I can bet anything that if this policy was created by a PDP govt, tinubu would lead and sponsor protest against it.
Such a duplicitous character cannot lead any unified nation. |

They wanted to spite the democrats and they voted for someone far worse. |

If atiku and obi ran a joint ticket in 2023, tinubu would not be president today. That's a fact. Everybody knew that, except the candidates themselves. Hopefully, they rectify their error in 2027, and save us all these arrogant noisemaking. |

The number one aim of customs is to facilitate trade.
Anything else is secondary.
Record breaking revenues due to increase in the import duties of basic products is not the flex tinubu thinks it is.
They are indirectly taxing the masses who will inevitably pay for the high cost of those goods. |

Politics › Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by CSTRR: 7:51am On Dec 02, 2024 |
Magnumproperty: Jonathan is not Tinubu and Tinubu is not Jonathan. Even you yourself acknowledged Tinubu up there for defeating Tinubu. Remember that in 2003, PDP won all the SW states except Lagos. The political strategies are still there. Let me share you a secret; before Jagaban won 2023 election; he had already planned for 2027. One thing I learnt from his political journey; before you carry out any action, plan ahead for the worst case scenario. That will enable you to block every loopholes. Definitely, Jonathan is not Tinubu. I was only trying to tell you that your north -south argument will not fly. Tinubu may likely win, but not because of any southern loyalty. It would be dependent on the ticket that the opposition throws up. The south is not loyal to tinubu, and neither does he deserves it. His govt does not even look like a southern government. He already destroyed that agreement when he removed Jonathan for a northerner. |
Politics › Re: Ọbabìnrin Adérónkẹ́ Threatens To Break Nigeria If North Kills Tax Reform Bills by CSTRR: 6:16am On Dec 02, 2024 |
Magnumproperty: How will the North wait for him in 2027 elections? When the South is supposed to use 8 years? Which means if the North wants to come back in 2027 they will use just one term instead of two. And believe me they won't want that. And they know that BAT is very stubborn. The worst they can do is what Ndume has been doing in the upper chamber . They will just sit and be watching him all through his 8 years so that they can have their own 8 years in peace. If Jonathan was able to lose re-election to a northern candidate thanks to tinubu, then anybody can. It's just a matter of forming the right opposition. |

They tried it now with we Yorubas, but we are showing you people that we are not gonna accept that. It is fire for fire. We will see who will eventually surrender. Keep up the energy. |

Oshin56: forget about it the bill will scale through the house all those noise will stop nothing To be fair, that's what I expect. Presidents especially in Nigeria, know how to have their way. It will definitely scale through if tinubu wants it to. The north will wait for him in 2027 elections. |

DomPerignon: It's only SE legislators and their governors that are joining the north to kill this bill because just like the north, the SE is a basket case that depends on resources from other Southern states. Keep insulting the SE, you hear. God will punish you, if you later talk of southern unity for your hopeless tinubu. I am glad that Everybody already knows where they stand. Nobody is going to expect support from where he/she did not keep it. If your tinubu can outmaneuver everybody and win, then good luck to him. |
