And he messaged me but due to the fact that his price was on the high side We got talking and he told me he had a iPhone 8 and IPhone X

So I told him I was going to take the iPhone X 256gb and then we would swap for my Xr so he would just use my panel for his iCould Xr

We met on Saturday and I gave him my Xr he gave me the X and then he sign out his icould and I headed home in the car I tried switching off the phone only for the phone to hang so I called him and sent the picture of the phone and he blocked me on Whatsapp and didn’t pick up or texted me back till mid night around 1


He came up with a lie saying my phone IC spoilt his engineer spoilt it now the Xr is not coming on,I ran out of airtime while talking to him and since Thursday he didn’t bother to call or reach out to me.He blocked me

I made enquires on what happened to it and I was told it is called Bootloop so I got it fixed now then I have been trying him to just give me the activation lock on the phone but he still won’t pick up

First I'll advise you notify kreamie and other senior persons in this group then secondly channel such inssues to the dispute resolution group , it'll probably get resolved there quicker

If you know anything about scams then you'll know , that they do work exactly like that , trust me they could even release some devices for a few dozen persons so they could post it online and create some online buzz that will further attract unsuspecting victims , I'm not calling them a fraudulent company . All I'm saying is while you remain hopeful , don't try too vehemently to defend them , just pray and chill , while hoping for the very best . If it comes Christmas is set for those who made orders if it doesn't life goes on , best wishes though

I really don't like it when people try to use technicalities to escape liability , I've read the ad and if the buyer and very certain he did though I wouldn't try to assume asks " if the phone has any other issues " ( other than the crack ) . If his reply ( sub9ja) is negative then surely he has lied and has deceptively misled the buyer. The sub9ja guy should state his case and better still profer a mutually beneficial solution

There's nothing like greediness here , transparency is the key , though the price looks dirt cheap but I've seen guys sell iPhone x , fully functional for less , y'all should try to amicably resolve this thing , before it gets out of hand , best wishes

I wanna say thanks to everyone once again , hope my appreciation will not be considered spamming and for the records , wish I believe Joseph95 is aware I never intended to make it public and after cybertek advised I contact some senior members here , I really wanted to take it down but I was too late because boss kreamie had commented .

I'm glad this was amicably resolved and hopefully when the issue is remedied ( MIPI ) I'll be sincerely very happy , for Joseph95 he's a a very cool guy , God's surely gonna bless y'all and I pray such issues never bring their ugly head again . Now that I have this almost resolved it's time I face the thief who stole my phone [/b]BOLUWATIFE EZEKIEL TIMILEYIN BECKLEY[b] , I need your prayers too so I can catch him because from all account he's a serial thief .

It's easy to differentiate the 2 you stated above now because the buyer and seller are having issues... It's 100% the same thing if no issue arise... when seller talk about the locked status of a phone it's quiet different from stating it as unlocked I'm a seller too...

Don't forget any solution agreed on will be a precedent for future occurrence. Take Note

Yes I did and did you ever for one instance ask or tell me that any issue , surrounding unlocking the device will be my loss to bear . I know you're unaware about the MIPI issue but you trying to push the blame squarely on me is beging to tell more on your person you're nice but don't try to be selfish , if everyone acts like you're suggesting no one can buy any tlc device with a clause . You said fully functional when does " MIPI " issue becomes fully functional and from what cybertek said the fault is not from the unlock so don't add it to the mix , mipi is a unique stand alone problem of the device you sold to me , you've diverted the blame on me , cybertek , you've used the grammatical construction of your ad and the latest one is you're trying to put unlock and a software not probably hardware issue as same . Does that seem right or reasonable to you ?

I deal majorly with Samsung and buying a locked Samsung phone is quite different from the icloud lock you talking about.

If you buy a locked phone, then you know it's your responsibility to unlock it. Whatever issue is not from the seller, especially if the seller stated its locked already... Even if it's iphone and the buyer intent to use Chip, then the chip didn't work well (maybe messages didn't drop in, etc, how is that the seller's responsibility, buyer needs to know to what extent they should push responsibilities, not with issues like this.

Thanks a lot for your contribution now I wanna say something , if I'd gone with the initial plan where he was to unlock bthr device before sending it over , and the fault was discovered will you have suggested he sends me a dud for a phone since he simply said "at&t unlock 2k " ok whatbaout if I say this that after explaining to him my financial predicament and we discover that to unlock the phone cost probably 10x more , would you have still suggested that buyer bears the extra increment .

All I'm saying is , buying a phone advertised as fully functional with a MIPI ISSUE yes unknown to the seller , can it be actually called fully functional . Or is ignorance now a avenue for transferring liability . I know you're speaking from the perspective of a seller while trying to be unbiased and I truly respect it . But if you're saying anyone can now post things like perfectly functional in a tlc and expect the person buying the device to foot any loss not cosmetic or normally expected , does that really seem fair ?

Put it on the LTE/3G/2G (auto-connect) option.
Toggle Data Roaming to OFF (you don't need it. Not that it has anything to do with the issue on ground o).

I've done both things and it hasn't changed anything , even if you click on it it still displays the cdma 3g something something , forgive me I'm not tech savvy , and I'd prefer sending it to cybertek
Because 1 I don't have a pc and 2 I don't even know what to do after being sent the file , 3 I can take it to others but that will involve me traveling from where I live down to warri .

Well I’ve spoken with cyber.
He said the MIPI fault is of 2 variants.
One Software and the other hardware.

In his words “He’ll be able to troubleshoot the software by downloading a data file of 4.2GB. If it works all good. But chances are low.
However if that fails, then the issue is hardware which he won’t be able to fix.

My suggestion:
1. Buyer and DH splits money meant for MIPI software to see if device works.
2. If problem eventually turns out to be hardware, Dh would take back his item and refund buyer.

What has happened here is similar to buying a password locked iphone and end up discovering it’s iCloud locked.
