Two “prides” of Africa, Wizkid and Shatta Wale have both bagged nominations for the forth-coming MTV VMA.
Internationally recognised Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has been nominated for an MTV VMA in the categories of ‘Best Cinematography’ and ‘Best R&B’ for his feature on Beyonce‘s “Brown Skin Girl.”

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale was also nominated for ‘Best Art Direction’ for his appearance in Beyoncé’s “Already”.

Justin Bieber and Megan Thee Stallion have seven and six nominations, respectively, and both have Artist of the Year honours atop Video of the Year nominations. A young lady based in Uyo has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force for killing her boyfriend. She afterwards escaped with his Mercedes Benz 4matic and the car papers until later caught.

The late boyfriend identified only as Chukwuemeka is the only son of the parents and was an importer of goods. All efforts made by his business associates to reach the deceased to come and clear his consignments proved abortive and they were forced to look for his whereabouts, as such had never happened before.

The late Chichwuemeka was later found in his pool of blood inside his bedroom. His friends would later trace his Mercedes Benz vehicle tracker to locate the accused at a nearby hotel.

A Nigerian photographer, @JerrieRotimi has threatened to sue a model who called him out for inappropriately touching her during a photoshoot. He however denied the accusation and gave his own side of the story.

The photographer was accused by a model, @Naraozim of excessive “touchings” and tapping of “current” without permission which the model claimed was “traumatizing”. The two were paid for the photo shoot by a jewellery brand for promotion purposes.

In his defence, he tweeted:



– So I’m seeing a series of allegations from @NaraOzim and I want to refute all claims and state for the record everything that happened at this shoot. I was booked by a client for a jewelry shoot and Nara was the model. At every given point of the shoot

– there were at least 10 people on the set; it was never a closed set at any time. At no point during the shoot, was I alone with her or anyone else alone with her for that matter. At different points of the shoot, I gave direction as to poses and looks for each shot.

After a lot of wild guesses, the cat has finally been let out of the bag as promised! Big Brother has unveiled the two wild cards of the season.

Recall that in a surprising twist on the second launch show, Big Brother Instructed the housemates to uncover the wild cards before Sunday. Show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu later revealed that the wild cards will be unveiled to viewers on Thursday.

If the housemates guess the wild cards correctly, the game ends for them. If they do not, the wild cards will continue in the competition for the N90 million prize.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US has disclosed how it identified and nailed Nigeria’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, as one of the co-conspirators of Ramon Abbas, aka Hushpuppi.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Central District of California, Abba Kyari, a high-ranking Nigerian police officer who has received multiple honours, was one of six people indicted over an elaborate scheme to defraud a Qatari businessperson of more than $1 million, masterminded by celebrity fraudster, Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas.

The FBI revealed this in an affidavit issued before the United States District Court by a Special Agent with the FBI, Andrew John Innocenti.

The FBI said that Kyari abandoned his duties in Nigeria sometime in 2019 and flew to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to “enjoy a good time” with Hushpuppi, who lived at Palazzo Versace in the Emirati commercial capital.

The FBI special agent said Huspuppi appeared to have first interacted with Mr Kyari during the police officer’s trip to Dubai in September 2019.

He said conversations between them showed that Hushpuppi sent a car and a driver to drive Mr Kyari around in Dubai.

“Soon thereafter, KYARI sent ABBAS a video slideshow which showed some personal photographs of KYARI, some of which appeared to have been taken in the U.A.E,” Mr Innocenti added.

He said further that later in September “after KYARI sent ABBAS an article that discussed him arresting alleged kidnappers, ABBAS wrote, in part, to KYARI, ‘Am really happy to be ur boy,’ and later, ‘I promise to be a good boy to u sir’.”

Sosoliso plane crash survivor, Kechi Ukwuchi shares a “before-and-after” image of herself, thanking God for being alive long enough to see it.
On December 10, 2005, Kechi Okwuchi, a 16-year-old high school senior was aboard Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 that crashed and killed 107 people on board. She was one of only two survivors, herself and Esther Longe. All of her classmates died in the crash, leaving her the lone student survivor.
