Ankakh: This part is sad to read. Hopeful that the Nigerian Police will one day rise to the challenge of securing lives in Nigeria. Yes, we know they are understaffed and underpaid but what's the point of them if they can't do their jobs?
Might be interesting to see what the numbers are in previous years cos it seems like evildoers have seen a cashcow.
"Hope" does not build nations, men and women of integrity do.
Not Rome, not Persia and definitely not mancity. That is God's way of keeping things fresh.
The only way they can recover from the natural state of decomposition is to spend an obscene amount of money again, just like Real Madrid have always done.
Samogloby: If you see all the negative comments above,it shows we have a long year to catch up with the developed countries. They believe everything is politics. It's well
They are tinubu zombies. Don't take them seriously.
They hate anything that's directly or indirectly opposed to tinubu.
casualobserver: PDP will never give him the ticket for the same reason they didn’t give him the ticket in 2023. They know he is unelectable! They know their electorate. Every party wants to win and for a party out of power for so long they will give their ticket to whosoever gives them the best chance of achieving that. They went with Atiku because he was their best chance and they will go with whoever will give them the best chance in 2027….that person won’t be Obi. They even went against their constitution, risked angering Wike and the G5 and splitting their party and you think they will give Obi the ticket? And even if they do, you think the North (despite all the current noise) will see a Tinubu v Obi and vote for Obi? Seriously? If you do you have no business commenting on politics cause you have got a clue!!
The only people still behind Obi are Ibos. Others are turning their backs on him fast. He won’t get the votes he got in 2023 in 2027. Take that to the bank.
I said these things to you before the election when I said the day Obi left PDP that he just handed the presidency to Tinubu…..you responded the same way you are responding now. These things are so blatantly obvious to the dispassionate but you are too emotional to see the blatantly obvious.
Elections are a numbers game not about emotions.
You want an Ibo president?….. look for another Ibo man. One who is credible, one who can get votes outside of the Ibo electorate. The longer you invest your energies in Obi the longer you have to travel to get an Ibo president because when you eventually accept he is unelectable, you will have to then start from fresh with a new guy. If you carry on with this Obi project, don’t be surprised that SS becomes president again before the SE.
Watch this woman. She doesn’t totally get it but she is seeing the evidence. Many of the non Ibos who supported Obi are beginning to feel like this woman. Again if you look at my posts, I predicted this. Many of the non Ibos who supported Obi did so because they wanted a change and he was packaged as that change. They were not discerning enough to see the rough the charade and packaging. Now they are questioning him. Again I had said it many times that Obi’s desire to hug the headlines will be his undoing because his non Ibo supporters will have 4 years to examine him in a manner they weren’t before thee elections and find out he is a charlatan.
What amazes me about this woman and people like her is that while she can recognize that Obi has disappointed her, it’s as if she doesn’t seem to realize he was never the man that was sold to her.
casualobserver: I told you this before the election and if I recall I told you a few days ago. Popular and electable are 2 different things.
Atiku is electable which means with the right circumstances he can be president remote as it may be. Obi is unelectable because there is no circumstance that will result in annObi presidency. You only have to engage your brains and stop thinking emotionally.
He may appeal to you, he may be popular amongst the Ibos but as you have seen that is not enough. The people whose votes he needs are the very people who would rather die than vote for him. That is the definition of unelectable….same fate befell Awolowo.
I have said this many times if you agenda is an Ibo presidency, look for another Ibo man that doesn’t carry his baggage. Nobody has ever become president of Nigeria without broad appeal. Obi does not have broad appeal!
Obi got 6 million votes in a mushroom party winning both lagos and Abuja and 90% of all the military installations across the country.
Tinubu got 8 million with the political machinery of the ruling party, and with heavy rigging including the state that Wike blatantly rigged for him that should have gone to Obi.
Atiku got 7 million votes with the political machinery of the PDP and with some level of rigging too.
Put Obi in the PDP and atiku or tinubu in the labour party, and Obi many have even won the election.
It's your bigotry that made you differentiate between popularity and winning elections. Popular candidates win elections. Simple and Short.
Obi is not awolowo. Obi has obidient supporters across the length and breadth of Nigeria. Obi is a vote magnet.
That is why atiku and PDP's greatest wish is to get him to run with them.
NOETHNICITY: Bro, no matter how much you people would like to package Obi, he is not a brilliant person. He is quite good at quoting stats and telling you how developed other nations are.
But give him the opportunity to articulate his ideas and see him flounder.
Dude was governor of Anambra for Christ’s sake and he failed woefully in that capacity
Someone that has gone through advanced management studies in the best business schools in the world, invited as guest speaker in the same schools, defended his policies vigorously anytime he is called upon, have a grasp of basic economic knowledge suitable for developing countries.
That man is not intelligent?
Your head is not correct.
When Obi was governor, the ruling party was using him as their flagship standard to the point where ben murray bruce was using him as an example on TV. He was winning awards left, right and center from international bodies..
Obi was so effective that he won the IGP most secured state award for five consecutive times. This was a previously ungovernable state where a sitting governor was kidnapped. He was so effective that Evans testified that he ran to lagos because of the pressure that Obi unleashed on criminals.
Obi invested in the socio-economic indices of his state to the point where you can't mention any positive indices among Nigerian states without including anambra in the top 3.
He was so effective that even Jonathan and NOI made him a key member of their economic council while he was governor.
He is a philosopher. Man know thyself. By training, Obi is the epitome of intelligence, self awareness and pragmatism.
NOETHNICITY: Not at all. But Buhari is resolving problems between his people without involving camera, that’s the difference. Obi’s trying to be popular. While others are truly interested in resolving problems. Which is why I think Obi would make a dangerous choice for president because he is a pretentious person. I see through him and his pretense.
Ran into him last week Monday at the airport in Abuja. Seeing how he conducted himself I immediately knew my suspicions were correct
Obi is camera friendly.
Every where he goes he attracts the camera. He is a big fish that cannot be hidden.
It is stupidity to compare a clueless buhari with someone that is regularly invited to give speeches in the best universities in the world.
