity tagged with the single idea of dating a guy you meet online. Hair Entrepreneur, Omoh is one of those lucky women who found love on social media.

Read her lovely story below:

I hadn’t been on twitter very long but I found the freedom of expression exhilarating. One evening in September 2012, he sent me a DM that started with “Hi I’m Frank ” of course I didn’t reply him for days. He was cute though. When i eventually replied, he said the right thing…” I really like you, I understand you don’t know me yet but I feel like I need to talk to you everyday of my life and If that’s all this becomes, then it’s enough for me “. It was a little cheesy, but he was serious. He messaged me everyday, on every social media platform he could find me. He found new ways we could contact each other. Then he progressed to calling everyday. I must confess that now, i can’t go a day without talking to my Olomi. #StartedFromTheDm #NowWeAreHere #FrankOmoh2016 See Pictures of their prewedding shots below.

Romance / 7 Reasons Nigerian Ladies In America Are Scared To Marry Men In Nigeria by Crystal70200: 12:36pm On Mar 18, 2016
1. Fear of being scammed – With the current trend of scammers everywhere, the fear of being deceived into unnecessary expenses has continued to envelope these ladies. No doubt, there are guys in Nigeria that have vowed to make it by hook or crook. Some have for so many years been trying their best possible to process visa to travel out of the country. For these ladies in the US, getting involved with such guys would be precarious. Even though some good guys exist out there of which these ladies hope to meet, the fear still lurks around. They have heard and read stories of the “yahoo boys” who go about scamming foreigners and fellow Nigerians alike. Thus, the fear of these guys is the beginning of wisdom.

2. Fear of being abandoned – There have been cases of these ladies getting married to guys in Nigeria, make every sponsorship to make them get to be in the US. They eventually become green card holders and in subsequent terms, become US citizens. The painful part becomes when the going gets tough. At this point, another woman is in the waiting. They leave these ladies and marry another. There are cases where some of these guys already had wives back in Nigeria. They pretend not to have such married status. Their wives become their partner in crime. Thus, with these stories being real, many of these ladies become scared not wishing to be abandoned after putting in all resources to make the union work.

3. Fear of men’s inability to fit into the US system – In some cases, after the guy gets to the US, he fails to take responsibility as the man and head of family. He fails to adjust in order to fit into the US system. Because of this, he wouldn’t work. Instead, the wife still continues to take care of all bills including his welfare. Tired of the situation and perhaps, humiliation, he goes back to Nigeria where he knows what to do to earn money.

4. Fear of living apart – Because he could not fit into the US system, he then decides to be visiting his family once or twice a year. Some guys just want the status of having a US green card or being a citizen and then they go back to Naija. No woman loves to be apart from her hubby. When this happens to some people they know, it becomes one of their many fears.

5. Fear of being controlled – This is another fear especially by those who do not want to humble themselves before any man. They are those whose mentalities have been twisted by the freedom and absolute rights given to women in America. Because of this right, a handful of men are more scared to be involved with these ladies since they cannot be with women who will always measure shoulders with them. If a man can be a subject to the ladies’ submissions, then they are good to go. Although, not every one of them has this controlling attribute.

6. Family approval – There are some families that do not want their daughters who are based in the US to be married to someone in Nigeria. They would rather prefer to see their girls married to Nigerians based in the US or better still, a white man. In some other cases they can simply match make their daughters with sons of friends. So, once the ladies’ families are not in support of the men of their choice, it becomes difficult. Although some would defy the disapproval of their families.

7. High taste – For those ladies whose tastes are high, they find it difficult getting guys in Nigeria that can stand their class for marriage purpose and not just for fun. Those classy kind of guys the ladies so yearn for are not even being enticed by the ladies’ presence. Those who keep approaching them are the ones who these ladies see as classless. But the moment a classy one approaches, he is embraced with all gladness. This is why guys may want to disguise as a topnotch in order to be able to woo and win the lady over.

Politics / Rivers Rerun: Amaechi Sends Clear Message To Wike by Crystal70200: 2:05pm On Mar 15, 2016
Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation and former governor of Rivers state has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party in Saturday’s rerun election in the state. Daily Post reports that Amaechi said he will be clubbing in Governor Nyesom Wike’s village on the eve of the election because he is sure of victory.

The minister was said to have made the declaration on Monday, March 15, when campaigning for his party at Rumueme Ward 10, Obio/Akpo local government area of the state. “One clear message I will send to Nyesom Wike is, I will come to his village on Friday; I’ll be in the night club because I’m sure we will win,” said.

According to him, the federal government will secure the lives and properties of the people of Rivers state if Governor Wike cannot maintain law and order in the state. The Rivers state re-run election will be holding on March 19 in the three senatorial districts, 11 House of Representatives and 22 state assembly seats. There is heavy security presence of both soldiers and policemen ahead of the elections.

Amaechi and Wike have been engaged in a war of words. Wike said Amaechi was a failed governor who needs urgent psychiatric evaluation and treatment, adding that he will be probed for corruption. Following the recent killings in the state, Chibudom Nwuche, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, has begged for the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari so as to avert further loss of lives.

Politics / 10 Political Statements That Shook Nigeria To Its Foundation by Crystal70200: 2:04pm On Mar 11, 2016
1. Before the 2007 general elections, the former president Olusegun Obasanjo while addressing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Abeokuta, Ogun state, on February 10, 2007, said: ”It is left to you to ensure that we elect credible and committed leaders. I commend those of you in the PDP for your efforts so far. I will campaign. This election is a do-or-die affair for me and the PDP. This coming election is a matter of life and death for PDP and Nigeria.”

2. President Muhammadu Buhari while addressing his supporters in the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) on May 14, 2012, said: ”If what happened in 2011 (alleged rigging) should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood.”

3. Reacting to Buhari’s threat, Asari Dokubo in an interview with Channels Television on September 8, 2013, said: ”2015 is already a settled matter. Goodluck Jonathan would be President in 2015. Whether they contest or they don’t. If they say the blood of the dogs and the baboons will be soaked in the streets, or salt water in the streets, we will help them in blood in the streets.”

4. A former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, while reacting to former president Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to contest the 2011 elections against what he termed the ”zoning policy of the PDP” said: ”Those who make peaceful change impossible will make violent change inevitable.”

5. Alhaji Kaita Lawal, a close associate of Atiku, added his voice to the agitation then in a rather threatening tone. He said: ”The North is determined, if it happens, to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan or any other southerner who finds his way to the seat of power on the platform of the PDP against the principle of the party’s zoning policy.”

6. Senator Shehu Sani, then a civil rights activist in Kaduna, also said: ”President Goodluck Jonathan should not contemplate contesting the 2011 presidential election. Any attempt by him to contest amounts to incitement and a recipe for political instability.”

7. The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, who was the director general of the APC presidential campaign before the 2015 election said: ”If the 2015 elections are rigged, the party will not recognize the outcome and will go ahead and form a parallel government.”

8. Chief Ralph Uwazurike, leader of the MASSOB, before the 2015 elections, told his supporters: ‘‘No Igbo man will become president in Nigeria because the Igbo have no agenda for 2015; Igbos are going nowhere because they have no agenda. The Hausas have agenda. The Yorubas have agenda and even the South South have agenda; that is why they have produced the current president, but the Igbo have none, hence they are going nowhere…nobody has been given power free of charge, you must go for power.”

9. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and director of Radio Biafra, in the far away America in 2015 said: ”We need guns and bullets from you people in America…..on the 22nd of this month something will happen it’s called the blood moon…, in 1967 before the war started there was a blood moon as well and there is blood moon this year because after this year we are going to be free no matter what happens because if we don’t get Biafra, everybody will have to DIE, as simple as that.”

10. Kingsley Kuku, the head of the presidential amnesty programme in Jonathan’s government told the US State Department led by the deputy assistant secretary of state (Bureau of African Affairs) Donald Teitelbaum in America, before the 2015 elections: ”There would be dire consequences in the Niger Delta, should Goodluck Jonathan fail to secure a fresh term in 2015. It is only a Jonathan presidency that can guarantee continued peace and energy security in the Niger Delta.”

Politics / #changetochains: Nigerians React, Lash Buhari And APC by Crystal70200: 4:23pm On Mar 10, 2016
Many Nigerians are unhappy with the current state of the nation under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Many took to social media to lament the hardship the people are passing through, especially the persistent fuel scarcity in parts of the country.

Some of the issues being complained about were the epileptic power supply, Buhari’s frequent foreign trips, high cost of consumer products, among other pertinent issues. They criticized the ‘change’ agenda of Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress with the hash tag, #ChangeToChains.

However, some other Nigerians called for patience, noting that the president has only spent 10 months in office and it still too early to judge his administration. While some were busy lamenting, others decided to make fun of the situation with funny memes.

Politics / Goodluck Jonathan Beats Tinubu, Anan To Prestigious Prize by Crystal70200: 4:26pm On Mar 07, 2016
Dr Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s immediate past president, has beaten many high-profile nominees drawn from across Africa to emerge Person of the Year 2015. The prestigious award was bestowed on him by the African Leadership Magazine.

The disclosure was made in a letter signed by the former Liberian Pro tem Senate president and chair, 2015 African Leadership Person of the Year Selection Committee, Cletus Wortoson. The nominees for this year’s award include former Secretary General of the United Nations, Koffi Anan; National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; founder of Econet Wireless; Strive Masiyiwa; Chairman of Heirs Holding, Tony Elumulelu; Executive Director of UN Women, Mlambo-Ngcuka, President of African Development Bank, AfDB, Akinwunmi Adesina.

Wortoson noted that the selection committee and the African Leadership Advisory Board placed a very high premium on Jonathan’s commitment towards deepening democracy on the continent. The letter reads, “There is no one best suited at the moment than Your Excellency, to advise the continent’s leaders on the merits of good governance and enduring democracy.

“Your popular mantra of ‘one man one vote’ and ‘my ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian,’ is a message that must be preached loud and clear on the continent, hence our endorsement. “In adopting you as our choice, we placed a very high premium on your commitment towards deepening democracy on the continent – a characteristic which is uncommon among most African leaders at the highest level today.

“Chief among the many factors we considered was your efforts towards promoting good governance in Africa-through the promotion of free and fair elections across the continent. Your recent assignment to Tanzania received accolades and international acclaim, because, you discharged the responsibility most creditably.” Jonathan has continued to be applauded for his “classy role” in the 2015 presidential election which marks a significant milestone in the Nigeria’s democracy. After losing the election, Jonathan congratulated his opponent, Muhammadu Buhari, and conducted a smooth transition of power.

Politics / Revealed: How Pro-biafra Propaganda Misleads Nigerian Newspapers by Crystal70200: 1:35pm On Mar 02, 2016
On Tuesday, March 1, one of the most reputable Nigerian newspapers published an article titled “Pope advises Biafra agitators to be patient”. According to it, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) released the text of Pope Francis’ address to over 35,000 of its members who gathered on Sunday, February 28, at the Vatican City for the weekly Angelus. “Pope has warned their oppressors, the government and Nigeria military and their agents to repent, stop killing Biafra agitators or face the wrath of god that will be catastrophic.’

“The pontiff according to IPOB, welcome the need to firmly and unreservedly focus on negotiations and dialogue between governments and agitators all over the world including Biafra agitators and the government of Nigeria, like done in Syria which has brought the current ceasefire in the country, involving government and rebel forces, which has entered its fourth day,” the article read in part.

However, Naij.com has gathered that the pontiff simply greeted some pro-Biafra protesters as well as believers from other countries who gathered in St Peter’s square that day. “I am greeting the believers from Gdansk, indigenous people of Biafra, students from Zaragoza, Huelva, Córdoba and Zafra, the young people of Formentera and the believers from Jaén,” he said.

According to the real text of the Sunday Angelus address published by Catholic News Agency, Pope Francis neither defended Biafra activists, nor issued a warning to the Nigerian government and the military. At the same time, the article based on the IPOB’s statement says otherwise. Delivering his remarks, the pontiff spoke on Jesus’ “invincible patience”, explaining how God’s “unyielding concern for sinners” should provoke impatience in ourselves.

Finally, the fact that over 35,000 IPOB members gathered in St Peter’s square last Sunday seems like an obvious exaggeration. Judging by photos posted by pro-Biafra protesters themselves dozens, not thousands of activists, were listening to the powerful speech of Pope Francis. See some photos below:

Politics / Why Buhari's Administration Is Having A Hard Time - Ndume by Crystal70200: 2:23pm On Mar 01, 2016
The Senate leader, Ali Ndume has disclosed that elites are the ones sabotaging President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Speaking with journalist on Monday, February 29, Ndume said the angry elites were militating against President Buhari’s moves to turn around the country’s economy from the mess left by previous administrations. He said there was a deliberate attempt by elites angry with Buhari’s war against corruption, to set the masses against this administration and make the All Progressives Congress (APC) government unpopular.

The Senate leader blamed the elites for the hardship Nigerians are facing especially the rising prices of food stuffs. “If not for the saboteurs, Nigerians would have been reaping the dividend of electing President Buhari. Otherwise, what has the fall of naira to do with the price of millet, tomatoes and other locally produced commodities? It is understandable that the price of imported rice is affected,” he said. Ndume called on Nigerians to be patient, saying the APC government was hard to improve the living conditions of the people and turn things around for good.

Two weeks ago, Chief John Oyegun, the national chairman of the APC said some people had been compromised and were sabotaging Buhari’s government. It appears this administration has a powerful group of saboteurs to contend with. These saboteurs are everywhere, in oil, power and education sectors. These group of people have been blamed for most of the things going wrong in the society, most especially the 2016 budget saga. As a result, Buhari reportedly ordered the complete purge of the Budget Office following the discrepancies, errors and padding of the budget.

Nigeria is a very religious country with lots of ‘over religious’ people. When it comes to anything that concerns Church, trust Nigerians to be at the fore-front. When you walk through Nigerian streets, you can’t help but be amazed at the kind of church posters flooding everywhere. Some of the themes used by some churches on their posters would leave you laughing hilariously when you see them. No matter your problem, you are sure to find a poster that has a solution and suits your need.

Politics / 5 Ways Buhari Can Save The Economy by Crystal70200: 5:10pm On Feb 19, 2016
The Naira exchange rate has suffered severe battering in recent times. Things are not getting any better for the Naira as all we hear on a daily basis is how value of the naira keeps dropping. Different strategies and measures have been taken by the Central Bank of Nigeria but it doesn’t seem to helping. The free fall of the Naira is not new but the rate at which it has been going down in the past weeks is quite frightening. As at today, the exchange rate on the parallel market N400 as against yesterday’s N385. Some have given suggestions on what President Muhammadu Buhari can do to save the Naira. Below are the suggestions.

1. Though President Muhammadu Buhari said he is not convinced of the need for the Naira to be devalued, some feel it is the only way out. Devaluation of the naira would help in reducing the pressure on forex, provide the government with a degree of policy flexibility and boost the inflow of capital into the country. But it would also bring with it inflation and higher cost of living. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Buhari won't devalue the naira How to save the naira

2. We have been too dependent on crude oil. It is time to diversify the economy and save Nigeria from collapse. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter How to save the naira READ ALSO: 11 made in Nigeria products you can buy to improve the Naira

3. The appetite for foreign things is one of the problems bedeviling Nigerian economy. We need to curb our appetite for foreign goods and things. This is why there has been a call for people to buy made in Nigeria products.

4. Someone suggested the CBN relax import restrictions. Some of the restricted items are critical in the manufacturing process of many firms across sectors in Nigeria. Some of these firms have had to cut down operations or forced to shut down.

5. Agricultural policies must be promoted. If the government wants a switch from local to foreign inputs, then it must provide the right incentives. Financing has to be provided to the farmers to support the mechanization of their farms.

Politics / 11 Made In Nigeria Products You Can Buy To Improve The Naira by Crystal70200: 1:04pm On Feb 19, 2016
Nigeria is currently struggling with the value of the naira which has been declining against the US dollar. No one knows how far it will fall before it stabilizes.

As a result of the country’s economic challenge, many have been calling on Nigerians to patronize made and Nigeria product. The thing is, Nigerians love imported goods because some of the made in Nigeria goods are of less quality and more expensive. Many have suggested we diversify the economy and not depend solely on crude oil. Well, let’s see some of the things Nigerians have suggested could help grow our economy.

1. Eat pap and stop patronizing oats and foreign custards.
2. Leave Kellogs cornflakes and patronize Nasco cornflakes.
3. We have some pretty shoes and slippers in Nigeria. Leave Italian shoes for Italians.
4. How about we stop importing Ankara materials and ours or better still, improve the tie and dye clothes. Adire fabric
5. Can we stop importing furniture and patronize our local furniture makers.
6. Made in Nigeria cars. Yes, you will say the parts are imported but it’s still a good start.
7. When you go the super market, ditch the foreign biscuits, sweets and gum for made in Nigeria ones.
8. Why not buy locally made bags instead of paying thousands of dollars for designer bags.
9. Why travel abroad when we have the Obudu cattle ranch, Yankari game reserve and other tourist centres?
10. Patronize locally made soap and cream, stop looking for bleaching cream.
11. Better clothes can be made in Aba and Lagos, not only in foreign countries

Let's help our economy grow oooooooohhhh, haba, this naira to dollar thing is getting outta hand!

Crime / How Boko Haram Is Getting In The Way Of Football Fans And Their Teams by Crystal70200: 9:33am On Feb 10, 2016
Maiduguri is the capital city of Borno state, a town where the Boko Haram sect has dominated fearfully and powerfully.

El-Kanemi Warriors is one of the many football clubs in the state, some are not playing in the leagues, inside the state are private football academies and other mini leagues and of course like any other town – young children even adults will gather to play football either by betting or for fun.

Boko Haram on the other hand have been terrorising the state, killing scores, in no time which made the state a no-go-area for many people, some were displaced and scattered all over the nation while some fled for their lives.

Recently, the federal government have come out to say that these group have been technically defeated.

The continuous bombing however, made the LMC move the foremost football team in the state – El-Kanemi Warriors out to safety, to avoid any terrorism attack.

Neutral land

It is no longer news that the team have been playing their home matches at the Katsina stadium due to the uprising of the insurgents who have been bombing, kidnapping and killing Nigerians especially in the town.

When the players chose El-Kanemi Warriors, they never knew they will have to spend two days on the road – dangerous Nigerian roads to get to match venues. The terrorists have reduced the players to ‘normadic footballers’ right in their own country.

They are not aware that, their lives will be threatened for doing what they love to do and also for signing for their choice club.

“Katsina has affected the team because we have to travel 10hrs from Maiduguri to Katsina to play home matches and we spend like two days journey and players get fatigued and it is not easy,” Michael George explained further.

Playing in another state have been detrimental to the team, they no longer get to see their home teams jeered them up whenever they are playing and also the encouragement and praises from fans which helps the team is no longer there.

It is a morale killer for the players. It is not easy but they had to make do and cope.

El-Kanemi warriors is a team that has a huge followership in the Premier league and the fans are at the mercy of the terrorists as they don’t get to see their favourite team play live in Maiduguri.

A cable channel broadcasts the league matches every week and it is a possibility that almost all the fans will not be able to access the matches live.

However, if they want to go and watch the games at pay-centres, it might be a possibility as it is typical of the pay-centers to showcase only foreign league matches like the EPL, La Liga, etc.

Unfortunately, they might not be seeing their team play as the fate lies with the LMC to decide if the team will be allowed to play home matches in Maiduguri.

“There is a proposal by the state government assuring the LMC of security on ground but we are waiting on them, to decide for us, as we really wish to go back home and play in Maiduguri,” Ladan Bosso told Naij.com sports.

New management

The club has appointed a premier league veteran coach, Ladan Bosso who coached Abia Warriors last season. Bosso who is currently in camp with the players also prayed they get the grant to go back to Maiduguri to play their home matches.

With the zeal to deliver and impress his new employers, also in a bid to prepare for the new league season, the team have started camping in Katsina and the coach is excited to be there.

“Of course I am so happy to be here, everyone is happy to see me and I am ready to work with the team and we hope to get so far in the league, lets see how it goes. We are in Katsina,” Bosso said

Despite all these hardship, the team managed to avoid relegation and continue their sojourn in the elite league. They are currently having their pre-season training camp in Katsina.

“We are doing our pre-season in Katsina and as I am talking now we are already in Katsina preparing for the league season which will commence in two weeks time,” the newly appointed coach of the team, Ladan Bosso told Naij.com sports.

Players decision

The players said they want to go back to their home ground and play there. They are tired of traveling all over the place.

“I am not afraid we have been playing there for long and the town is not that bad, it is okay, people have been going in and out of Maiduguri you understand.

“And inside the Maiduguri town that we play our matches are safe and now we are in Katsina for pre-season we are not in Maiduguri,” George Michael said.

“We dont want to take chances so we start our pre-season so if the LMC approves we will go back if not we will be there, Bosso said.

The League Management Company (LMC) that administers the league has given the club an order to submit a guarantee to them explaining if they are ready to play home games in Maiduguri;

Romance / 6 Reasons You Should Not Have Random Sex Just Because It's Valentine's Day by Crystal70200: 5:01pm On Feb 09, 2016
1. Sexually Transmitted Diseases are for real: STDs don’t have respect for age, colour or race. No matter your age, you could still get infected. It only takes having sex one time with an infected partner to get infected yourself. Most people with STDs are not even aware they have it. Love is beautiful thing, STDs are not. Don’t put yourself at risk.

2. You’re not immune to pregnancy: If children are not in your near future, you should think twice before deciding to roll underneath the sheets. Every year, thousands of young girls end up with pregnancies they did not plan for and they are abandoned by the men who claimed they loved them in the heat of passion. When you are left to face the consequences alone, you are faced with two options, keep the baby or abort it. Which will you choose?

3. Condoms are not perfect: You might be thinking you can prevent STDs and pregnancy with condom but it’s a known fact that condoms are not a 100% safe. Remember condoms can break.

4. You don’t want to live with regrets: You don’t want to wake the next day wishing you did not do it. It might be fun while it lasts but you might end up with more regrets afterwards. Having sex comes with its own psychological risks.

5. Sex on Valentine’s Day is overrated: There is very little about it left that is still special and different. There are lots of other things you can do besides sex that can be very romantic and sexy.

6. Sex is not love: Don’t get it twisted. Just because someone has sex with you doesn’t mean they love you. Ask the prostitutes who sleep with different men for a living. Majority of the time people have sex just to have sex and not for love.

Politics / Dasukigate: Goodluck Jonathan Finally Reacts by Crystal70200: 12:30pm On Jan 28, 2016
Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s immediate ex-president, has finally made some remarks regarding the $2.1 billion arms saga that has threatened to rock the nation to its foundation. Jonathan said he would not interfere with ongoing prosecutions.

The former president made this remark in a series of tweets, in reaction to certain claims that he has been too quiet even as many of “his men” are being prosecuted.

Jonathan also assured in his series of tweets that he will not be mute on such a huge issue which threatens the peace and economic stability of the nation.

The former president further informed that though the issue on ground is very pertinent and must be attended to with urgency, still his post presidential focus remains to advance the course of democracy and foster the growth of good governance in Africa.

Jonathan who currently hold the title of African Sun Times international person of the year, at the moment is in Geneva, Switzerland, where he is holding a press conference.

It will be recalled that the former head-of-state, had earlier dissociated himself from malicious reports which suggests that he had a hand in the ongoing arms procurement scandal levelled against his administration.

Politics / Remi Tinubu Criticizes Buhari: "Expected Change Is Not Being Experienced" by Crystal70200: 2:44pm On Jan 26, 2016
The wife of the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Remi Tinubu has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari’s government during the Senate plenary today, January 26.
[img][/img]

Tinubu’s wife said that the change now experienced by Nigerians is not what was expected.

The senator also stated that the Buhari’s administration will incur the wrath of women if something is not done to improve the allocation to the women’s affair ministry.

Mrs.Tinubu also accused the government of abandoning women in IDPs.

Buhari’s ministerial list of 36 nominees has only six women. Five are from the North and one from the Southwest.

The gender picture in former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration was by far better. He had more than 10 ministers in his cabinet.

Romance / 5 Relationship Secrets You Should Never Discuss With Friends by Crystal70200: 10:50am On Jan 26, 2016
No man is an island. At one point or the other in our lives, we need friends; people we could confide in and sometimes fall on in times of crisis. However, there should be a limitation to the things one share with friends.

Remember, they are ordinary people like us; flawed and with cells of imperfection. While friends could provide the warmth and succor that could save the moment, they could also become a thorn in your flesh and pose as a potential threat to your happiness. We all need counseling at one point or the other, and a friend may have the words that would save the moment. They may also have some experiences to share that could guide one. Irrespective of all these, one should learn to know when to draw the curtain and hold back especially when it comes to the issue of relationships. Sharing vital information about one’s relationship with friends is not ideal; it puts one in serious jeopardy as the truth could be twisted or shared with other people. Your private life becomes a joke then and redeeming that impression comes with a high price.

Below are some things you should never share with friends when it comes to your relationships.

1. Finances
Your friends could help you out when you are low in finances. It is natural for them to probe and ask questions. Never give them detailed information on the exact amount your partner is earning; it’s an indirect way of making your partner lose his or her worth. Your friends would start to see your partner as not being capable of meeting your needs. Expensive jokes you may not like could be passed on his or her financial capability and you may not like it.

2. Infidelity
Most ladies are quick to share details of their partner’s infidelity with their friends. Men cheat; it has almost become a norm. However, letting your friends know about these things would only make them disregard the men in your life. Your little chit-chat about your partner to your friends would make them disrespect him someday. He would always be seen as being irresponsible.

3. Fights And Arguments
Avoid running off to your friends anytime there is a fight between you and your partner. They may help you settle fights from time to time but they would eventually get tired and mock your relationship. There are some issues that should never be shared with a third party when it comes to your private life.

4. Having Multiple Partners
It is absurd to tell your friends about the number of men in your life and how you manage them. While they may hype you and make you feel like you are reigning or in vogue, their comments would run you down someday. Sharing such information with them all in the name of gist gives them certain power over you. Indirectly, you are placing a weapon into their hands. When it’s time to settle down finally, they may use all these things against you.

5. Dark Secrets
Everyone goes through trying moments from time to time. These moments sometimes push people beyond their limits and make them commit heinous crimes. Without trying to justify the drastic measures people take when faced with challenges, it should be known that everyone has secrets. It’s totally pointless telling your friends the number of abortions you have had or the fact that you seduced an underage girl. These are things people aren’t proud of. You never can tell when these secrets would be used against you.

Politics / Revealed: The Real Reason Top PDP Members Are Defecting To APC by Crystal70200: 2:24pm On Jan 25, 2016
The upsurge in the defection of top members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been revealed to be a ploy by the opposition party to take over the ruling party.

According to a report by New Telegraph, the PDP has started its secret effort to wrestle back power in 2019 by encouraging mass defection of some of its member to the ruling APC. The long term plan is to build enough force within the party and take over the structure thereby causing a divide that would affect the unity of the party.

It was also claimed that another reason for the defection was to escape the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) radar as it is believed that the anti-corruption agency is focusing its beam on members of the PDP.

According to the report, the presence of top persons like the former cice-president, Atiku Abubakar, Senate president, Bukola Saraki, governors Nasir el-Rufai, Aminu Tambuwal, Rochas Okorocha and Rauf Aregbesola was to build their political front as they have been encouraging more defections into the party thereby creating a large loyalist base.

It was reported that the PDP first tried out the ploy in the Bayelsa gubernatorial election where the former president, Goodluck Jonathan and the governor, Seriake Dickson masterminded the defection of PDP members to the APC thereby having access to the plot of the opposition party.

A source said: “The Bayelsa governor infiltrated the APC leadership in the state and the party’s campaign organisation such that he had every information and plot against his re-election. All the plans of the APC to win the election were leaked to the PDP. This is why Dickson was able to win the hard-fought election.”

The success reportedly recorded by the PDP in Bayelsa has cemented the decision to try it at the national level. It was reported that the opposition party has successfully infiltrated the APC in the south-east. The defection has also began to raise eyebrows within the party as Chief Bisi Akande, the former interim leader of the APC warned members of the party to be wary of the influx of PDP members to APC.

Politics / Sponsors Of B’haram Are The Arms Deal Suspects – Group by Crystal70200: 11:33am On Jan 22, 2016
A group under the the umbrella of the Borno Elders Forum has alleged that persons indicted in the diversion of funds meant to purchase arms for soldiers combating insurgency in Northeast Nigeria are the real sponsors of Boko Haram.

The Nigerian Army has reclaimed vast amount of territories from Boko Haram insurgents since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

The group in a release yesterday, January 21, which was signed by their chairman, Ambassador Gaji Galtimari, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to root out those funding Boko Haram as the arms deal controversy had uncovered those to be punished for all the destruction in the north east.

The group said: “Much has been said about the sponsors of Boko Haram. With the horrifying revelations about the ‘Arms Deal’, it is no longer necessary to continue delaying the search for the real sponsors of Boko Haram. Those who collected such huge sums of money from the national treasury and converted same for their unending greed and avarice should be regarded as part and parcel of the sponsors of Boko Haram. Get them and you will get the rest.

“The people who sponsored the activities of Boko Haram or those who deliberately turned away from their official responsibilities on security issues, or those who looted the funds meant for the prosecution of the war against Boko Haram, and those who spoke or continue to speak in their favour are all one and the same.

“They all individually and collectively aided and sponsored the Boko Haram insurgency. They colluded to ensure the death of our brave soldiers, our innocent people and the near total destruction of our society. Nigerians should stand by us and collectively assist to bring those responsible to book. “

The forum said since the outbreak of the Boko Haram uprising in 2009 to date, it had proffered solution on how security and social issues could be resolved, but lamented that the former administration ignored solutions preferred by the group.

Hmnnn...it would be nice if this problem gets sorted once and for all oh, we need peace in this country! undecided
