When you enter the main building, servicom's office the the first office on your right. Tell them you came for fresh passport application, they will ask for all your document and give you a form to fill. You will be directed to another office by your left at the reception area. He will arrange the document and ask you to come back another day for capturing. Please tell him you won't be able to come on a later day and would want to do everything that day. Make sure you monitor your file by listening to the names some officers will be calling for interview from time to time and if you did not hear your name, kindly go back to the officer at servicom that helped you submit your file to help you

Good day, I was going through previous post and stumbled on your post. Please can you help with with the contact of a staff at Abeokuta office. I applied online but I have an appointment on the date I was given for interview. Wish I can go on another date but don't know what the implication might be. Please advise.

You can go anytime. No implication or what soever. When filling the vistor's log book, just look for a name in the book to write as the person you came to see otherwise they won't let you in. I wonder why it is so.

I didn't receive any text or email but i was able to get the number of an officer in servicom whom i called to help me check if it was ready.

I just called the servicom number and the officer today that there is scarcity of booklet Nationwide. Please, has anybody applied and collected his/her passport recently? I would advise you wait atleast for 4 weeks.

Wow, I changed my mind, will be going to alausa since it's closer to me but was charged 35k for non-DIY .
From your analysis you sure say I no go do DIY for alausa..

Go the DIY route, just ask of servicom's office. Its cheaper.

I dint later go to abk for the DIY.I went to ibadan buh it wasn't DIY. I doubt if Abk /ibadan Nis Ofz is DIY

I did mine at Abeokuta and it was DIY!!!
Don't mislead people with wrong information.

State/local government of origin

Proceed to servicom office, it the first office on your right when you enter the building. Tell them you came for fresh passport application. You will be directed to another office by your left at the reception. The office will go through your documents and tell you to come for capturing the next wekk. Please tell him that you would like to be captured that day. I did mine 4 weeks ago and my passport is ready.

Thanks for the detailed info. I knew they were stubborn in that place. Very unrepentant thieves especially among their bosses, the layout doesn't help either. Still shows that with the right info & tenacity you can still get your passport done yourself at the official cost

Left to me, would have loved to form a group aimed at DIY applications there, so we can make scapegoats out of those that hinder the process together. Some of these immigration offices need to be busted for public awareness, the rot is unimaginable in some states.

Very stubborn people. I went with all my documents , marriage certificate, state of origin certificate ,change of name both court affidavit and newspaper publication . At the initial stage they said why was the name on the application form different from the one on my state/local govt of origin. When they saw that i came prepared, they had to let me go

The DIY group is highly needed because those people that came through the officers and i who did the DIY method, did our capturing together and left almost the time.

I left ota by 5:30am and got to passport office by 7:00am. I had to wait until 8:00am before i was allowed in.we were asked to write our names on the visitor's log book. I wrote servicom as the place i was going to and they insisted i write the name of the officer i wanted to see.
I told them that i didnt know the name of anyone and they said i won't be allowed it until i write down the name of the officer whom i want to meet.

I entered when they were distracted by the crowd that was gathering at the time. When i got to servicom, i was asked again the name of the person i came see. Hian!! Shey person no fit enter govt office without knowing someone? I told them i wanted to see the person in servicom and also wanted to submit my documents for fresh passport application. I was given a form and fill and then directed to another man to assess my document.

He took my documents upstairs for the DSC or DSO approval, but he wasnt around till 11am because he was in a meeting. Later i started seeing files moving in and out of the office and people names where called while mine wasn't.

I went back to the man downstairs who took my document for approval to help me check if it has been approved. He came back and told me it has been approved but i guess snice my case was self documentation the officers in charge refused to take my document for verification and interview.

The man helped me and ensured that i was called for verification and interview. By 1:30pm i was done with capturing. The date for collection on the confirmation slip is monday 16th.

I let home early from ota at 5:30 am yesterday and got to passport office by 7am. I had to wait untill 8am before we were allowed in. At the entrance i was asked to write who i came to see, I wrote servicom.They insisted i wrote down someone's name or call the person to tell me his/her name.i wrote passport .Hian! Shey i must know person name before i enter govt ministry again? I later entered when they weren't paying attention because of the crowd behind me.Please go with your facemask unless you won't be allowed in.

I went straight to servicom and i was asked for the name of the person i came to see. I told them i came to see the person who is supposed to be in the office and its not compulsory i know someone before i will be attended to.

I met a man in the office, he gave form to fill and then reffered me to another man for assessement of my document. He took my file to the Dso or Dsi office for approval. I waited until 11am before he arrived because he went for a meeting. I kept on seeing files moving in and out of the office and names been called out but i didnt hear my name. I went back to the man at servicom that submitted my document to help me check if it has been approved, he came back and said it has been approved i guess it was kept in one corner, nobody took it to the verification room because it was DIY file.He took it there for me and i was called for verication and then interview.

I went back to the reception and my name was called for caputuring, by 1:30pm i was done. I was given a confirmation slip with my collection date written on it which is on the 16th next week.
