Company CEOs were left impressed by the tenacity of the 22-year-old when he stood at the train station with a large placard which read “Marketing Graduate (BA Hons 2:1 Coventry Uni) - Ask for a CV.” He received many job offers that day and ended up being employed by a recruitment firm. Two weeks after his job-seeking stunt, he took a role with recruitment consultancy The Asoria Group, which are based just one hundred yards from the station. Alfred is now part of a team looking to recruit new workforce for his company and was back at the Waterloo Station yesterday, Thursday, January 22 with a sign albeit a different one. He posted a picture of himself five months ago next to a new photo of him holding a new sign stating: “Now I'm Hiring”. The photo was accompanied by the caption “same spot, different sign.” Speaking with Daily Mail, Alfred said it was a great feeling to be back the same place to look for people who like him a few months ago are looking for job. “I've loved my role since taking it and there hasn't been one minute where I've regretted my decision. The company is expanding and we're looking to take people on to the desk where I'm working so we are now searching for graduates, people in the same position I was last year. We've got around 20 vacancies,” he revealed. Source = Brandednaija |

We watched part of her speech at the PDP campaign rally in Rivers State on NTA on Thursday and it was more like a dramatic scene than a political rally. Someone recorded what she said. King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the powerful U.S. ally who joined Washington's fight against Al Qaeda and sought to modernize the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom has died at 90, according to Saudi state TV. His successor is his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman, who recently has taken on the ailing Abdullah's responsibilities. The announcement came in statement read by a presenter on Saudi state TV, which aired video of worshippers at the Kaaba in Mecca. Saudi state TV said he died after midnight Friday. A former American diplomat close to the Saudi royal family told Fox News the death of King Abdullah, coupled with the collapse of the government in Yemen, is a "worst case scenario" for the U.S. because current events are allowing Iran to extend its reach and influence in the region. With the collapse of President Hadi's government in Yemen, the former diplomat said Teheran's influence is now seen in at least four Middle Eastern capitals - Sana'a in Yemen, Baghdad in Iraq, Damascus in Syria, and to a lesser extent in Beirut, Lebanon. In a written statement issued shortly after the announcement of Abdullah's death, President Obama expressed condolences and said, " I always valued King Abdullah's perspective and appreciated our genuine and warm friendship. As a leader, he was always candid and had the courage of his convictions. "One of those convictions was his steadfast and passionate belief in the importance of the U.S.-Saudi relationship as a force for stability and security in the Middle East and beyond." Obama visited with the ailing king in his desert compound last March. Secretary of State John Kerry, who was in London for a meeting of the coalition fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria, called Abdullah "a brave partner in fighting violent extremism who proved just as important as a proponent of peace." Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel called the king "a powerful voice for tolerance, moderation and peace -- in the Islamic world and across the globe." Former President George H.W. Bush said he was "deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend and partner King Abdullah. As President, I found His Majesty always to be a wise and reliable ally, helping our nations build on a strategic relationship and enduring friendship dating back to World War II." Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., called Abdullah "an important voice for reform in Saudi Arabia. He pushed for the modernization of the education system, curbed the authority of the religious police, and extended women the right to vote and run in municipal elections." More than his guarded and hidebound predecessors, Abdullah assertively threw his oil-rich nation's weight behind trying to shape the Middle East. His priority was to counter the influence of rival, mainly Shiite Iran wherever it tried to make advances. He and fellow Sunni Arab monarchs also staunchly opposed the Middle East's wave of pro-democracy uprisings, seeing them as a threat to stability and their own rule. And while the king maintained the historically close alliance with Washington, there were frictions as he sought to put those relations on Saudi Arabia's terms. He was constantly frustrated by Washington's failure to broker a settlement to the Israel-Palestinian conflict. He also pushed the Obama administration to take a tougher stand against Iran and to more strongly back the mainly Sunni rebels fighting to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad. Buhari is 72 years now and he took the examination in 1961 which is 53 years ago, then subtract 53 from 72 it will give you 19. That is to say that Buhari was 19 years old when he took that examination. Then look at the picture on the said WAEC result and tell me does that look like a 19 years old boy?Katsina College releases Buhari’s WASC results? Please kindly take a look at this result and you will realize how fraudulent it can be. Doesn't it look forgery? .. Was there anything like NECO in 1961? Is this how Buhari looks like in 1961? NECO was formed in 2000. This certificate also bears WASSCE which was WASC until it was changed to WASSCE in 1998. During his age, such exams were not conducted in May/June...I mean in the 60s. WAEC School Certificate exams used to take place in November/December until 1973. And again there was nothing like SSCE back then. Also, our sick general is quoting Katsina state; please for your information Katsina state was created in 1987. Is This not FORGERY? PEGURY? ... Is This not FAKE? … Your views

ashewopeckas:Senseless talk. Iyanya looks absolutely great and handsome. His suit's finishing is the best. You must be an electron microscope to detest and declare that his fingernails are dirty, without considering the pictures background, the quality of the Camera and other possible photo effects. Jim is also undoubtedly good. Don't envy them in such a jealous manner. They are better than you. For my vote, judging from this picture, I vote Iyanya. Though Jim is my favorite. The United States Government has said there are no signs that Nigeria will break up before, during or after the February general elections. Today.ng Reports US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, stated this in Lagos on Thursday during an interactive session with journalists on the recent donation of a US naval ship, NNS Okpabana, to the Nigerian Navy. He, however, said Nigeria was facing “big challenges” but said the present problems were surmountable. “I have been plagued by the question (on Nigeria’s possible disintegration in 2015) and I have gone back to look and I can’t find any government report that said Nigeria would disintegrate in 2015. Maybe some think-tank or somebody outside the government said it; I don’t know. “But in my opinion as the US Ambassador to this country, I am not worried in the least that Nigeria is going to disintegrate in 2015. Regardless of what someone may have said, the question is that we are now here in 2015: Do we see signs that Nigeria is going to disintegrate or fall apart or something? I don’t know what you think. But I don’t see those signs. “But I see signs of growth, optimism and I see that to minimise the challenges that you have, in this life, you have to keep on keeping on and I think the future is quite bright,” Entwistle said. He also said if the Federal Government did what would need to be done in the coming years, as regards to “security, corruption and all of these things,” the future of Nigeria would be “very bright.” Source Brandednaija Today.ng |
