thank you @Reese1 |
Hi guys, I need advice on my delta ticket, i bought it yesterday through an agent on the island. The problem is that It has my name misspelt, e.g if my name is 'Glory Okon', my name on the ticket says 'Gloryms Okon'. Its obvious that the last two letters stand for 'ms'(miss) but i didnt feel comfortable with it being joined to my first name. I raised the issue with the travel agency and they said this is the practice with delta airline, that they always append ur title to the end of your name. Now, i dont want to make a fuss incase indeed this is true, so can anyone shed more light on this? or has anyone who used delta airline had their title appended to their first name? Because if this is not the practice with delta, then it is an issue- because then the name on my ticket will not match the rest of my travel docs which a big problem which i want to rectify before its too late. thanks, |
calamari, its some tentacles of a sea urchin or maybe octopus, but i ate it at a seafood restaurant and it was goooooooooooooooood :-) |
if u have a 2'2 then u must have a LOT of experience, and u may not apply for entry level. entry is strictly 2'1 |
ok due to popular demand, like nikkygal said its very impt that you display intent of coming back- cuz the visa officers can read body language. Im just going for 3weeks anyway and i got multiple entry for 2years. I work for a multinational (one of the big four professional services firms) so all my questions at the interview where based on my job. The visa officer seemed intrigued by my company and he asked me what i loved about my job, what i actually do for my company etc. he DIDNT even look at any of my supporting docs apart from the letter from my employers and my account statement, not even my invitation letter, or evidence of my host's status in the US etc and most suprising of all, he didnt even ask me about my ties to Nigeria cuz i really dont have any apart from my job. So it actually helps to have a great job cuz it gives credibility, the two girls before me got rejected cuz the visa officer said he wasnt satisfied with their ties to Nigeria- and they had land, kids etc whereas i am single, using a virgin passport,no land etc -so it also boils down to God's favour. I went to the embassy with: - Letter from my employers stating my vacation days and confirming my employment - Leave approval letter -6 months pay slip -6 months bank statement - Cover letter written by me, stating why i would come back to Nigeria - Invitation letter& evidence of my hosts status - tax clearance - My complimentary business cards -My work id card - My employment letter and a few other things, but as i said just my bank statement and letter from my employers were used, Goodluck everyone |
calamari, its made from some kinda sea urchin/octopus, it was fried in batter and was actually quite good, and expensive, lol |
i would have loved to say that nairalanders helped out but no, they didnt, the few times i posted questions nobody bothered replying, but God has been faithful and my interview went really well, a word of advice- if u can, go to abuja, theres less stress there, no medical exam etc u just do your interview and ur out in a flash.didnt spend up to 3 hrs there, and also remember to pray, its impt, bye, let me go pack :-) |
can anyone confirm if medical examination is compulsory at the US embassy- i have some friends say that not everyone is askjed to go and do one while some people say its evryone that is asked to go and do a medical exam, pls who knows ?/ |
Pls can anyone answer this question?, in Abuja, is a medical exam necessaty like in lagos? and if theres a medical examination, who knows what hospital it is? thanks |
im going for a visiting visa to stay for summer, is a tax clearance certificate necessary to present at the embassy? amd a police report, thanks |
Is a medical exam report part of requirements for a visitors visa to the US? and Tax clearance certificate? |
pls, my sister's wedding is in december and im looking for a place where i can get good lace for her trad. Pls post any address u may have of a good shop. Thanks. |
i work at PwC and i can say authoritatively that entry level 2'1 is minimum o! and its rather difficult to enter as the test is quite hard and theres essay writing. The interview is more or less in 3 parts which is intensive- you really have to be sure of your self and worth to talk, lol, its a great place to start a career and i LOVE it here, evryone is extremely cordial and nice to each other. Like a work environment abroad. If you can get in- then try to, :-) the experience is worth it, |
i lived most of all my life in calabar from 1986 till 2005, till i moved away to serve in lagos. Calabar is great, i mean i cant live there again tho since ive gotten used to the bustle of lagos, but its fun to go and chill there and stuff, my parents still live there and there are still fun hangouts- Mirage, NAF club and i hear some new places are popping up, beware of efik chopping babes tho, lol, u dont need a lot of money to have fun in calabar tho i hear thats changing slowly, i should be there by the 23rd- if u havent bought ur air ticket to get there before christmas- then forget it- cuz airlines are booked, yup! that time of the year |
Sorry if i offended anyone, but abeg let me laugh, its not everyday u come to nairaland and find out your company is recruiting, i work for neptune, for the past 19 months now. |
lol |
lol, i work @neptune, |
i went for an interview recently and i want to send a followup letter, thanking the interviewer for her time and expressing my desire to join the company but most of friends are laughing at me, saying that it is eye service that i am doing, should i ditch the idea? i know its a common thing to send followup letters abroad after an interview |
