Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by cybergeek: 1:38am On Mar 17
Hello everyone!

My name is Adeolu, I'm new here and also quite new to the graduate school application process. I applied to 3 schools in the US which include Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, and Illinois State University. I recently got an admission offer from Georgia Tech but I am confused about the next step forward.

Out of the 3 schools I applied to, Georgia Tech is my most preferred option but it doesn't come readily with funding. From the letter I got, I read that you have to source the funding yourself as a master's student.

Can I accept the offer from Georgia Tech and later abandon it if I get a fully funded offer from the other schools I applied to(I've not gotten an admission decision from them yet)?

If I accept Georgia Tech's offer what exactly is the next step I'm meant to take, especially in looking for funding?
I don't have any sponsor and I am new to the whole process. Please what are the necessary steps I should start taking now that can help me move forward in this journey?

Thank you and God bless you!

Its a project work and part of the task of the is to make sure the tree is still alive, so the tree is actually not dead like you projected and still serving its purpose.
beatcoins:
How many trees has he planted as a student whose work is depend on tress?

I may sound bizarre to a lot of people for comment I'm about to make but I don't care.

Tree felling & tree carving are an abomination. If you fell a tree, plant one to replace it. Trees are the connection (trunk & root) between the living and the dead and local witches know this. What does the life of a tree teach us? If you sacrifice a seed and lose it to the ground, the seed dies and comes back to life as a tree.

It may come as a surprise to know that Zuma Rock was one an ancient giant tree cut down by the nephthalims. (Before you argue, please do an extensive research on this). Why did the ancient giants cut down these trees that sour high into the heavens? If you don't believe these stories and think it's not real, then explain where the story of Jack and the beanstalk came to be. It's the same story of giants and trees that are depicted in avatar. Anyways, that's another story for another day.

Do your research. Leave trees alone. You are destroying a vital part of ecosystem. When you cut down or destroy trees, you are destroying free oxygen, high temperature regulators and a chain of ecosystem.

Celebrities / Nathaniel Bassey's View On Tiwa Savage's Marriage Saga by cybergeek: 1:02pm On May 01, 2016
Just saw this on my wall now decided to share with you guys.

MY TAKE ON THE TIWA SAVAGE SAGA
Like most sagas or scandals, people talk. Most times we all just talk, my self inclusive.
But how many ever stop to say a word of prayer for people going through such. I mean take out time and just pray for them?
I even hear TIWA, is or was one of us, that is someone who once sang in church or perhaps knows the Lord. (Not so sure how true though)
The more I grow, the more I learn not to criticise what I don't understand. And in fact, from the bible, also learnt that how one reacts determines also what happens to one, sooner or later. That's why the best thing to do is take out time to pray at such a time. I remember doing same when I heard about some famous believers who'd gone through something similar.
So can we just pray that this crisis will be an opportunity for TIWA and her husband to encounter CHRIST afresh? And pray specifically for TIWA that Jesus would reveal himself anew to her, and turn this into a revival in her life. And pray that her husband will come to the saving knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus. And also use this time to pray for every music minister and preacher going through storms in their lives and ministries that they'll encounter the PRINCE of PEACE, JESUS.
I don't know about you, it would be my joy to see TIWA come out of this strong and changed, declaring her faith in Jesus and using all that talent for him; singing the praises of our God and king alone.
That would delve a major blow to the kingdom of darkness. Won't it? So saints, let's pray more and talk less.
God bless you all.

Religion / Re: That Moment In Church When You Dance Like King David. by cybergeek: 7:52pm On Jan 03, 2016
I think I'll be using music as an illustration here. there are some secular music we christian choose and convert to gospel music(we call it gospel version of such music). the question is what is the essence of singing in church? I guess one of the reasons should be to glorify God, how do we glorify God when we are not connected to him? and I think why we are not connected to him is because of the SOURCE of the music music we are singing. A song is either inspired by God or the devil(no middle ground). in church when we are singing any of Don Moen's song there is this heavenly connection and feeling the song brings to us why? because of its source. It is inspired by God but if we should take this song NO JESUS NO LIFE, gospel version of NO WOMAN NO LIFE by BOB MARLEY do we still have the same feeling? NO, why? its because what comes to your mind at first when you hear the song is BOB MARLEY. Is he a gospel artist? No, is the song a gospel song? No. to cut long story short I don't think you have the same same feeling when singing this songs because of the limitations. I think same is applicable to dance today. dancing shoki in today, there's no how we won't think of the SOURCE. just thinking shaaa....
