Currently, Nigeria economy is in a very serious problem because of uncertainty surrounding world oil price.
Transcorp is deeply involved in this oil conundrum ,remember they have an oil rig which is yet to be developed. They have debt with some bank and depends on foreign exchange to finance some of their imports which is used for raw materials for their finished products ie fruit concentrate, tourism industries will perform very poor in 2016 because of customers weak purchasing power hence the revenue in their hotel industry will drop drastically.
Nevertheless, follow the best strategy that works for you.
My target for transcorp in 2016 is less than 1 naira. It sounds funny but that is the bitter truth.

Jorel1, yes I expect a trader to have reasonable amount to trade with otherwise the trader should stick to demo till he/she has the required capital. This is because psychology plays a big role in this business. And yes for me it's business so I approach it as such. Making $2 off of $200 per day has a completely different psychological impact from making $200 from $20,000 per day. Remember we are talking 1%.

And you should not have high blood pressure if you are only risking about 1%, risking too much is what makes you develop high BP. And when you are well diversified then the risk of high BP is further diminished. And I don't see how trading once a day is over trading. My specialty is the US dollar and I only make one call a day for EU, UJ, GU and sometimes I throw in GJ.

I was a banker for a short period of time in Nigeria with Skye bank years back, so yes I know what you mean. A lot of folks just found it hard to understand the rationale when I decided to 'play for the team I own' and leave Bank of America. Some advised me to keep the job and continue my 'FXing' but I just said to myself that only if they knew the potential. I left BofA because of the opportunity cost of working for the bank. I was losing out on the opportunity of making much more than the bank was paying me.

These days I just do my analyses, trade FX, hit the gym, hit the parks when others are at work laboring away, do some volunteer work and then invest in some low risk investment vehicles such as raw land, bonds, treasury bills, and even CDs . It's always good to have a well diversified portfolio and not be like the Nigerian government that only depends on oil.
