At what wattage is the 200°C that surprisingly cook fast please? Make see if I fit join this train. grin
It only displays temperature for that option. However, I just successfully cooked my first beans with it at max temperature which is 270°C.

Max rating is 1800w, so I guess it should be at about that.

Took about an hour to cook 5 cups of beans.

Mama Home and Fouani go dey wonder why orders are suddenly spiking... grin

what's the default cooking?

I use midea. Whenever I turn it on, the default starts at 1600w and it's adjustable including the timer.
Yes the default option here is 'Fry' which is rated in temperature instead of wattage. Following your recommendation, I had to set to 200 degrees and adjust the timer to my taste which surprisingly cooks fast. Thanks.

The mama home's is growing on me, now I can confidently recommend it!

Finally figured it out @zenith4biz

Steam, fry and pancake are all adjustable, the rest are preset
Fry adjusts based on temperature (I don't fully understand that yet), Steam wattage is adjustable but not timer (I can't control when it shuts off), pancake is adjustable, but maximum is 1,200w. This is basically the only option that is usable for me say I want to cook beans for instance. But I want more than 1200w. At least 1,500w.

Or is it my unit? Please help me confirm coz on Maxi I have full control of everything.

I think following several complaints via several channels, the night issue seems to have mostly died on my end. I even mistakenly subbed 'the other way' sim and that one has been serving well. Not that the night issue has totally stopped but I can't recall the last time it happened. Airtel basically became better here.
My night issue is usually unstable. The previous sub didn't come with night issue, but this one did. It's been 1 month in, and out.

No matter how hard you try to understand, you really can't make sense of Airtel and their Shenanigans.

Choose steam, the wattage is adjustable to 200w and I think fry too

The hack is choose a preset and try to adjust the wattage. I do use steam
Ok will try that and revert. Thanks.

Just received delivery for the Mama Home Induction cooker...

Mama home's is smaller compared to Maxi's, my pot literally almost covered the entire glass top

It feels really cheap, talking about weight and build quality.

The buttons are physical press buttons compared to Maxi's touch buttons.

Overall, in terms of quality, Maxi is far ahead of this thing, but it's understandable due to price difference. We'll put it to test to know how it performs.
First Statement is not true. Glass surface area is smaller but overall, the cook top is basically the same size.

Surprisingly the physical buttons are great and responds well. Runs cool too.

However, I noticed that it mostly comes with preset modes and unfortunately, I can't adjust wattage and timer for any one of them. I'm literally stuck with the timer given for each cook mode thereby making it impossible for me to use unlike Maxi's.

@zenith4biz I'll be needing your help with this. How do I manually set custom cooking mode with adjustable timer and wattage?

Not sure it works that way. Except it's for tenant rentage, you ought not worry much abi shey you no go live inside the house ?

Doubt this current slates are exactly the ones we read about long ago. Slates are about at least 4,500 naira a piece. If you fear breakAge, which is understandable, even other kind of roofing sheets have their own CONs also.
If you can't afford quality thick roofing sheets, your better choice remains SLATEs.

unFortunately, the higher quality ones, are far far out of reach to even some comfortably rich people. Even to afford slates and thin Aluminium roofing sheets sef na turmoil. To roof common 3 bedroom, you no go know when you go don spend over 1.2 million naira on just Slates alone. We never add wood Ooo (even if na those cheap skinny ones). Abeg do wetin you fit do abeg.

it's quite easy for people wey never enter before to advice + give suggestions. Mind you, @mctfopt and @CuteMaro, the adjacent comment is nothing but a general comment
I don't think you have an idea about the health hazards of asbestos. Please try to do some research before making snide comments.

The infrared cooker is great, but when it comes to power efficiency and speed, the induction cooker tops.

I think for an average Nigerian home, the infrared cooker will be more appreciated due to versatility, however the induction cooker is a newer tech and will eventually replace the infrared with more adoption.

This stuff boils water in seconds. I was trying to demonstrate to someone how fast it was, I didn't expect it to start boiling almost immediately lol. Already placed order for the Mama home one too. Will be needing that in another location.

Ok, I am not familiar with this type of your ‘infrared’ cooker, does it have a power regulator and other touch buttons. My inverter indicates a lesser a stable wattage than the one set on the cooker. If I set it at 800w, it will be showing below 700w on the inverter and it will not be fluctuating. At 1000w, it will be consuming below 900w on the inverter.

Topper33:
Guys, Please what are your take on this:

So i have been following this tread for some time and from poplular recommendations to others , I was convinced and then I ordered and received a 3.2kwh battery from a buider on this forum. The delivery was fast, no delays. Although the set did not come with any accessories, no baterries cable etc . This was as stated by the builder. ....(only the battery box in a plastic build with a small bms screen and a button). All as advertised. So no issues there. This setup cost #550k (delivery inclusive). All i got in addition was the waybill receipt

The truth is, my friend who ordered for a 26.5v(100Ah) itel 2.5kwh battery, received theirs yesterday:
To my supprise, the itel battery Bank alone was 2.5 to 3 times heavier than mine, the setup was built in a solid steel housing case, has 3 internet communication ports, and 3 other advanced looking ports. Came with ALL the comm ports cables, also came with two 20 mm solid +/- battery cables , 3 year warrenty card, thick steel wall brackets, metallic wall screws, some addtional bolts and nuts and many more.
And all this cost #481k (including delivery fee).

Now I know why people crave the itel battery pack.

Although I have to say I over expected much for mine, but the person i bought mine from did not give me the kind of attention(as a first time customer as i would have wanted) the response sometimes was quite slow (had to literally push for any information with response coming anything it comes) no step by step on how to do much. I had to ask about value to set for bulk and float etc, Had to push and ask or most times google some stuff on my own. (I am not saying the seller did anything wrong o) but sincerly I dont think I may patronise the person in the future.I like my business partners to be approacheable irrespective of the value or amount involved in the trade......(my choice)

So, the itel on the other had virtually a full hands on manual that explains EVERYTHING you can do, clearly defined warranty card and many more quality of life stuffs you know.....

Although, I for one became a bit skeptical about the build i received (when i recall the itel heavy weight and quality) but everytime i checked the jk bms app, i showed all the cells adds up to 3.2kwh (see image). Even still, my mind still tells me I should have gone with the Itel due to its solid built, wall handing capability, solid customer and aftersales support, the quality of work and support it has.
(I thought going for "3.2kwh" was better than "2.5kwh" so i had to stop my initial itel order for the local build).

Its well sha

Forgive me for my long epistle...Just wanted to air my thoughts man.

Thanks Guys
While your feelings are valid, 550k for 3.2kwh is not a bad deal at all. You get more capacity which you can confirm from the bms app. Can you confirm if the Itel bank holds up actual stated capacity?

Plastic and Steel casing surely won't have the same weight, reason for the significantly heavier weight of the Itel pack. Truth is, buying from local builders might come with some trade-offs, but what is sure is actual capacity per $ is guaranteed which is very important.

It all depends on what you actually want, more back up or features and aesthetics? as long as it isn't a case of what I ordered vs what I got, I don't think you have any issues.

Always remember to do more research before making your final decisions. Don't take anybody's word for it.

well, all of you suggesting to this guy to install a full solar setup worth millions in a store for charging of phones? Hmmm

To me, I think he should install a solar system that’s a little bit mobile than a full solar setup, make person no come cry for here say him shop has been burgled.

My suggestion, 3.4kwh colar solar generator and install 2 620w panels on your roof and manage your load. There’s also the plus version of the cola 3.4kwh with 2000w output.

If you close for the day, carry you solar generator dey go your house, you fit risk leaving panels for them.
Supported. Coz at the end of the day you might just be bringing unnecessary attention to yourself on top phone charging business.
PhonesRe: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by CuteMaro(m): 6:30pm On Apr 05
Your experience with Airtel can differ based on different factors and from experience it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how good or bad network is in your area. Go online, almost everywhere there is complaint. It is a very common thing so repeating it isn't generalizing but rather a statement of fact.

I once sold my Starlink because I thought Airtel was a far better deal for my work, however there was a time I was so frustrated I had to buy a second Starlink due to network issues. In fact, when I checked my dm with Airtel reps on Twitter, I noticed that for more than 1yr+ I have been in contact with them complaining of the same issues almost every 2 wks. That's just insane.

That being said, my experience with the ODU so far has been relatively fair, if you can be patient for the 1 or 2 days of downtime then you won't mind, however if your job is such that you can't deal with such then it's not for you, because surely, they will hit u when less expected.

Although the 25k ODU plan is a great deal, it doesn't take away the fact that Airtel is an unreliable network. If you have the option for Mtn FiberX, go for it, that one has less downtimes and a relatively more stable speed throughout the day.

Guys, I have eventually gotten Deriy 3.6kwh Battery and Haisic 1.5kva from the ever reliable Dam5reey1 to begin my solar journey. My question is can I get a jinko 535 watt for a start and what other components do I need aside from the Battery & Inverter? PS My load is just 55 inch TV, 110 watt freezer & 2 fans. Also, is it advisable to use 5k stabilizer to charge the inverter since the electricity in my area is kinda low.
Yes you can charge with 5kva stabilizer.

Meet an installer to give you quote of wire and breakers and installation. If you can, get 2 of those panels, would serve better.

Ok boss, so your original question is you want to upgrade your inverter and add an additional battery? Right?

Try finding out your load profile, stating your budget would also do well to help with recommendations.

For those batteries I am not very sure, please give more information on their sizes and connection.
