APC is having a seriously negative effect on Nigeria.

In the history of Nigerian politics, no other governor has sacrificed his political position to ensure that budget are not inflated. When it's far easier to just look away and collect your share.
It's only on nairaland that tinbuu supporters accuse obi of corruption, in a bid to throw portor portor and see which one will stick.
Tinubu and the apc hordes in his circles would not dare accuse obi of corruption, not now and not in 2027. |

Lionessza6: Where and when did you fight in South Africa?😂😂😂. You lead what movement?😂😂😂😂😂 Billions of Nigerian dollars were wasted on the southafrican freedom struggle, funding your rebel movement. Nigeria housed mandela, mbeki and some of your leaders. Nigeria nationalized some foreign companies that were supporting arpatheid. We even missed the 1996 nations cup tournament that was supposed to be hosted in apartheid southafrica. Nigeria were actually the overwhelming favorites to win that trophy after winning the previous one. But we did not go for it in solidarity with black southafrica. It was all a mistake, and we regret it deeply in hindsight. It won't happen again. |

casualobserver: The problem with your people is that you insult everyone and when they respond or call you out you call them bigots! Why everywhere you go it is always you? Why always you?
For the record I stated it (again check my posts). That Tinububin an ideal climate is not the messiah but of the options available he is far ahead of the others. That in itself says a lot about the capacity of the others like I said they couldn’t even manage their own election that was theirs to win.
I have said this many times on Nairaland. The problem with you people is that even when we give you EXPO YOU will still fail exams because you are not driven by rational thinking. I am telling you why you lost and telling you how to win without fear because I know you will make the same errors again. PRIDE Will never allow you to do the right thing.
even try and pretend you like others so we can vote for you. No! You will insult and threaten me and then come back to ask sit to vote for you and then shout and insult when you lose again! Lol. No be juju be that? This is why it is hard for you to be president. A time will come when an Ibo man is president, I can assure you it will not be a man like Peter Obi.
There is a difference between being popular at home and being electable nationally. Stop talking nonsense. The igbo man won Lagos, Abuja, and 10 other states just like tinubu. And he was running in labour party for crying out loud. And that was when tinubu had not already shat the bed with his incompetence, and could garner votes based on preconceived notions of competence before the elections. Since then, Obi has gotten stronger and has more credibility, while tinubu has gotten weaker due to his incompetence as president. Where is tinubu's support base? He has pissed off much of the south and the North. It would take a Maurice -iwu level of rigging for him to win. That much is clear to anybody with a brain that is not analyzing politics based on sentiments. Obi may probably not win, not because he can't on his own merit, but because he is limited by the spread of his political party. If he runs as VP to atiku in the pdp, we will have a new president in 2027. |
Politics › Re: North Moves To Draft Jonathan Into 2027 Presidential Race - THISDAY by CSTRR: 9:10pm On Aug 19, 2024 |
casualobserver: Actually i want him to get as many votes as possible because the more votes he gets, the more he takes away votes from PDP. As someone who wanted Tinubu to win, Obi was never and never will be a probem. The problem always has been and always will be PDP. So long as Obi is in the picture, neither are a problem because Obi's votes are cannibalized PDP votes.
I warned you in 2022, emotional and brainless people like you abused me because you reason with ego not intellect and evidence based analysis. The results vindicated me.
Elections are about 1)numbers and 2) politics
1: Numbers (self explanatory) i said it at the time (now everyone realises it) that Tinubu became president the minute Obi left PDP (check my post history around the dates he left PDP onwards).......you cannot split the opposition and expect to defeat an incumbent. This is simple arithmetic and common sense devoid of emotions or sentiment. It took 5 groups: AD, new PDP, CPC, ANPP aand APGA to wrestle power from Jonathan. You divide yourselves into 3 and think you can defeat an incumbent? Where do they get their brains from? Did they not teach them basic arithmetic in school? You are not even strategic enough to win an election that was yours on a platter and they want to run a country?
2: politics: (how are you perceived, who are the power brokers backing you)
many Ibos have insulted and keep insulting all the major ethnic groups in Nigeria, there is already historical distrust from the North dues to 1966 events, now they have descended on the other southern groups with insults every other day. The problem the ibos have is that the people whose votes the ibos need to be president are the very people they have been calling all sorts of names since 2015 or their is historical distrust due to events of 1966. Lets not forget they say they want to leave Nigeria. nobody is going to vote for a president who is sympathetic to those who want to leave the country. If you want to kill yourselves that is your business but you will find it difficult to find voters from the rest of Nigeria who will vote for people who refuse to condemn or outrightly support those who order the killing of soldiers etc. I dont know why this basic fact eludes you people. I am not going to appoint someone who has sworn to split up my business to head my business or a guest who has vowed to destroy my family into my home.
The only way an ibo man becomes president of Nigeria is with the backing of one of the major parties and it has to be a cosmopolitan ibo man that is acceptable to all sections of the country. He needs either the backing of the North (unlikely) or the overwhelming backing of the middle belt/SS and SW. Either way, the next slot for a fresh southern president is 2037.
My advice to the Ibos is to build fences and tone down their rhetoric and try and play politics with intelligence or else 2037 will come and it will go to the SS and heaven will not fall!!
I will just end by saying you are your own worst enemies. your attitude may work in business but politics is about relationships. if you alienate everyone who votes for you? its been 64 years no elected ibo president. instead of insulting and abusing everyone take some time in your quiet moment and ask what am we doing wrong? .......I have just told you above. You are just a bigoted clown. He takes away from the pdp indeed. And give it to who? Your father, or your family member? So inside all these massive misgovernment that tinubu is dishing out to everybody, you still dey find who go give am vote? So if tinubu wins, what now happens? Will it improve your life by any percentage? You think Nigerians are stupid, or don't know what is good for them like you? Bigot writing nonsense and passing it off as politics. |
Politics › Re: North Moves To Draft Jonathan Into 2027 Presidential Race - THISDAY by CSTRR: 7:37pm On Aug 19, 2024 |
casualobserver: Obi is never becoming president of Nigeria…I don’t think you people understand the politics of Nigeria.
The reason why Jonathan is being considered by some is precisely because they do t want a southerner with a 2 term option.
That alone should tell you that Obi was and is never an option not 2023, not 2027, not 2031, not ever!
There is no pathway that leads to an Obi presidency, not ever! I am not going to sit here and say Tinubu will get a second term but 2 things I am sure of 100%…. Both Atiku and Obi will never be president of Nigeria. They had their sliding door moment in 2023 and they both blew it. Atiku for underestimating and disregarding Obi and Obi for leaving the PDP. That ship has sailed for both of them. Just talking nonsense like a witch. No single basis in reality. You think the whole of Nigeria is your village? If it was left to you, obi would not even get one single vote in 2023. Clown. |

If you can't afford private universities, atleast invest in good secondary schools for your kids.
And a good home tutor. Even If you spend 60% of your income on your child's basic education, it's worth it.
Once the foundation is solid, they can then go on to UI, Unilag, Uniben, UNN of this world and do great things and change your family history.
That foundation is critical. |

NoToPile: Solid analysis Gerrad59
I read it all.
There's always a trend in excellence all things being equal.
Nigeria has good schools, get a good late primary /secondary school for your child, if you have to start saving from their birth please do. Intentional parenting: the schools these children attend matter a lot. Lots of mission and non mission secondary schools are doing so well with these children these days.
I also like the fact that the girls are flying so high.
Good one OP, as a parent I am so inspired. Very true. Any parents that can afford it should send their children to mission or quality private schools. It's an investment that's worth it if they want their kids to fly high academically. Public schools are not it at all. |
