The scheduled continuation of trial of a Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, before a Federal High Court in Lagos was stalled on Thursday as the presiding judge, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, did not sit.
The case was consequently adjourned till January 30, 2017.
Adegboruwa is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly dealing in a landed property in defiance of a court order.
The EFCC arraigned him on May 13, 2016 on one count alongside one Jonathan Udeagbala, said to be at large.

A national scientific conference on HIV prevention has been organised to showcase the achievements of the response to AIDS in Nigeria.

Vanguard reports that Edo State House of Assembly, yesterday, approved a pension benefit for a residential building worth N200 million for the immediate past governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, while N100 million was approved for his Deputy, Dr Pius Odubu.

According to Vanguard, the decision was made after the House amended the Pension bill titled, A bill for a law to amend the 2007 Pension Rights of the Governor and Deputy Governor Law, was approved by the House at the committee of a whole.

Dr Okezie Emenike, an Abuja-based medical doctor, on Monday, said that people with Bulimia Nervosa are at risk of life threatening illnesses.

A Professor of Virology, Sunday Omilabu, has urged government to invest in biotechnology, saying it can be used for innovation in stem cell research and immunisation, among other benefits.
