Hello loves , forgive me for being scarce lately ; I decided to take a little break off social media to just reflect , relax and spend time with family. 2018 was life changing for me , it came with many highs and lows , wins and losses but it was all worth it .
It was all worth it because it came with a force, piloted by the most amazing woman I know @lusciousbella.
All my life , My sister together with the rest of my family has always watched over me but this past year she recruited thousands more for my sake , she fought tooth and nail and protected me at all costs even when i didnt deserve it .
@lusciousbella , thank you for helping rewrite my story, thank you for this amazing army you raised and thank you for being not just my sister but my rock. You made my 2018 unforgettable. I really dont know how i can repay my sister or my spartans for how amazing they made my 2018 but until I figure that out , I pray that through my work, i can continue to pay it forward. To Dad and the rest of my family,Spartans, my team and everyone who has played a part in the journey , Thank you so much for an amazing 2018 .

Two men were allegedly killed by drunk policemen in the early hours of today during new year celebration in Edo State.

The incident reportedly happened at Kings square, Benin, Edo.

According to an eyewitness, Alpha, the drunk policemen were also trying to celebrate by firing gunshots into the air at their station opposite the Oba market, but instead opened fire on the duo.
One of the victims reportedly died immediately on the spot while the other lost his life moments later as he was not able to get appropriate first aid to keep him alive.

Actress Mimi Orjikwe has revealed the present worth of gift she received from an unnamed ex-boyfriend in the year 2012.

According to the actress, the gold and diamond encrusted wristwatch she received on her birthday in that year from the ex is now worth a whooping $60,000 (N21,900,000.00).

She although did not mention how much it was purchased for in 2012. It is very much likely she may not know since it was a gift.

Mimi Orjikwe, who was married to actor and producer Charles Pius also revealed that though the producer is the father of her daughter, he holds no title in the life of the girl other than just an ordinary father.

She then further stated that he is not worthy to be called a dad because he is not showing any responsibility towards the development of the child.

Nigerian mom took to Instagram to reveals how her daughter taught her a great lesson.

She narrated how she saw a touching note her daughter wrote. The note revealed that the young girl feels like nobody at times.

This note is a couple of months old and I’m only just now ready to share it. .
“Sometimes I feel like nobody cares about me”

Oh wow! Child?! Really?!
.
I saw the note in Alexis’ room and trying to mask how alarmed/guilty/attacked I felt, I calmly asked her if she wanted to talk about it. I wasn’t ready for her reply.
.
“Oh that’s David’s. I noticed he was sad and when I asked him if he wanted to talk, he said no. So, I told him to write down his feelings. He’s okay now. I gave him a hug and I told him how much I love him”.
.
She said it so casually, like it was nothing. And I stood there, short of words. My heart swelling and expanding… I thought it was going to burst ❤️

How did she know to love her brother like so? To respect his feelings when he didn’t want to talk? To encourage him to express his feelings by writing them down? To reassure him and remind him that he is loved? To not dismiss him? Or make it about her? To not assume that he was attacking her? To create a safe space where he could open up?
.
How does an 8 year old know these things I’m only just learning in my Counseling Techniques class I can’t honestly take credit. I didn’t teach her these things. I mean, I’m still working on trying to be a better listener. And sometimes, I’m so caught up in my own struggles, I’m not paying enough attention to others around me, to know if they’re sad.
.
My daughter is teaching me that carrying each other’s burdens, like God has asked us to do, can be simple and I can do it. That getting a masters in counseling is great and all, but while I’m studying for it, I can still be the change I would like to see in the world, one act of kindness at a time.
