Can i apply for her now? or i must get to canada before i do that? my spouse will use her job as home ties as we already applied for one year leave of absence is this feassible? as per the Proof of Funds shud it be in her account or in mine? presently i have 6m naira in mine and 1m in hers and i also have a graduate research assistant offer of 18k cad per year (10k from supervisor and 8k from dept) please advise accordingly. Hi guys,
Should I answer yes in both questions below or just the first one? I have had previous visa denials.
1. ever been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?
2. ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?
Thank you. |

oyinyen: hi, please can anyone assist on how to reapply on Saskatchewan oasis. previous application was ineligible because my NOC didn't tally with JD. Find the NOC that matches your JD and reapply. Do not change your JD though, they have that information already, and any alteration might result to a ban. |

xyxy06: Hello everyone, Am new here i need your help, have made some bad decisions using an agent for traveling, i applied to Canada (student visa) through an agent who ask me to send my siblings/children names and dob which i did and he said that he would not list all my siblings because the sponsor is my dad that it going to raise a red flag so he listed 3 instead of 5 still i was denied visa, so he applied for US again but this time he said since i don’t have travel history that he is going to help put one Africa country which he put the stamp on my old passport and US visa was still denied so i stop working with him 3 years ago, a friend of my introduce me to express entry and said i can do it myself that i should check nairaland for help...SO PLEASE EVERYONE I NEED HELP So has am gathering all documents I decided to other gcms to know what went wrong with my application then, lo and behold i saw it in my gcms note that I don’t have kids. -Please house what can i do to avoid being ban for misinterpretation because i would like to add my kids to application and list all my siblings -Please as for the fake sticker it on my old passport not the one am applying with i intend not to add it to my travel history but am scared USA and Canada might share information...please help me gurus and everyone in the house To be honest with you, your situation is dire. I don’t think you can go through with Express Entry without having issues. You stated that your agent only wrote down 3 of 5 of your siblings. Express entry requires you to fill out a Family Information Form. Will you be including those other 2 siblings now? What happens when either one of those siblings lists you out on their own future applications as a sibling. How do you explain that discrepancy? Forging an immigration stamp is a criminal offense but that’s not even the biggest problem here. Unless you plan on leaving your children in Nigeria, I don’t think your application will be successful. Even if you exclude them from the application and it is successful, what happens when you want to bring them to Canada later? You’ll just magically have grown children that you’ve never listed on an application. What you’ve done amounts to fraud. It’s unfortunate. Another option is to just tell the truth on your application. If asked for explanation, explain in detail what happened. |

Hi guys.
Do I need to add pay stubs and account statement along with my reference letter, or only the reference letter for my PR application?
Thank you. |

Sulee23: If you are claiming point of it as part of the 3years work experience, yes you need it. If the noc you are claiming in your application is 3years, then it is irrelevant. Thank you very much ma |

Blema111: My program is online but I also recieved a letter of support to travel from my school. Getting to Cotonou wasn’t that difficult. There was several checkpoints though but we passed through them on a low key. It’s about planning yourself if you intend to go through that route. They asked why I was traveling since my classes are online, I just showed them my letter of support and that ended the discussion. Thank you for your response. I have been trying to get on a flight from Nigeria, but to no avail. I guess I will have to go the Cotonou as well. |

Blema111: Wanted to drop my soft landing epistle but the strength to type is something else. I’m lazy when it comes to typing.
To cut the long story short, I arrived Canada today via Cotonou and it was quite stressful and interesting. Immigration wasted my time and made me lose my flight. That’s all.
I’m available for questions. To all AIPs, congratulations. To all those awaiting approvals, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. You shouldn’t give up. Congratulations. Is your program online or hybrid? Was it difficult to get to Cotonou? Any issues from the Canadian border agents? Thank you. |

Mysine: Good morning house, please I have a question, I got married in Nov 2019 and I have a visitor visa till May 2021. He has a PR and we submitted a PR application in April. We just heard about the open work permit and we were wondering if it is possible to submit an open work permit pending the approval of the PR. I intend to join him fully in October. Since you have a visitor visa, go to Canada and apply for a work permit when you get there. You will get it much faster that way. |

oma22: Abeg you and your cohorts should go and sit down! This thread is for prospective Canadian students to share info and lot for bitter people that they denied! Nigerians are too entitled for my liking. CIC does not owe you visa, if u apply and get, fine! If u don’t, reapply or try another country. Don’t come here and be talking rubbish. Every Nigerian student apply for Canadian study permit is not on Nairaland, the people on Nairaland are not even up to 10% of Nigerians applying. So the fact that people on Nairaland have been getting rejections of recent does not mean Canada does not want you or there system is not working. People will always quarrel when things don’t go their way! If u got visa now u wil say the system works, bro abeg let’s hear word. People are getting study permit from Nigeria everyday. People are are getting PR everyday. If u are not here to share info go to another thread and don’t bring negativity here.
Thanks. Your view is something else! My study permit was approved on the 17th of March for Fall 2020. My husband also applied for his Open Work Permit in a joint application and was approved too. One time. Never applied before and we got it in one try. I have not had a bad experience with IRCC but I’ll still say that they have not been transparent enough with the study permit process. I have read enough experiences to come to this conclusion. None of the visa processes is transparent for Africans. Every year we are denied for reasons that don’t make sense. People are told they don’t have sufficient funds even when they’ve shown evidence they do. Some are denied for not having home ties even when leaving a husband and children behind. If we’re going to be denied, we need more than a generic reason. Visa applications are a racket in case you don’t know. Visa fees are a significant portion of revenue for consulates and embassies around the world. About 81% of applications from Nigeria are denied! You can’t tell me it’s unfair for people to be upset and bitter. Here’s a link for more clarity. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/qz.com/africa/1708714/canada-rejects-most-african-student-visa-applicants/amp/ |

123abcclown: Canada study visa application is HARD!
You can do everything right and still not get it.
But for the issue of finance, all you have to do is pay full tuition or half tuition. Don't have your sponsor write bogus letter, not a lot of people care about their worth. For employment prospects, have a job, provide your bank statement, pay stub, and a little money in your account. For ties to Nigeria: Show business links, property, a thriving career. For ties to Canada: Make your SOP address why you want to study in Canada, don't flaunt your links to Canada, or anywhere out of Nigeria.
My simple advice, show you are a high value individual and cover all the requirement....not the ones above, the ones on the CIC website. |
