Sometimes ago, the world celebrated fathers. People littered their Facebook, Instagram timelines, WhatsApp statuses etc with heartfelt messages celebrating their fathers, husbands, stepfathers, and the father figure in their lives. It was indeed a day to remember how valuable these men are in the lives of the people around them.

But the day was not without its own troubles. Evangelist and singer, Ositadinma Muolokwu was exposed as an adulterous man by a hacker who hacked his Facebook account.

The hacker littered his wall with screenshots of dirty messages the so-called Evangelist exchanged with women. Now, here is where it gets interesting: all the women who were exchanging flirtatious and dirty messages were all married women!



This now brings us to a more interesting conversation: Every day on social media, we see stories of “Dear Joro, my husband is cheating on me what should I do?” It is mostly women (who choose to remain anonymous, of course) that come on social media to tell Joro on Instagram or Amanda on Facebook stories of how their husbands are constantly cheating on them.

When you see or hear these stories, you not only feel sorry for the women, your mind (begins to) forms the strong opinion that all men cheat. In fact, you don’t even need to hear stories sef, you see so many men around you happily cheating on their wives.


So it may throw you off balance when you saw the screenshots on Ositadinma’s wall because the people he was cheating on his wife were married women!

Here is the unpopular truth: women are just as good in the cheating game as men are. The only difference is that women are more calculated and will cover up their tracks so that it is harder to even so much as suspect them...

Can we say that “All Men are Potential Rapists” until we prove them not to be?

Are all men rapists? On what basis do we draw up a conclusion?

This statement has been pushed by many feminists and some men in the wake of the numerous rape stories that have hit the news.

It immediately turned out to be a full-blown gender war with many men and women calling the above statement a very dangerous stereotype.

Rape is a very sensitive issue that plagues our society due to the wickedness of humans but the statement “all men are potential rapists” is not only fallacious but very triggering.

When women rape do we say “all women are potential rapists”? When they enable rapists do we say “all women are potential rape enablers” or “every woman is a potential prostitute” or “every woman is a potential gold digger”.

With the insecurity issues ravaging North-Eastern Nigeria, do we say “all Muslims are potential terrorists”? or “all Igbos are greedy”? or imagine this ideology “all Nigerians are scammers”.

All of these statements and many more are based on ignorance and paranoia. Indeed men need to do better to curb the rape culture but when we generalise based on the evil actions of some then we are ignorant bigots.


For someone who has been a rape victim, had a near rape experience or has followed these awful stories, it is wise to be cautious, wary and probably paranoid but it is wrong to assume that every man is a potential rapist.

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has responded to a Tiktok user who accused her of calling fashion blogger and entrepreneur, Laura Ikeji Kanu ‘ugly’.

After the last episode of the reality show, the Tiktok user, @strwapril4 took to the platform to air her disgust and reaction over Iyabo’s statement. In the short video she posted, she said:

“First of all, I hate it when the first offence or the first insult for women is…Oh you’re not that beautiful, you don’t know how to dress, you’re ugly.”

Sound Sultan died on the 11th of July, 2021 after a brief battle with throat cancer, he died in the United State of America.

Smiling sardonically, Anire reached out to collect the money. “She’s not a businesswoman, Daddy.”

He could trust her to be safe out there. However, during this week, such confidence eluded him. He’d had dreams, strange terrifying dreams of Shimmi and his wife asking him to send Anire to them so much that he woke up at midnights all drenched in thick sweat. He prayed, bound and cast against the spirit of death. This was the main reason he’d sent for her, so that she would be close to him during this auspicious week. He found it quite ironical that he should have such dreams during such a period.
Three successive raps came on the door jolting him out of his thoughts. He opened it to the sweaty face of Chinma, his neighbour’s son. What he heard next sent him out of his house in a mad run.

Nigerian multi-talented singer and record label giant, Davido has completely transformed a physically challenged businessman’s life just by liking his tweet.

Few weeks ago, Davido shared on his social media handle that he’ll be giving out N20 Million to 2o lucky people to assist in whatever business they are into with the current situation of hardship in the country. He enjoined anyone with a business idea to share it in the comment section of the tweet.
In his tweet, the singer wrote:

Country hard right now sha … let’s give 20 m to 20 pple on Friday … send in your business ideas or start up ideas … more details shortly #Wrblo

Consequently taking to his comment section, the 33-year-old physically challenged man, Adebisi Michael, said he simply shared his business idea and Davido “liked” his tweet. His life has completely changed since then, he said.

Reacting to the turn of events in an interview with BBC, the young man, Adebisi Michael said the tweet really changed his life as he would never have believed himself to have enough money to roof his business centre.

The University of Lagos (Unilag) has responded to Rema after he complained that the ASUU strike was keeping him from resuming since he got admission to study at the school.

The singer had tweeted earlier: “ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o, e don do nau!”

Bowen University then saw it as a chance to advertise their institution so they tweeted at Rema, writing: “ASUU can’t delay you if you’re enrolled in Bowen University.”

Rema replied, telling Unilag that another school is “toasting him.”

He wrote: “Unilag private university don dey Toast me o, I’m blushing omg stop it.
Unilag replied: “Hmm… Rema dear, UNILAG has chosen you o, Hmm… so don’t let anybody come dey change your mind o… Rema no dey vex for us o.”

Rema responded: “Awww Unilag end the strike or I will go ooo, we want to go back to school pls the youths are not happy!”

Unilag then wrote back to Rema: “Baby calm down.”

Tech giant, Blackberry Ltd has ended all functionality of their classic OS phones today, 4th of January 2022.

The Canadian firm, now focusing on software licencing and cyber-security have decided to turn off all its support for the BlackBerry OS.

One contributing factor to the close of operations for the Blackberry OS would be the advent of touchscreen phones without any physically attached keypad(which of course takes up space). Apple iPhones and the overwhelming demand for rival Android devices, smartphones from the likes of Samsung, HTC, etc also contributed to the extermination of the once-respected brand.
