So ascribing an isolated case to an OS as a bug without doing proper research works for you? Seems you didn't read the comments.

If you are d only one experiencing a particular bug, it is safe to mention it and find solutions than coming here to state confidently that it is an OS ish in a bid to ridicule.

It started with Notification toggles on lock screen. They said its miui but here on Android one Infinix Note 5 its present.

Now WhatsApp issue which someone clearly stated that its related to pie.

The 48mp camera ish was brought up and thank God Camera was from 'Sammy'.

Only one thing is obvious here, and that is lack of proper research b4 making assertions. And I still stand with the fact that most people that point out Non existent bugs are Non users. Meanwhile I am not saying miui is bugfree. No OS is.

Some people don't research, I won't blame them though. But if they see this same sensor on the S10 or the A series or any other flagship it becomes something great in there eyes.

The worst even is most of them don't own a xiaomi device but they can confidently tell you all the bugs on miui most of which are not existent.

Please people should do more research before offering their opinions to avoid misleading people.

I have never experienced any issues with my WhatsApp. Like someone rightly pointed out, it could be exclusive to devices running on pie coz right here on Oreo I haven't seen that WhatsApp bug.

As for video player, go to settings and open installed apps. Click top right, ull see default apps, change to ur desired video player, viola
At the end, because u don't like certain things about miui doesn't make it buggy. For i hate stock Android, but doesn't mean that it's buggy.

The carry to wake feature is half baked..
Phone was in my pocket and the song was changing I felt it was my earpiece.. as I held the phone I just saw d screen on..
I turned It off.. shaked d phone small the screen came on... I turned off d feature sharply..

It reminds me of TTPOD player back in the day.. when you put the shake to change song feature to very sensitive..

Damn.. TTPOD used to be Bea.. legend.. make I go check Weda e still dey updated self..

Check if there's a pocket mode.
On miglobe rom which i use there's a pocket mode, screen doesn't turn on while in the pocket meanwhile the 'carry to wake' is a different feature here but its very sensitive.

For the Gallery hide ..go to ur gallery..go to the Album side..den pull it down and hold for like 2sec...den add fingerprint or Password...buh the best to hide both Video,file , picture or anything is from ur file manager...jus enta File manager and pull it down and hol for lemme say 2 sec...dats the most secure way

Faceunlock- works at anytime of day day. Low light ..half light. Medium light. Semi bright light. ..just turn up your brightness to d max and voilaa unlocked.. 100% success rate

Snapchat video. With filters no lag. Dey gonna think u using an s7 or s8 or s9.. cause it's smooth ..just like on iPhones.

Phone calls.. having ish with this. Sometimes dat little floating shit doesn't work . It won't pick d call. Until u lock it and pick d call from der minor glitch tho

Camera is superb.. better Dan any tecno phone I've seen. I've seen all except d phantom. Nd c11

Multitasking is amazing it holds apps well.. it won't hold 10+ oh.. but it's amazing Sha..

Brightness.. it's lovely. Very very lovely. .they sacrificed a lot of colour on dis phone.. like colours aren't sharp oh.. but d white.. damnnnnnn.. oh sharp gannn.. u can use this under direct sun light no hitch no need to be covering it from d sun so u can see well..

Sound.. no bass. Just loud. If u have heard music on d camon cx B4 it's like dat but d cx still better a bit..

Earpiece. They did an amazing job with this. Any earpiece u stick into it becomes a beast.. any at all. Sound production becomes wow.. I am just wondering how an original earpiece would sound with it. I bought an old earpiece for 800. U need to head it boom boom like a car stereo..

Battery life.. pressing d phone u can go 7 hours plus. With data on.

Glo 4g.. haven't seen it.

Network settings.. even on 3g preferred it still changes to edge.. and am using glo. Imagine.. 2g glo. U need to put on airplane and back B4 it might turn back.

Gallery hide.. yes it has one.. yes I hid some pictures.. yes I don't know how to locate the pictures again.. yes I have tried YouTube but am using glo.. . I know I'll figure it out tho. I saw how dey were describing it on with a little Gif.. but sense will not kill me I press skip.. so guys I need help on dat.

Space after installing apps.. I still have 32gb left installed some games and transferd everything on my old phone back .. it won't reach so I'll invest in a memory card soon. 64gb preferably for images pictures.. and d rest.nwhile internal is for gaming... Yeah am a gamer.

For better color calibrations, head to settings, display and adjust manually to the perfect one.

If you use gcam pics sizes are usually within 1-2mb with better quality & dynamic range.

The Inbuilt music app is not doing justice to the power of the phone speaker.. use google music and adjust ur equalizer and get d rich sound of life including bass.. or you can use viperfx and stick to stuck music app and enjoy an even better sound although u'll be needing root privileges for this.

True for the face unlock, sometimes even when I'm barely looking. It's super fast and accurate 4 me so far.

miui 10.2.1.0 comes with a fix for notifications on status bar for notched devices. Redmi 6 pro & note6pro users can now have rest of mind.

Damn! Guys I went to hell and came back unburnt, ama never doing all these modding stuffs again.
Remember its not being up to 2 months I bought my redmi 6 pro with the Chinese ROM, that curiosity kicked in and I decided to tinker with my phone, I just wanted to unlock the bootloader only but after unlocking it, rooting and installing custom recovery and co started calling.. that was how I mistakenly wiped all my system files that the recovery wrote no OS to boot into; it actually means that am in the soft brick gallery but I had little luck, my bootloader is unlocked and all drivers are intact and even USB debugging was on though I don't know whether it will have any effect. My phone now cycles between fastboot to twrp recovery and noting more. I didn't want to install any custom ROM cos of its bugs. I started searching, saw one rom that they said it is global MIUI v10 but flashable through recovery, I tried, it failed because the recovery wrote that it is for Ceres or so which is redmi 6 not 6 pro. Hmm! I've entered panic mode, went to xiaomi site and saw Indian global flashable through fastboot, downloaded and when I tried flashing using miflash tool, mismatch error, I went online and saw so many stuffs about editing the flash_all.bat files, didn't see any need taking such risk since most people reported the method bricked their phone. All these ROMs are not less than 1.5GB, oooh! Less I forget, I read you should first rename the .gz file to extension of .tgz, since I've not modified my laptop folder view, I did so to enable me change extensions cos extracting the .gz file with WinRAR will give you another file that needs extraction, simplest method was using 7zip but didn't know then. I later on found the original Chinese ROM both the fastboot and recovery and voom I went to download, my laptop wouldn't connect to the hotspot, I had to beg my sister to help me with her phone, she obliged but she doesn't have ucweb cos I trust that browser like hell and her phone's ram is 1GB meaning I have to stay in that app less I risk closing it or corrupting my downloads.
I started downloading the fastboot ROM which is 2.44GB, I literally plugged the phone and never removed my attention from it and it took helly years to finish and also downloaded the miflash tool v2018, had them thrown into my system and zapped them out; meaning extracted them via WinRAR. I put my dead phone in fastboot, my system recognized it since I had my adb drivers ready, imagine I had to uninstall the 2017 version of miflash tool just for the sake, the new 2018 version is a portable app not installable......
Straight I tried flashing, and the first error was that the tool couldn't find the flashing files, chei! I wanted to die but I checked the file path and like me, I love using weird symbols for filenames so I extracted the flashing files to my desktop and retried, vaam! Another bloody error, "flashing system error" I sweated on my tongues but no lele... I went to Google and saw terrible things but the most terrible was that it was likely the downloaded firmware was corrupt, I shouted God forbid inside my heart... I saw another thing, that during extraction, some files can get corrupt.. so I went back and reextracted it but this time with 7zip.... I tried flashing again... It was moving and progressing, wasting time... In my heart I was making progress.. already my bladder was overfull and overrunning so I needed the toilet, so I said if I go to the toilet and on my way back, I'll peep to my phone to check if it has rebooted which signified success but I came back from the toilet, it was still moving... Immediately I unpaused the movie I was using to distract myself, I discovered my dead phone was already booting, I flew up, went to my sister's room and woke her, this was around 2 am and kissed her cos if not that she lend me her phone, what would I have done, maybe today I'd still be feeling miserable..I had 443 niara in my sim. I'll thank ifeco pipipi who gave me 640naira and aniiii who gave me 1k to resubscribe after my system gutted down my previous 11 gig , I just resetted the system and was reinstalling some apps like chrome cos I hate edge that hates idm and I needed idm to download efficiently and I forgot to put it in metered connection cos of anxiety, that was why I opted to use my sister's phone and manage the 2k sub prudently.
So praise da Lord somebody.
No vex say I dey disturb, we have different things that tickle us and mine is electronic gadgets, I can't just do without them.
Just ignore the typos, am in the toilet.

But next time no need to panic. Just do proper research before flashing or wiping, no rush, follow procedures step by step and you won't encounter problems.

Make sure you join the official telegram group of your device, download telegram on ur pc and log in too in case of future issues, this way u'll get help and directions faster, plus links to the right files to download, even wen ur fone is dead. Cheers!

Try other mods. Some mods have one bug or the other. Join your telegram group and get a recommended one.

The phone is unlocked... I installed the MIUI update using fastboot, I just want to install Gcam now, if possible, without root

using fastboot method, install recovery temporarily, then flash Cam2Api.
You can now install gcam of your choice.
