Wahala no dey finish for this NCDMB? From one problem to another.

it is possible the ES want to conclude the recruitment as soon as possible because the weight of the case against him, otherwise the second in command, Mr. Patrick Deziba may conclude the recruitment and flush out Wabote candidates. The ES has a case at United States Eastern District of Pennsylvania, they alleged that Wabote perjured (lied on oath) in his response to interrogatories.

Mr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote has been accused of perjury and lying on oath in his case against one Mr. Jackson Ude, a journalist.

Consequently, Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) and a coalition of civil society organizations (CSOs) have demanded that the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Simbi Kesiye Wabote, step aside for a thorough investigation of allegations of corruption against him within 21 days.

The group is accusing Wabote over his fragrant undermining of the Constitution in use of taxpayers’ money to prosecute a libel suit he instituted in the USA against the journalist.

The group says, Nobody is saying, Wabote has no right to institute a libel suit in America, but let him first resign his appointment and use his personal funds to pay foreign law firms he has engaged rather than using taxpayers’ money illegally. He has been given 21 days.

Kindly note the following:

1. if this case continue the way its, the ES-NCDMB will have no option than to hurriedly finalize the recruitment and his untimely exit from office may be possible because of the scheduled protest against him in NASS and Presidency, for perjury.

2. If they settle out of court, the recruitment and hopefuls will continue the wait.

NCDMB hopefuls, including those where unable to upload and those who did not apply, what are your prayer points? settle out of court?

People are becoming more aggressive and its quite understandable . But lets be patient once more, the recruitment would only be concluded when it’s time comes, no amount of insults or vexing can make it so.

We appreciate those people who go extra mile just to get an info, it’s hard. If you dont have info, appreciate what’s being given here, which one is they are not panning out? Even you can say something and change it later, why not a recruitment with lion and elephant teeths on it?

Management of NCDMB and FCC are currently working hand in hand to continue the recruitment as early as possible..

Candidate who meet the required cut off and asked to upload documents has all been stratified to to different categories base on qualification for interviews. Also ineligible candidates base on age and qualifications has been weeded out.

The Interview will likely be held virtually due to security situation of the country, though FCC are proposing a physical Interview at Abuja.

Date of the interview will be communicated as soon as NCDMB and FCC comes to an agreement.


The Senate Committee on local content has also meet with FCC for the continuation on the recruitment exercise....
