guidelight:Exactly. They can't protest twice. Their own protest is with their votes. |

Kushites:Are you aware that obi was in the UK last two months or thereabouts and had meetings with some UK Labour politicians? Are you this daft in real life? |
. |
. |
LegendHero:It doesn't mean they will support tinubu this time again. They will also protest with their votes in 2027. |
. |
sailor2011:The votes will suddenly appear from the sky. |
Mitsurugi:The world is no longer in the stone age. The quality and quantity of your agricultural output is based on the quality and quantity of your machinery and farming practices and not because you bred like ants. The Netherlands has a population of 17.7M, which is less than the population of any of the majority ethnic group in Nigeria. They have a landmass significantly smaller than Oyo State. But their agricultural exports for 2023 is €124B. Imagine the level of wealth, standard of living and prosperity, if a country has €124b to spend on a population less than 20M people in a year. And that's just from agriculture alone. Almost 10 times what Nigeria made from oil in one year. |
RealityKings:No responsible man in this country should give birth to more than three children. And the third and last child should even be because of a mistake or failure of family planning. |
In 2027, please keep voting for religion or tribe. |
Salewa97:What values? |
What did Nigerians do in response? Elect a man of integrity and proven accountability with the courage and will to do what is right? For where? They elected one of the most corrupt and opaque humans on the african continent to be their president. They gave the yam to the goat. |
Kushites:Obi didnt say he will completely remove subsidy at once. But he will definitely remove subsidy, possibly in phases. Obi is not going to announce it like a lunatic. Obi is going to carry out an accounting of petrol being imported and know the actual value of our imports which would bring down the cost of subsidy if any. Obi is not going to waste scarce resources on private jets, expensive travels, superfluous ministries and ministers or building VP lodge while people suffer. Obi is not going to create ministry of livestock or appoint unnecessary SSAs as political favors who are now feeding fat on scarce resources. Obi will not continue from where buhari stopped, like tinubu. Obi is not going to do many negative things that tinubu has done. Only a lunatic would compare obi's approach to tinubu. They are as different as the day is from the night. |
SULBELL:Football is not an originally African sports. It's an acquired knowledge and we don't have the schools or the football culture to churn out new tactics and styles. The best we can do is to adapt what already works. I can understand weightlifting, but definitely not football. |
helinues:Even if you pick one player each from all the clubs in Spain, they would still play the same way. It's the same culture, either you live in Madrid, Catalunya or Cadiz. |
We can play like Spain or Germany or France. But first we need to go back to the grassroots. Forget about these current generations of players- they are lost. Focus on the U-15. Get all the clubs in the NFL and NPWL to have functioning academies if they don't. Get proper coaches that will drill these U-15 on the fundamentals. Pay Europeans if you have to, while you train your own coaches for the long run. Get them to learn th fundamentals of football. Passing, passing, passing, movement, don't be in a hurry, no unnecessary long balls, pass , pass and more passes, look for the nearest man and pass. Pass and move, keep passing. Let it become a culture at the academies which can then graduate into the main teams of the NFL and NWFL. That's how to change a football culture. |
myk2mic:Garbage in, garbage out. We keep churning out generations and generations of players drilled on bad football culture. That's why we have not even gotten to the semifinals of the female and male world cup ever. |
Go to any football academy in the streets of Nigeria and watch the awful football on display. One or two passes, and all of sudden one idiot has played a long ball to nowhere. Goalkeepers and defenders don't know how to build from the back even at the fundamental street level That's the football that we carry over to the national teams. |
The only African team that played with a European modern football pattern got to the semifinals of the men's world cup. It's not a coincidence. The football culture in Africa is outdated. We need to change our style at the grassroots and it starts with the level of coaching. |
The NFF need to start sending coaches in our male and female leagues to uefa coaching schools. Get an agreement with Spain or France FA to draft our coaches there, and pay them if we have to. We need to work on our football culture and it starts on the level of coaching at the grassroots level. It's not a job for mediocres, unfortunately those are who we elect as sports administrators. Our football culture is outdated. |
myk2mic:It's more deeper than changing coaches. Give those Spanish players, finidi George as a coach and they would still out-pass and out-play Nigeria. It's a football culture that did not start there. It's a fundamental football culture that needs to be worked on at the grassroots level and only the NFF can do that. |
This is why a strong home grown league with a strong football culture is important. It would help your players develop cohesion and will prevent this "kick and follow" football that Nigeria is often playing. |
I understand kenneth's frustration. I truly do. Hopefully, it pushes obi to do what it needs to be done. Run with atiku in 2027. Stoop to conquer. |
Heffalump:He needs to run with atiku. He does not have what it to takes to go head to head with tinubu. He is popular, but he would be rigged out. He needs to add that popularity to the ticket of a shark like atiku. When onanuga was accusing him of sponsoring the protest. He should have claimed it, and dared them to do their worst. The fact that he couldn't tell us all we need to know. He does not have the stomach for dirty politics. |
PortHarcourtcit:Your president was also mentioned in the Pandora case which was not a crime btw, as it was only tax avoidance and not tax evasion. Why are you not mentioning him? |
He is saying Peter obi cannot play the required dirty politics to win. And I agree. Peter obi is too good for Nigeria. Probably wouldn't win in this circus. Which is why he need run under the ticket of a shark like atiku who will do anything to win. Instead of the lunatics on this forum to read deeply, and think about how only bad people seem to be able to govern Nigeria, they would insult themselves and then come back to cry about bad governance. |
A Christian nation blaspheming its own historical faith. |
Tinubu's supporters are buying it cheaper. God forsaken children of perdition. |
