@ James and other foriegn trained students, here is more: I schooled abroad, what documents do I need to provide to be called up for National Service? Requirements For Foreign Trained Graduates Original and Photocopy each of all academic credentials including: a) First Degree Certificate BA, B.SC, HND. b) Complete transcriptof the degree or HND c) Marks Sheets ( for Indian schools only) d) ' O'Levels i.e WASC, WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO,IGCE, high school Dilopma 'or High School Diploma e)Registration certificate with Medical Dental Council of Nigeria ( for doctors only) f) Registration certificate with Pharmacist Council of Nigeria ( for Pharmacists only) g) Nigeria International passport Showing the following: i) First Departure date from Nigeria ii) Student Visa iii) Last arrival date into Nigeria h)Three (3) Passport size photographs. The original credencials and travelling passport will be returned to the owner after verification. You should visit the Mobilisation Department at the NYSC HQ in Abuja to register. Your Call-up letter will be issued to you at the NYSC HQ. NOTE: REGISTRATION IS NOT DONE BY PROXY. |

REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN TRAINED NIGERIAN GRADUATES FOR THE 2012 BATCH 'B' SERVICE YEAR This is to inform all foreign trained Nigerian graduates desirous of enlisting into national service that the registration for the 2012 Batch ‘B’ service year commences on Monday, 2nd April, 2012 and ends on Monday, 4th June, 2012. While welcoming you back to Nigeria, it is important that you take cognizance of the following vital information, which will facilitate your seamless registration for national service. A. REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION All prospective corps members who obtained their first degrees or Higher National Diplomas outside Nigeria must present the following documents for registration, viz: i) International Nigerian traveling passport: This must reflect the dates of departure from and arrival back into Nigeria. The passport must also carry the student visa. In a situation where one has more than one international passport, both passports should be presented for the purpose of evaluation, and those with dual nationality should also come along with both their Nigerian passport and that of their new country of naturalization. ii) Original West African School Certificate (WASC/NECO) or High School Diploma (for those who schooled in the USA) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 credits at 2 sittings including English and Mathematics must be presented. Please note that all those who do not meet these requirements would be referred to the Federal Ministry of Education for the proper evaluation of their certificates. Equally noteworthy is that statements of result would not be entertained for this registration exercise. iii) Please come along with either your first degree certificate or statement of result indicating that you have been awarded the degree. All those with letters of attestation stating that they have completed their course of study without indicating that they have actually graduated should not bother to come at all for registration. iv) Detailed original transcript should be presented. For those who studied in India, mark sheets must be presented. v) All Medical Doctors or Optometrists must show evidence of completion of housemanship or internship as the case may be, and evidence of registration with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council or Nigeria Optometrists Association of Nigeria. vi) All graduates of pharmacy must show evidence of registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. B. CERTIFICATES AND TRANSCRIPTS NOT WRITTEN IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE All graduates who studied in non-English speaking countries and whose certificates and transcripts are not written in English Language must ensure that they get their certificates and transcripts translated into English by approved translators in either their universities or embassies of their countries of study. C. MARRIED WOMEN All married women have the privilege to be posted to where their husbands reside. However, to enjoy this privilege, all married women must provide the following documents during registration, viz: i) marriage certificate; ii) evidence of change of name; and iii) evidence of husband’s place of domicile. D. THOSE WITH MEDICAL CHALLENGES All persons with debilitating ailments will be posted to states where they can receive adequate medical attention. They must however provide medical records to back their claim. E. DEPLOYMENT Please be informed that the NYSC does not charge any fee for deployment to states of service. Equally noteworthy is the fact that you do not have a choice as to your state of deployment. F. EXEMPTION FROM SERVICE Those who are qualified for exemption from national service are those who at the time of graduation are: (a) above 30 years of age; (b) members of the Nigeria Armed Forces or Nigeria Police Force that have served for a period of more than nine months; or members of staff of any of the following: i) the Nigerian Security Organization; ii) the State Security Service; iii) the National Intelligence Agency; iv) the Defence Intelligence Service. Please note that registration is never done by proxy. Therefore, all prospective corps members must appear physically to register at the Evaluation Division of the Corps Mobilization Department, NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Plot 416, Tigris Crescent. Maitama, Abuja. Please remember that registration for 2012 Batch ‘B’ service year closes effectively on Monday, 4th June, 2012 SIGNED MANAGEMENT |

jamescyril: Hello, let somebody answer me: I gain admission with a Diploma from NIIT Nigeria into level 300 into NIIT Ghana with Bsc.IT affliated to university of education,Winneba.James as far as I know, NIIT Nigeria is not a degree awarding institution, but a professional awarding institution...Now to NIIT Ghana, you said it is affiliated to a college of Education, I will like to ask you a question, have any of your predecessors (Nigerian), mobilised for NYSC?...I think you should make wide consultation with NIIT Nig, NIIT Ghana, the affiliated school, and NYSC to be sure you are qualified for NYSC...You can also visit NYSC site: www.nysc.gov.ng...for better clarifications...I believe if the afformentioned steps are followed, you will get all the answers you need...Goodluck in your quest!...Buh, are u d only Nigerian in NIIT Ghana? |
