Hi, bro you didn't talk about health care services available for foreigners (blacks). Like their hospital or health insurance services etc
health in china is one of the best and of the cheapest in the world, everything moves rapidly. You can run a blood test and get a result in 20 minutes, hospitals are very clean and well equipped, and they Take proper care of everyone both foreigners and locals. Only disadvantage is the language barrier, and sometimes you’re lucky to meet a doctor who speaks a little English. Insurance is always available and cheap, for students their schools provide insurance for small amount, for workers their jobs compulsorily provides insurance for them. As an individual you can also get insurance for yourself which is not that expensive

Have you guys heard about eating with the dead or celebrating with the dead in the graveyard?

Yes?

Well, chinese practice it.... a time in the year, they cook food, buy drinks etc and enter the graveyard and set table and chairs, close to the grave of the loved one or around there and eat food with the imagination of setting aside one for the dead to join them to eat...
imm guessing you’re talking about tomb sweeping festival?

I'm compelled to correct your blanket statement, not for your sake, but for those who've received offers that contradict your claim. Before making sweeping assertions, let's examine the facts. Have you worked as an ESL teacher before, particularly in a public school setting? If so, what was your compensation package like?

I suspect your experience is limited to private training centers, which differ significantly from public schools in terms of work hours, responsibilities, and remuneration.

Let's not mislead others with such generalizations that " No foreign teacher with ESL certification earns 7k". In reality, public schools offer packages like that, As a matter of fact I just saw an offer of 8,000 kwai per month my agent posted just moments ago. I personally know several ESL teachers from America, New Zealand, and Australia who've embraced these opportunities for the flexibility and work-life balance they provide.

Let's distinguish between private training centers and public schools, acknowledging the unique benefits and compensation structures of each. By doing so, we'll provide accurate guidance for those navigating the ESL teaching landscape in China.
i don’t want to argue with you, I honestly don’t have energy for all that, but please don’t come here to say an American, Australian or even south African accepts a job of 7000rmb, maybe to you and to what you’ve seen 7000 is a relatively good offer, But not to me and to what I have seen, Even those Russians and Ukrainians who aren’t even native speakers earn around 12k for kindergarten, please we don’t need to argue, you feel 7k I.e 950 USD is a good offer then I accept. Thank you

TravelRe: Living In China, Life Lessons And Experiences by cue64(op): 4:27am On Sep 13, 2024

@cue64 I respectfully disagree with your assertion that 7k is a poor offer. While it may not seem like a large salary compared to Western standards, it is actually quite competitive within the context of public schools in China. Many public schools offer salaries in the range of 6k-10k RMB per month, and this often includes free accommodation, meals, and transportation.

Additionally, it's important to consider the cost of living in China when evaluating salary offers. While earning 10k in Shanghai or Beijing may not seem like much, it can actually provide a comfortable living in smaller cities or rural areas where the cost of living is lower.

Overall, it's important to consider the full package of benefits offered, as well as the local context, when evaluating teaching positions in China. This can help provide a more accurate picture of whether a salary offer is fair and competitive.
no foreign teacher with ESL certification earns 7k not even kindergarten teachers in smaller cities, so I know what I mean when I say it’s a poor offer

The contact want me to pay for those documents first.

Will you encourage me to proceed?

Starting range for an ESL Teacher in China is between 7k-10k RMB plus housing and flight ticket reimbursement at the end of the year.

So definitely a good offer, but immigration will only process a Z visa for the countries I listed.
I don’t want to argue honestly so let’s leave it at that, 7k is a poor offer, yes you’re right for the countries you listed, but no one from those countries would come to china to be paid 7 to 10k, just imagine earning 10k in Shanghai or Beijing and you say it’s a good offer..

But my question is why do they hardly approve Zvisa to applicants?
they approve, factors to consider, is the city, Some cities nor really just like us,
The Agent, if you find very reliable agent wey sabi package him work and get contact, and also, his company has good reputation, they’ll give you easily
Lastly, they actually know these days that most of the documents our people provide is not real..

Please my sister recently got English teaching job in China. Please is 7000rmb a good salary and can she sustain herself with that amount monthly though the school will the deduct 2000rmb because they are the one that will pay her flight ticket and also provide accommodation
sorry I’m responding late, this is stupid, the least amount for an English teacher with working visa is 15,000 in some cities and can go as high as 25,000 in some cities it’s either a scam or they want to use her
