2. Shingles

The remote cause of Singles is a virus called Herpes Zoster. It is this same virus that causes chicken pox. Shingles attacks the nerves that provide sensation to the human skin; and when you are done curing chicken pox, it is believed that the virus is sent to lay dormant in the roots of the nerve. At this point in some persons, it will never come up again as Shingles, but in times of over stressed or in persons with compromised immune system, it can present once again.

Whenever Shingles strikes, it results in pains along the nerves especially the lumbar nerves in your lower back; and you will notice that blisters are formed in that area as well. It is important for us to understand that Shingles cannot be transferred to others, but chicken pox cab be spread to other people who never had chicken pox before or who have not been vaccinated for it. It advisable to see your doctor if you believe you is suffering from Shingles.

3. Bone or Disc Infection

Bacterial infections of the discs or bones in the spine are extremely rare, but they can happen. Tuberculosis in the spine, which is called Pott's disease, is possible to contract.

In the same vein, contracting Brucellosis infection which affects the Sacroiliac joints (SI joints) in the pelvis is very possible. Brucellosis infection is said to be usually contracted from drinking goat milk, however, it is extremely rare.

Generally, bacterial infections of bones or discs are very rare and usually quite serious. These are usually treated with an extensive antibiotic plan.

4. Paget's Disease

As at today, no one knows the real causes of Paget's disease, but it involves unusual growth of bone and variations in the human bone density. It is been proven to affect older people more than younger people.

An X-ray is usually used to diagnose Paget's disease which will expose the unusual bone growths; however, such X-ray result has to be verified by a biopsy.

The only available treatment for Paget's disease at the moment is pain killers which help in managing the pain and other prescriptions to slow the growth of the bones and stunt to progression of Paget's disease.

5. Aneurysm of the Aorta

Just the same way bulging disc is able to cause back pain, an aneurysm of the aorta has the potency to cause the walls of the aorta to bulge outward thereby causing back pains. In so many cases this will never result in any symptoms at all, however, when it bulges in a particular direction it puts pressure to the spinal nerves and result in back pains.

6. Bad posture

Using bad posture and poor body mechanics while performing the activities of daily life such as lifting a heavy object without bending at the knees, which causes you to use your back instead of your legs can cause back pains.

7. Prolonged standing

Low back strains are very common occurrence, they happen when some muscles are overstretched or torn. Muscle strains occur when a sudden force, pull or twist is applied to the muscles in the back resulting in pain.

9. Ligamentous Sprains

This is also common cause of back pains, and they happen when the ligaments holding bones together are torn from their attachments. Sprains happen with quick, unexpected movements.

10. Painful Degenerative Discs

This is another cause of back pain. Recall that the discs act as cushions in-between the vertebrae in your spine. As humans begin to grow older, these discs also become thinner thereby losing some of their shock absorbing potency. With less cushioning, this can lead to pain.

11. Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis can cause weak bones and can lead to fractures, known as compression fractures, which result in very uncomfortable back pain.

This occurs when osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis) causes a breakdown of the cartilage between the facet joints (small joints in the back). When the joints move, the lack of the cartilage causes pain as well as loss of motion and stiffness. This pain is usually more pronounced first thing in the morning and later in the day.

12. Herniated/Ruptured Discs

Herniated/ruptured discs lead to back pain. The gelatinous material inside a disk may protrude or rupture and pinch a nerve; and whenever such thing happens, it results in a condition commonly refer to as "Sciatica" occurs. This results when the herniated disc presses on the main nerve that travels down your leg and causes pain to radiate from the buttock down the back of the leg.

13. Spinal Stenosis

Another cause of back pains is Spinal Stenosis. When humans gets above the age of 50, arthritis in the spine leads to the narrowing of the spinal canal thereby compressing nerves within the canal. The compression of the nerves can lead to pain and numbness in the legs.

14. Spondylolisthesis

This is a condition where a vertebra in the spine slips out of place, causing pain. When one vertebra slips forward over the one beneath, the spinal canal becomes narrower. Now with limited room to function in their natural position, the spinal cord and nerves begin to irritate one another and inflamed which causes painful symptoms.

A Facebook user on evening of 23rd of October 2020 revealed to the world a rare Nigerian police officer by name DPO Rabiu Garba, who is in charge of Fegge police station as a good product which sell itself.

A Facebook group published testimonies of many people who might in one way or another came in contact with DPO Rabiu Garba.

Do you know that his good character made some of the hoodlums that are destroying and burning things not to burn down his station or deal with him as they are dealing with other DPO's across other state?

This is what someone said about him that triggered other people's reactions.

"People says police is not your friend but, in this man, I disagree with that notion. In him, I immensely believe that police is a friend when you meet a good one". Yesterday the youths were looking for police stations to burn down, when they troop to his Fegge Police Station with gallons of fuel and weapons, policemen all deserted the station but the DPO remained.

As soon as he came out, the chants of the angry youths changed from "we no go agree oh we no go agree oh" to "DPO Garba you're a good police man, DPO Garba you're a good police man".

The poster went ahead and congratulate the DPO because of his kind gesture. He wrote, "Congratulations Rabiu Garba. Maybe by now it would have been a different story but your kind gestures spoke and defended you in trial time".

The APC Politicians in Edo State are wise and are very smart in their judgment of the prevailing political crisis rocking the state

The Edo State APC calculated very well by showning it in their lifting of Oshiomhole,s suspension.

Recall that they showed Oshiomhole that they are bigger than him no matter the position he has attained in the party and in Nigeria,s pokitics as the national chairman of the ruling party, APC.

They did that by suspending him from the State chapter of the said party, thereby rendering him baseless.

You will remember that Oshiomhole problem in APC began when the Edo state chapter of APC suspended him from party, and went ahead to challenge why Oshiomole should still be recognized as the National chairman, when he was not a member of APC in Edo state where he hails from.

To them, it indicates that Mr. Oshiomole has no home or base.

Do you know that all these were masterminded by the Edo state incumbent Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

Mr. Obaseki did this to subdue Oshiomhole powers in Edo state politics.

But things worked anticlockwise when both Oshiomhole and Obaseki lost the battle of the leadership of Edo APC.

When this happened, the APC elders/leaders in Edo state quickly realized that, whenever two elephants fights, it is the grasses that suffers the negative effects and imparts.

They also realized that as long as Mr. Godwin Obaseki has decamped from APC, and Oshiomhole not politically active due to suspension, unavoidably, they are not anyy relevant politically in Nigeria.

In wisdom they weighed the following two options at their disposal:

1. Go along with Obaseki to join PDP thereby starting politics from scratch again.

2. Forgive Adams Oshiomhole, and lift his suspension and remain politically relevant.

Having wisely and smartly weighed these two options, they chose the one that will favor them .

Friends, this is the sole reason for lifting of Oshiomhole suspension by Edo state APC.

With this, Oshiomhole will soon bounce back to relevance and regain his lost glory as the national chairman of the ruling party, APC.

But, how long will Oshiomole and Obaseki's feud continue; I admonish both of them to put their hands on the desk and resolve their differences.

It is just a matter of pride, none of the duo wants to humble himself.

A new footage has emerged showing the moment George Floyd was pulled from vehicle and placed in handcuffs in Minneapolis.


It shows the moment George Floyd was pulled from his car by officers during his arrest, moments before he lost consciousness and died after a white officer kneeled on his neck for five minutes during an altercation.


Floyd passed out after officers arrested him on Monday for allegedly trying to use forged documents at a local deli. He later died in hospital in an incident which has sparked outrage across the US and prompted thousands to protesters to take to the streets.


The new video shows the moment Floyd was forcibly removed from his vehicle by two officers from the Minneapolis Police Department and manhandled as he was placed in handcuffs on 38th and Chicago.


The footage, obtained by FOX 9, shows officers wrestling with Floyd as they attempt to place him in handcuffs.




Floyd is handcuffed in the footage and appears to be complying with the officers as they escort him to the waiting police car. A police statement following the incident alleged that Floyd had physically resisted arrest.


Moments later the 46-year-old was pinned to the floor by an officer and in disturbing footage can be heard pleading with the cop to stop, saying 'please, please, I can't breathe' and 'My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Everything hurts.'


Witnesses at the scene urged the officer to stop, with one pointing out that the suspect was not resisting arrest.


Four members of the Minneapolis Police Department who were involved in Monday's incident have now been fired, and the FBI and state law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into the man's death.

Residents of Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsea were shocked to see the harm done to 37-year-old Sarah by her frustrated husband

Mr John. Mr John Udoka 45, was reported to have beaten up the wife to pulp because she took more than one meat from the soup pot as they eat in the evening, he said he had told her to remain one meat for the next morning, on going there to check he discovered that the meat was not there, and she denied eating it.

The woman who was seen crying and screaming for help as the husband launched punches on her face.

The Residence however complained that there could be more to the quarrel than just a mere meat from the soup pot.
