Sorry for the delay guys, take my advice, when your mind isn’t straight don’t drive, Bike, car or whatever. I had a bike accident 2days ago and I wasn’t feeling too good that’s why I haven’t updated yet, I’m okay though just a sprained wrist and some few bruises... please bear with me I’ll update as much as possible soon |
chukxie:lol I know what you mean, but let’s keep it on a low ![]() |
This is the popular Xiaobei Lu, on this street you’d find so many black people all Day and a night, there are also so many xinjian people, (the Chinese Muslims) one of the thing that fascinates me about This place is, you see this big bridge and all this big buildings? There is a very big metro underneath, what that means is this bridge and the buildings are standing on top of a hole, and there are people going about and working underneath.. the first time I saw this, something came to my mind, this shows that whatever these people are enjoying right now, they planned like 20-30 years ago, and in 20years from now what they are going to be enjoying, they are currently planning. They just don’t plan and build alone their maintenance culture as well is second to none..

In most shops, super market, marts you’d find this, What it does is as long as you have an Alipay account, and you registered with correct details and ID you don’t need to have your phone to buy Stuff all you have to do is scan your face and the money will be deducted from your Alipay account or the bank card linked to your Alipay account
|
Even though I hate to admit it, I can’t but say you’re right to certain percentage.. |
This is the power box I was talking about. You’d find this virtually everywhere around the cities, all you have to do is scan with your wechat or Alipay and one of it will pop out, when you’re done you just find a similar box and put it back in
|
olioxx:noted thanks |
so these are the bikes I was talking about, in all cities in china you’d find these type of bikes everywhere, in some cities they the same thing but electric, that one you don’t need to stress yourself paddling, they can’t have those in Gz cos There are too many cars and for safety reasons, when you find any all you have to do is scan with your wechat or Alipay and you Can get them and drive as long. As you want and then when you stop you have to lock it so someone else doesn’t pick it up and if anybody picks it up it’s gonna charge you as long as it is open

captainking:the cultism problem is everyday here, it’s even getting too much, yesterday morning I was sleeping when my girlfriend called me to come to their rescue, three Nigerian guys held one of her worker and said they want her to follow them, she said she doesn’t want to go and was crying my girlfriend held her and said she won’t go anywhere with you, they kept dragging her and following them anywhere they went, when the girl called her boyfriend, he came and they started fighting him saying all bunch of nonsense. I had to call the police before they finally left, they look for trouble in clubs and when the people react to them, they start screaming all bunch of nonsense, fighting and spoiling people’s business....Honestly sometimes here I deny being a Nigerian cos the shame is getting too much |
MaxEli:one after the other, we go reach there |
NiklauseFred:yeah same thing I thought about the first time I saw it, but here they have all your details and it’s easy to find you |
Okay this is the picture of the wechat car
|
Most of these things I wrote about I’ll find a way to post the pictures so we can understand better |
They did all this cos GZ if just like a more developed Lagos and it’s a business Hub so there are so many people and a lot of cars trust me if the allow everyone drive cars, they won’t be able to control the traffic, But one thing I love about this people is how they were able to add technology to everything they do, even transportation that’s why I really wanted to talk about this, If your house is far from the nearest metro station with your Alipay or wechat you can easily find Hello bike, mobike or a wechat bike scan the code and the bike unlocks and you can drive to the nearest metro, and you would be charged a little or nothing, they also have one small car called the wechat car, if you have a drivers license you can easily find any of these cars scan the code and drive to wherever you’re going to, and just pack and lock them when you get there, are you also going somewhere and your battery is getting low? You can walk to the nearest shop there are power bank stands almost everywhere, just scan the code with either you wechat and Alipay and you can get one, and find a similar power box anywhere and plug it back in, one thing about this people is they never stop thinking of ways to make life easier for everybody and they keep advancing. |
Transportation and technology in china... Honestly I need pictures to proper illustrate this topic, I walked around the city these few days and took some pictures will I’m still finding a way to reduce the sizes I’ll just talk about them a bit Okay so first of china is a very huge country with so many provinces, I have only lived in 1 province which is Guangdong, and in Guangdong I have lived a bit in Shenzhen and mostly in Guangzhou, so many things I will be talking about will mostly apply to Gz. In GZ like every other cities the normal means of transportation is buses, trains and Taxi, for taxi they have their own ride Hailing company also Called DiDi On thing about Gz is that buying. A car is relatively cheap, but if you’re not from GZ and you need a GZ Number plate, you’d have to spend almost same or even more than the amount u spent buying the car. And if you decide to bring a number plate from your City, then you’d be given number of days to be able to drive your car, maybe 3to 4 days a week. That’s the reason most people just prefer to take the metro and taxis and then you’re going to see a lot of electric bike too, even me I have one ![]() |
afunmmy:i need for iPhone or mac please |
If you’re coming to Guangzhou china for the first time as an African, you don’t need to be scared, even if you don’t know anybody, immediately you comeout from the airport, there are taxis outside, I would have said take the metro but it is very complicated for a first timer, so board any of the Taxis And tell them to take you to Guangyuan West road m, in Chinese Guangyuan XI (shi) Lu, Or Either Xiaobei Lu and Lujing Lu, these places and hotspots where you will find fellow blacks at any time of the day, they are black concentrated areas with black owned businesses, African restaurants, and relatively cheap Hotels. Going from those places to anywhere in Guangzhou is relatively very easy. Tips when getting a taxi at the Airport don’t bargain prices with them just point to their meter and ask them to Use it, going from the airport to any of those places should not cost more than 120rmb toll fees inclusive m, but if you bargain with them they’ll charge u upto 500Rmb cos according to them cheating a foreigner is legal as long as you don’t kill them... I wanted to post pictures to aid a good description of these places but the sizes are to large, I’ll still find a way to resize them though |
papabiz:i did that already it only reduced to 5.2mb |
Bosss73:nobody has an idea yet probably around March next year |
lotex:you need a working visa |
Please does anybody have an idea of any app I. An use to resize pictures? The tori I want to give will not be sweet without pictures and all the pictures I have are well above 7mb |
Jayliang:you might b right on certain instances, but truth be told, they don’t think we are lazy they’ve just been told they are better than us, and the fact that they hardly travel out of their home makes them see things only from their own point of views, they are easily controlled by uniformed opinions and believe anything they see online.. u can only communicate with someone who wants to listen to u, not someone who already feels some type of way just by seeing you.. welcome to the thread and to the forum though |
I still honestly want to update but my eyes are seriously heavy I haven’t slept much for about 3 days now, so please from 2moro Monday I promise to give at least 2 updates a day till there’s nothing to talk about anymore |
I’m trying to post a better and more clearer pictures but the sizes are not allowing me to |
So all in all living anywhere as a black man is not easy and china isn’t any different, but also I don’t blame them sometimes l, the characters of some of our brothers will make you not even like some of them, whatever bad vices you can think of Some Nigerians are doing it here like it’s their home, well if you plan on coming here learn to shun the stigma you’d be placed with for being a Nigerian, and then learn to pay a deaf ear to the racist slurs you’d hear, and the stupid characters they’d show you simply cos you’re black.. Well for me I came here to look for money that’s the first thing and another and the most important thing is the fact that I just wanted to live in a place where things works.. I took this journey here and it hasn’t been easy all through but trust me if anybody ask me that they want come here, I’d advice u to do so without thinking twice, as long as you do so legally, you’d never regret it...pardon the picture quality I went to training I’m typing inside a taxi while going home, I just decided to make some live pictures

Okay an off topic update, yesterday morning, (it’s 5:14 here already) when my girlfriend called me and told me what some Nigerian guys did I quickly rushed down to the club even though that was the time i wanted to sleep, when I go there things were already calm but someone had called the police, so we had to leave. I told everyone to leave and o thought we all left only to wake up later and I got a call that there was another big fight outside the club, Nigerians fighting over some stupid reasons, and it was so big that it stopped traffic on the road and then people started recording videos and all then police came back, now the club has a problem. Living here sometimes I just feel so ashamed to ever identify that I am a nigerian honestly, cos the behave of some of our brothers is really disgusting, but it is what it is... |
akoredebaba1:bro regardless of whatever happens here please let’s keep it civil and matured none of us are kids and we don’t need the insults. Thanks |
just some random pictures to keep us before an update
|
chukxie:thanks bro Good luck to you too |
Hadampson:my brother this life for china nor easy oh so nor blame anybody the stress gets to all of us in due time, I won’t promise much sha but make I try my best |
Hadampson:lol if nah picture u want, just wait make finish the nonsense I wan write, you sef go complain say e don do |
One of the lessons I have learnt this year, living in china is, to be honest it is more profitable to be friends with other African nationals than being friends with fellow Nigerians,m. Don’t get me wrong, there are very kind and responsible Nigerians here too, but the most you’d meet will be the bad ones, and if your really want to stay out of trouble then try as much as post to stay away from them, some of them have been here for more 12years with nothing to write home about, so they ultimately want same for anybody that becomes friends with them. And another thing is here I have hardly found people from other African countries overstay their visa, a trend which is very common among Nigerians, and being friends with these other Africans opened my eyes to the fact that there so many ways you can exploit to legalize your stay here even if you came with a single entry business visa. Some Nigerians know this but they wouldn’t tell you cos they overstayed and wants you to overstay too, this is one of the reasons why it is difficult for Nigerians to get visa to anywhere in the world. Another thing is there are easy avenues to make pocket money here in china which I can’t really write here, and I didn’t know of all this till I became friends with these people, the money might not come very big but trust me it will keep you afloat till the big one comes, so many of our brothers wants the money very big and fast as such they don’t want to do all this they just want something to bring the bing money very fast.. so many are in prison now and the ones who luckily escaped cannot come back here. There are easy money here and the can come fast too but the end might not be very sweet. Remember Chinese people don’t like you so if you ever find yourself on their wrong side, you’re a goner.... Attached is the view from my Window this evening ![]()
