Doyle0309: Honestly, it won’t affect your profile... Just submit necessary documents relating to you change of name. (I know this cuz my wife did same).
Hope this helps. Thanks @doyle0309. Please, at what point will I add the relating docs when opening my EE profile? Thanks |

Doyle0309: Also, when you get your ITA, you can add LOE to buttress your point. The LOE should state that you evaluated your credentials with your maiden name because that’s the name on your certificate. However, you’re married now and your name is now ............ and that you are submitting necessary documents(Marriage certificate, change of name affidavit and newspaper publication) to support this claims. Thank you so much. I will do as advised |

Hello guys, I need your help/suggestion.
I opened my profile with WES using my maiden name because I thought that’s required since my credentials all carry my maiden name, however int. Passport carry my current name I.e Marital name and I recently started going through this thread and realized I should have used my current name so I decide to send my marraige cert, newspaper publication and affidavit to WES. But they responded that my assessment will be completed soon( they specified a date) hence no changes can be made.
Will this not constitute an issue while opening my EE Profile? I recently got my Ielts result which is in my current name.
Thank you |

giselle237: if you take time to re-read the letter you would see that also the trainings you have gone for locally also count. As for the other people the company sponsored, then they as a company should be able to help you out with proofs. This would include attaching the sponsorship letters and/or certificates obtained by other staff they have sponsored with corresponding dates. The company would have this in their records or you ask those staff for their letters or certificates while the company writes another letter to include the names of these staff and u attach the documentary proofs Thank you @giselle237 I am thinking of letting it go and probably reapply at a letter time because the training and certification is early NOV so I may not get to meet up even after everything . The refund is partial and my company has asked that I use that for training here. I will hopefully apply at a later time maybe for holiday but my question is will I need to explain the reason for refusal and even attach my exam cert just to at least proof my points? Maybe in another 6months time |

Funny enough I had more than enough to sponsor myself but my company volunteered to sponsor me and I feel like I will be benefiting from the sponsorship since it means that I deserve it. |

giselle237: Then reapply with all these proofs you have . Thanks @giselle237. I have actually thought of reapplying but then the sponsorship letter given for previous visa application was so comprehensive yet the ECO said it wasn’t detailed enough. I could attach all my training and certificates but they are all local trainings and part of the reasons given was that I hadn’t gone for international training before. Also how do I proof that my company has sent people on similar training because my only thoughts is to get the certificates of such people as attachments but how will that proof they are company representatives? All this and more are my thoughts. My company also suggested I reapply but if I don’t get all this answer right, it could be another refusal. Your thoughts pls. giselle237: the letter is explanatory in case of future ‘business’ applications... you failed to convince them about what profit or benefit holds for your company that they would want to sponsor you for this course, why haven’t they sponsored you or anyone in the company to a course of this magnitude in Nigeria or its immediate environs, why did they choose to sponsor you and why have you not before now on your own attended any of such courses in any other country but suddenly want to now in the UK..
About your exam fee.. I will advise that you email your refusal letter with a note to the establishment organising this course. They should be able to refund you seeing that it was not you who decided not to come but because you were denied a visa. Try this. Thanks @giselle237 for the feedback. Benefits of the training was captured in the sponsorship letter with proof of ongoing project and the commercial implications of not attending the said training and I have done so many related trainings here, however not internationally. Also, my company has sponsored similar training but we did not attach such proof as we do not know their is need for such or will be a basis for refusal. |

Nielbaba: THANK YOU , i printed my 6months statement today , i realised my opening balance is low , cos before december , ive been transfering fund into my other account, is it advisable i print from october to june 2019(diamond) ,,den support with bank stament from uba showing that d money was actually transferred from my salary account to the other one ? Did you later submit the statement that way? I asked because I have a similar issue. I transfer funds from my salary account to my savings account so my opening balance for my salary account was so small but then I backed it up with my savings account and put an explanation in the cover letter. I await a positive decision by God’s grace. @justwise, @giselle and other gurus here, please can you guide on this for future purpose? Thanks |

Someone just told me that docs that are either longer or shorter than the A4 size during scanning and uploading at the visa office will be rejected so I need to make copies of those docs to ensure it’s A4 size.
Please house, how genuine is the above point and can you guide on the process and what is expected.
Thanks |

ralphelo: I gave them the exact reason in the refusal letter. I also attached the refusal letter to my applications.though I declared two previous UK refusals in my online applications as well. Just tell them every truth about your applications. It will not affect your applications. I intend to give the exact reason on paper but I can’t really say I know why I was denied But I guess the paper explains that. Thanks |

justwise: That is too much, the ECO don't have all the time in the world to read pages of cover letter, reduced that to a page Reducing it to a page means I will have to omit some necessary information to clear some doubts and I do not want to that. How else can I go about this? Thanks |

ralphelo: How do you expect someone dealing with thousands of applications to be reading epistle letter. Any cover letter more than one page na something else. Go straight to the point, use punches to clarify issues. Be succinct. I get your point but then I still need to clarify details of transactions in my statements. Lucky for me, I have all the transaction slips but then it’s still 2 pages but I don’t want to have to omit anyone that could come to bite. Thanks though |

The cover letter I drafted is about 3pages. This is required to explain some incentives and Bonuses paid by my employer at some certain time.
My question is, is 3pages too much as a cover letter?

Thank you. So I do not need to submit the company’s statement of account in any way? Do I need to attach employment letter? Since I am married, will I be required to attach my wedding certificate and family pics in anyway? So sorry for the questions, I just want to be clear at once. Thank you justwise: You need to submit evidence of employment, payslips and salary account(6 months of both is the standard)
Your company need to give you a letter giving details of the training you are going for and how it will help the company, this training how to relate to your duty in the company.
You also need a letter from the company in the UK with details about the training.
You don't need to book a flight but you have to provide evidence of accommodation and budget of the trip. |

Regarding your last question...that will not be a problem as long as you explain the payment situation in your visa application. . Yes you have responded but not with the details of the docs to submit. I will appreciate your guidance on the list of docs to attach. Thank you |

My company will provide all necessary docs but can you guide with what docs will be required for submission? Also , my company either pays salary from two different account since they merged, will this have an effect? I mean I get paid either from to different account names justwise: You should not get involved with your money, let your company make the payment with their account and pay yes you can pay for the training and attach payment receipts . You also need a letter from your company |

justwise: If you are working for a company and they are sending you for a training then they will pay for everything.
Though you still have to submit proof of employment and evidence of salary level earned but you are not spending your money. Yes @justwise, my company will be covering all expense. I have all evidence of employment and will provide my 6months payslip and salary account. But the question I earlier asked was that, 1. my company pays salary using 2 diff accts cos they merged hence salary is paid either from the 2 accounts. Is this a problem? 2. Will I be better applying while sponsoring myself though the company will still reimburse me or should my company pay the training fee using the company’s main account rather than using mine personally? 3.Training fee is about 250,000.Should we pay and attach as evidence while applying or not? Thank you |

Hello House,
I want to apply for U.K visa to go for a training sponsored by my company.
I had earlier wanted to sponsor myself but on discussing with my boss, the company decided to take it up fully.
Is it advisable I apply personally while the company reimburse me later or should the company pay the training fee directly while I also fill same in my form?
I am married with kids and I have been working with the company for a while now.
Also my company merged with a group, hence salary is either paid from the 2 accounts till all legal issue is sorted. Will this also pose any problem?
I humbly await your input. Thanks |
