The Federal high court in Abuja this evening ordered INEC to register the ADA party and release codes for it to submit relevant information to the electoral body like party officials and candidates for upcoming elections. More details to come.

While on appeal, INEC reserves the right to remove the NDC particulars from its website as the new judgement aligns with its stand that NDC never met requirements for registration. It was the court that arm twisted INEC to accept NDC but that same court has now corrected itself. So unless the NDC can get a stay of execution at the appeal court, INEC should quickly delist that hopeless party from its setup.

In reaching its decision, the federal high court agreed with the Peace Movement Party that NDC copied its logo that it had already submitted to INEC. The court thereby set aside its previous order. More details to come.
