SHUT UP

Do you know as undeveloped as OTA is, it is home to

Three universities (Crawford, Covenant and Bells) 1 Polytechnic (OGITECH)
Nigerian Breweries
Unilever
Indomie
Honda
Nestle
Shongai Plastics etc
Industrial FTZ
Avon
Fidson Healthcare
Tell me, please mention just one place in your erosion troubled land (not a state capital) that has all these, just one.
Aba and Nnewi is undeveloped, yet it has more industrial activity than most parts of ogun states.
You have evaded the main issue here.
OBJ was not the yoruba supported candidate. His people did not even vote for him. He won with south eastern support and northern PDP machinery.
OBJ did nothing for the yoruba people. He disgraced tinubu and disgraced Lagos. Igbos benefited more from him.
OBJ was very lucky to emerge as president. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is an afonja.
Get that into your thick skulls.

I see u are too sunked in this your probabilistic sentiment.Trump main goal is to develop america. He has no time to waste money on any foreign country or Israel..America is first..Did u say align with Russia?
You sound detached from the real world. Why do u think Assad of Syria is still in power?Well its because of Russia.. See you have to come to reality with what Putin said "Russian President Vladimir Putin has vowed that his country will always be a “reliable ally” to the “Islamic world” at a discussion event on the topic of Islam and Russia, last year..This boils down to the revelation that America hatched the war in Iraq and Libya...
America is first. It means american intests comes first.
Isreal is critical to america's interests. A balknaized Nigeria may be in america's interests.
Get the facts right. America first, does not mean he is no longer a world player.
Trump supports the creation of independent taiwan and hongkong because it is in america's interests for china to balkanize and for the pentagon to have a military foothold very close to chinese territory .

STFU. OBJ lost yoruba votes . You forgot olu falae was your consensus candidate which the south west voted for.
Or have you forgotten how OBJ destroyed tinubu and lagos during his time.
You better keep quiet before i school you on history.
Igbos actually benefited more from an OBJ presidency that the yorubas did.
He was the one that unravelled the likes of Okonjo iweala and dora akunyili and many of them.
The only he did for the SW was filling a yoruba slot for the presidency. He did not even develop OTA.

A total of 103 Perdix drones, each weighing less than a pound and with a wingspan of less than a foot, demonstrated one of the world's largest micro-drone swarms Oct. 26, 2016, at China Lake, California, in which they demonstrated collective decision-making and adaptive formation after being dropped from the pack of three F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets. Foreign AffairsFrom Drone Swarms To Smart Data, The Pentagon Eyes Artificial Intelligence. by cstr55(op): 8:15pm On Jan 21, 2017
[b]The CBS show “60 Minutes” recently featured the rising number of experimental Pentagon technologies operating with artificial intelligence, from drone swarms to ground robots to naval ships.

The segment, “The Coming Swarm,” showcased a ground robot-aerial drone duo designed to track terrorists, a naval trimaran capable of spotting submarines, and more than 100 drones dropped from a trio of F/A-18 Hornet jets flying at near the speed of sound in what was billed as the largest micro-drone swarm.

The latter, which took place in the fall at China Lake, California, was arguably the most noteworthy, not only because the systems demonstrated collective decision-making and adaptive formation flying, but also because of their high-pitched alien sounding scream. (Check out the video below at the 2:20-minute mark to hear it for yourself.)

“To me the eeriest part about this moment was actually the sound,” correspondent David Martin later said of the noise. “It turned into something almost from another planet when you heard all 100 of them slowly descending in that sort of death spiral.”

When Martin asked William Roper, director of the Pentagon’s Strategic Capabilities Office, whether autonomy is the biggest thing in military technology since nuclear weapons Roper replied, “If what we mean is the biggest thing that is going to change everything, I think autonomy is going to change everything.”

He’s not alone. Last week in Washington, D.C., officials from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Pentagon’s research arm known as DARPA, the defense industry and other organizations met to talk about the opportunities and challenges for artificial intelligence in the military.

The “Beyond A.I. Forum” was organized by TandemNSI, a national security consultancy based in Arlington, Virginia, and Booz Allen Hamilton, the defense consulting giant based in McLean, Virginia While autonomy, artificial intelligence and machine learning are exciting and rapidly evolving fields, defense officials have to “take a step back and say, ‘Our competitive advantage in this rising-tide-is-lifting-all boats is what?'” said Chuck Howell, chief engineer of portfolio programs and integration at Mitre Corp., an engineering nonprofit that supports the federal government.

“What is the [concept of operations]?” he asked. “What are the confidence levels? What are the ways to exploit this global capability that we can come up with that’s novel?”

Howell added, “There are huge opportunities for companies that can take the general framework of A.I. machine learning and tailor it to those weird examples that the DoD and the [intelligence community] worry about. Finding cats on the Internet? Not a problem. Finding tells in a grainy overhead [image]? Harder.”

Justin Manzo, senior lead engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, agreed. For the Pentagon, big data is part of the problem. Developing systems that can help identify the megabytes of critical intelligence from the petabytes of information is part of the solution, he said.

“Those kind of systems are what we can operationalize … [and] put downrange, where there’s limited data links,” he said.

Jonathan Aberman, managing director of TandemNSI and moderator of the panel, said the business opportunities for developing products and services in this space are significant. The Defense Department is estimated to now spend upwards of $3 billion a year on autonomous systems alone.

“If you’re an entrepreneur … the next two years [represent] unbelievable opportunities for raising venture capital around these products,” he said.

Fred Kennedy, deputy director of the Tactical Technology Office at DARPA, made clear the Pentagon’s goal for the technology. “These are all systems we’re looking at right now,” he said. “Autonomy is going to be our asymmetric approach to how we fight.”

But your president said igbos should not complain about marginalization because kachukwu and emefiele from the SS are igbo.
Ciroma also said the same thing the likes of udoma and kachukwu, emefiele are represnting igbos in government and so according to him, there is no rational reason for igbo cries of marginalization.
I think you should direct your question to your president. As far as Nigeria is concerned the bulk of the SS is igbo and we gladly embrace it.

Actually, if Nigeria was a sane country with sane leaders, Nnamdi kanu the fool who came to Nigeria and got arrested should not be able to pose any serious threat.
But your buhari has done the work for him. Shooting protesters in cold blood to preserve a hollow sovereignty . Who does that nowadays?
Anybody with a brain knows that is the first step to turn a movement into a revolution and that is why countries generally avoid too much force in dealing with mass protest.

Not true, the Biafran war was probably the first war the world would see in real time on their TVs. Ojukwu's propaganda was very effective but it didn't win the war or result in Biafra. Why then is ipob following the same failed tactics used by Ojukwu?
The 60s is different. The geo-political realities are different.
Balkanization of nation states was rarely supported by the world powers. Now since then ,the US has disintegrated over 5 nation states in the midst of their hollow soverignty.
Don't deceive yourself at all. And yes, agitation actually works now. That is what the civilized world uses. And is a sharp departure from ojukwu's civil war approach.

[b]US B-2 bombers struck and destroyed two ISIS camps in Libya overnight, with initial estimates that over 80 militants were killed, US officials told CNN Thursday.
The strikes were on external actors who were actively "plotting attacks in Europe," Secretary of Defense Ash Carter told reporters.

The mission was approved several days ago by President Barack Obama and is expected to be the last short-notice military operation ordered by him, according to sources.
"The fighters training in these camps posed a security risk to Libya, to its neighbors, to our allies in Africa and Europe, and to the United States," Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook told reporters. "While we are still evaluating the results of the strikes, the initial assessment indicates they were successful."
US defense official said the militants were seen immediately beforehand carrying weapons, wearing tactical vests, holding mortars and standing in formation.
The Department of Defense showed reporters a rare video of surveillance footage of the ISIS fighters as they loaded what appeared to be shells and rocket-propelled grenades into pick-up trucks. A second video showing the camps being bombed was also shown.
The number killed was not released by the Pentagon, but the first estimate put the figure at over 80. There were no women or children in the area, the official said.
Cook described the camps as being in a "very rural area."
US surveillance aircraft had been watching the sites for weeks as fighters fled from Sirte on the coastline into what they perceived to be the safety of remote desert areas. But the isolation of the area gave those surveillance aircraft clear imagery showing military-aged males in several reas, according to officials.
The two camps that were destroyed were located about 28 miles southwest of Sirte, the Pentagon said.
Cook said the strike was carried out by two US Air Force B-2 Spirit bombers flying from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, a 30-plus hour roundtrip mission, and that over 100 bombs and missiles were dropped on the targets. It was the first time the aircraft were used in an attack since 2011.

A stark proof that President donald was right when he suggested that the only relationship America and the developed west can have with Africa and indeed Nigeria is welding the big stick of punishment every time till africans evolve to something resembling humans.
Let me see the idiott minister or president in Nigeria that would have the temerity to go and ask the US to support Nigeria.
IPOB is sytematically and gradually cutting Nigeria off from international good-will and relevant international support.

pchukwudi:
I got all your points. But I think you are missing one crucial factor: "cost of labour".

The very fact that those brands you mentioned are not getting their products manufactured in the US is the major factor that make those products competitive globally.

Shoot up the cost of production by massproducing, say, HP products in the US, you'd automatically lose the bulk of african and asian market.

Outsourcing is the backbone of globalization. And it's not only manufacturing that's being outsourced by American enterpreneurs, services are getting hugely outsourced too. But the good thing is that American corporations still control the bulk of the chain despite the seeming job and capital flight.

Again it's also proven that American import has a direct positive growth effect on America's service sector.

Given, lots of Americans -especially the older genetations and the less educated - are either underemployed or unemployed. But I really think that Trump's team need to do a lot of creative thinking to solve this problem. The simple approach of "buy American; Hire American" is not likely to cut it.
[b] Controlling the bulk of the value chain which is the highly technical and sophisticated part is not providing enough jobs for the vulnerable majority like the high school and college drop-outs, the veterans, the aged, the soccer moms and the disabled. The raw industrial manufacturing is a huge creator of jobs in china and mexico.
Yes, i know that the highlighted are major problems, and i seriously would like to see how trump will do it.
If he is able to pull it off somehow by totally reducing taxes or granting significant tax holidays, and offering federal subsidies to counter the high cost of american labour and still keep prices globally affordable, then he would end up as the best american president in history.
It is going to be very difficult, but atleast he is talking about it and that is what americans want to hear- A president that will bring their jobs home. I also trust the fact that america has the resources to be economically inventive .
And it is also going to destroy the chinese economy forever if he pulls it off and cripple a potential rival. That is probably another motivation.[/b]
