Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump's Inauguration: Live Updates. by cstr55: 8:05pm On Jan 20, 2017
Btw, i just can't wait to see the full force of the American military machine unleashed on ISIS and national sponsors of terrorism anywhere they are in the world.
They are going to see fire from the skies and fire from the seas and global oceans.
Joyful days ahead for the world. And God bless America

Exatly my sentiment. I fear for globalization. I feel his protectionsim sentiment may backfire on the US. My hunch tells me that America controls over 70% of the global market.

Restrictive trade policies may hurt the US more. I think Trump is sympathetic to and is kind of entraped in the industrial age mindset. He does not seem to realize that the US controls globalization.

Wonder what he will do if other countries take a cue and begin to resist American technology.
Trump is not against globalization. He is a self made-billionaire afterall and surely knows the importance.
He just wants america to stop losing jobs to china and mexico. He wants american tech firms to stop looking for cheap chinese and mexican labour at the expense of america. He wants america to ruthlessly benefit in every possible deal at the expense of everybody else.
Imagine if all the hp , apple and dell devices and all the chevrolet and ford motors were all manufactured in the US, after-all americans did the bulk of the work in the technical design. The jobs created would be superflous. That is why americans voted for him.
Though he will need to drastically reduce taxes to ensure that the prices are competitive.

I never realized that American was still this religious. I mean, i never knew they could allow for a Christian prayer.
Democratic party tried to change the order of things to be politically correct.
America is christian.

They are very different . Buhari knows Government and governance. He has been holding public office in Nigeria since he was in his thirties. Trump has never, ever done anything in Government except buy New York politicians and donate to campaigns.
I am always surprised when people see similarities in the two people. None.
Buhari is more like Eisenhower.
See your mouth like eisenhower. angry
Desecrating the memory of one of the greatest american leaders in history with the buhari trash.

no wonder putin has been growing some balls lately
What can be more ballsy than russia invading ukraine under obama's nose or iran shooting at US navy men in the persian gulf? Trump would have blown them all out of the water.
Illiterate. Better focus on your shitty worthless country and its junk-bloodthirsty security officers.

Look at this fool!!!
Do you know the number of innocent civilians the Russians have killed in counter terrorism operations within Russia, using Russian weapons?
Google the Moscow theatre siege by Russian special forces in 1999, google the Berslan massacre by Russian special forces in 2005.
Do you know the number of innocent Chechens (Russians) that were killed when the Russian Army and special forces entered Chechnya in 1995 and 2001 and razed Grozny to the ground?
Even the Chinese have killed a lot of innocent civilians in the Muslim quigur province on the border with Pakistan in several counter terrorism operations.
That's why I said just shut your dirty mouth if you don't know what you're talking about. You have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.
I'm not justifying the death of innocent civilians but all I'm saying is that its very stupid to assume that it is specific to Nigeria and that innocent civilians will never be caught in the crossfire.
You are an illiterate of cluster Bleep proportions.
It shows the terrible depth of idiocy an average yoruba man will go in defending inanities.

The same Russia that bombed a humanitarian hospital in Syria late last year? Please stop posting about issues you have absolutely no clue about. Just shut up and crawl back to your ignorant hole.
Where have you heard of that the russians bombed their own citizens in an air raid by mistake even in chechnya?. You are the ignorant one here.
Infact, conspiracy theories would simply allude such ''error'' to a non-chalant attitude with regards to human casualty when a target is in their sights and they may actually be right.
The US also sometimes forego the human cost when trying to take out a very high value terrorist on FOREIGN SOIL, and cover it up with the Mistake bullshit story. Note on FOREIGN SOIL.
Don't bring your afonja stupidity close to me. I will swallow you alive.

I get your point.
Your point is that since the american govt is secular, then america has no religion.
That is wrong. The people have a religion and it is christianity.

Typical Nairaland Christian..You know nothing about US and it religion. Forget about the God bless America motto. America doesn't give a damn about religion,Christianity or Islam

Meanwhile I am not talking about the religious distribution rate of it citizens..I am talking about the stand of it government on religion.
The government like any progressive government is secular to take care of all interests without pandering to bigotry, but it dosen't wipe its christian imprints from existence.
The majority of the original citizens and immigrants are christians and that is what makes the nation.
The overwhelming religion of the original people is the religion of the nation.
I know you as a muslim like to hang on the secularity of the american government with every fiber of your being, but that doesn't stop america from being christian.
THE POTUS welcomed the pope personally from the airport to the white house. That will never happen for any other religion or any other religious leader. It would be politically untenable even for a secular american president.
If not for mass immigration of muslims in the recent years, we wouldn't even be arguing this.

A key member in his transition team and likely in his White House is Omarosa, a Nigerian born in Ohio. She is yet to denounce and disclaim Nigeria. In other words, she has not yet recognized Biafra.

She will be his ear on Africa but particularly Nigeria.
Omarosa ko, amala ni. A lady that is all intent american .
Besides the fact that you believe omarosa a mere staffer will upturn Donald trump and the GOP policy on Africa shows the level of your mental capacity and your understanding of american politics. No wonder you were busy overestimating Nigeria's influence.
You have serious delusions of grandeur.

Nairaland christians don come again. And what makes you think the Obama's are Christians?
The obamas may not be christian, it dosen't really matter. They are not muslim anyway. Atleast not publicly, for obvious reasons of political correctness.
The american political establishment and history is christian and that is what matters.
The american president follows policy not what he wants.

YOU must really overestimate Nigeria. And it is seriously funny.

keep deceiving yourself.. a region with no natural endowment, only disasters is what you call tourist zone
A place where they kidnap and kill people for ransom is where tourists will visit. keep dreaming
Japan , switzerland and even tiny israel has no natural resource, and Nigeria will never measure up to them in a million-trillion years.
Igboland have humongous resources which would be put to good use, but it wouldn't make it a difference if we didn't have any single natural resource.
Unlike the rest of the Nigerian hell-hole, our resourceful, industrious, brilliant, and knowledgable people spread over the world are our greatest and most productive resource that is more valuable than a million oil wells or a thousand diamond fields.

Shoot Biafrans ke? You think say na small pikin dey rule govt? Go ahead and celebrate with Trump all you want. Trump dumps friends for business interests, it is unfortunate Biafra has zero hold on markets and business.

Nigeria does not need to rally for Trump. His interests in Africa will lure him in. He will trade your friendship for a deal with Nigeria.
What is trump interests in Nigeria? The US is the largest exporter of crude in the world and trump wants america to deal with only sane countries in the western hemisphere.
So what exactly will Nigeria offer trump? cheesy

Even the russians and the chinese that Nigeria think will sell them weapons will soon start thinking twice to avoid back-lash from international quarters. As every nation that worth anything wants to start looking good before the world.
Such terrible and uninspiring leadership i have never seen the likes before.

If American troops could miss targets severally in iran and Afghanistan, if Nato force could do the same in Syria, killing many innocent people in a big hospital and other places last year, who's Nigerian troops who are trying to live up to their standards? Learn to celebrate your own people.
The only common factor in all of them is foreign territory and unfamiliar terrain.
It is unheard of to carpet bomb your own citizens with a fighter jet in your own terrain.
Get some sense, afonja, I know ignorance is a common malaise over there.

If you care to know how US incurred those debts, you won't bother replying.
Ask yourself why china has not even asked for their debt back.
