According to the aide, Ooni slept with the mindset of rejoining the ongoing musical programme, ‘Memorable Moments With Music’, expected to end today. The aide, who pleaded anonymity, said though there had been issues with Prophetess Naomi Silekunola and Ooni, the palace never expected such to lead to “a divorce that will first be heard on social media”. Who has the most power of control over a woman? After studying one’s partner for a while in the relationship, you’re able to control them to some extent because of the power you wield over them for the simple pleasure they get from you that only you are in charge of. I know a young woman who would travel several miles to visit her broke lover simply because the sex is too good. Also, there are women who don’t care two hoots for anything else but the bag(money). I think this is called the “Mumu Button“. Women are mostly submissive only to whoever gives them what they want. Most men these days can’t even “loot” properly a woman’s warehouse talkless of giving her an org♂️ Read more: https://9jabeat.com/who-has-the-most-power-over-a-woman/

We all know it is the normal affair for a woman to officially change her surname to her husband’s name after the wedding. In some cases, the woman goes as far as changing her state of origin to her husband’s. So you hear things like, “I am Delta by blood, Yoruba by marriage.” However, with the rapid change in our social stances and the cry of gender equality getting stronger by the day, a lot of married women do not change their surnames these days and some single ladies have expressed their stance not to change their surnames after marriage. This may be seen as a rebellion of some sort, chaos to a perfect order of living or simply unnecessary but the reasons behind this is perfectly logical. Before I delve into these reasons, let me ask: did you know that there are countries where the wife does not change her surname and the child bears both father and mother surnames? Are you doubtful? Alright, take a look at the Wikipedia profiles of these two thespians, Daniel Padilla and Silvia Navarro. See? The reasons for women choosing not to change their surnames vary: 1. Identity: Some women feel it is not worth the stress. One married woman said, “Everyone knows me as Ms. T. Y. Changing my name and having all my documents bear Mrs T. Z. is totally unnecessary to me. What if an old contact wants to reach out to me and can’t find me by my original name? Abeg, I cannot jare. Besides, if it is not an issue in my home. My husband and the kids bear his surname. I bear my own. Everybody is fine.” 2. Equality: A woman changing her surname after marriage is one of the manifestations of gender superiority. It shows that the man’s identity is far more important than the woman’s and this should not be as man and woman both need each other to coexist. 3. Culture: History has shown us that in most African cultures in precolonial times, the woman always retained her family identity. Abortion is a very sensitive subject and many people would rather say nothing on it at all while those who do are usually anti-abortion. They argue from the line that all life begins at conception and aborting a pregnancy is no different from murdering a person. Well, while everyone has their opinions they should not try to foster their beliefs on someone else. If abortions were legalized we would have fewer deaths related to botched abortions and women would be able to go to good hospitals to get the best of care. You say killing the fetus is wrong but have you considered the fact that the woman might not be ready to be a mother. Not all unwanted pregnancies are as a result of ‘sex outside of marriage’, many are as results of rape. Would you advise a girl to keep the pregnancy and give birth to an innocent child that she could end up hating? I read the story of a girl who grew up with her mother always being distant and cold towards her all because she was the result of a gang rape, the poor woman did not even know which of the rapists had fathered her child. Some bride prices are in millions o Ego2: |
–Bride Price in Nigeria can be described as the sum of money or quantity of goods given to a bride’s family It is required of the groom or of the groom’s family in some tribal societies before marriage. In other words, bride Price is the money or property given to the bride and his family by the groom. In many parts of Africa, the bride price is what makes the traditional marriage valid because it is a way of asking for permission to marry the bride. Not everyone finds it easy to pay this money, some families allow you to go ahead with your wedding so you can pay up at a later time in the marriage. While some families allow you to do that, some won’t as it is custom and this sometimes puts a strain on the intending groom. Some tribes in Africa demand a very high bride price from the groom. Now the question is, should a woman assist the man in looking around for the money, can she contribute to her own bride price? Is it right for her to do so? Kindly leave a comment here(Help my readers too): https://9jabeat.com/opinion-is-it-right-for-the-woman-to-contribute-to-her-bride-price/
