A Nigerian man who took to Twitter to share a testimony he heard in Church, disclosed that a church member testified of how his phone started working after saving pastor’s number.

According to the Nigerian, his church member disclosed that his phone was giving him issues for the past two weeks before he saved the Pastor’s number. Read the tweet of a phone started working after saving pastor’s number below;

So one Testifier came out to give testimony in church today that his phone had been giving him issues for 2weeks and last week Sunday when he got and saved the pastors number, Monday morning he realised the phone was working perfectly On my life I’m not even joking

The identity of the young was however not given out.

Goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi was the heroine as the Super Falcons won their ninth Africa Women’s Cup of Nations title in Ghana on Saturday beating South Africa 4-3 on penalties after full and extra time ended 0-0.

The Rivers Angels goalkeeper saved the last kick from Linda Motlhalo to hand the Nigerians their third successive title and ninth overall.

It’s the second consecutive match Oluehi saved a spot kick, having also saved a kick in the 4-2 shootout victory over Cameroon in the semi-final.

It was the first time in the history of the competition that the final would be decided on penalties.

Nigeria also won the title in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2016.

The Falcons were gunning for revenge after losing 1-0 to South Africa in their opening Group B tie.

And they should have taken the lead in the 75th minute but Africa Women’s Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala sent her effort wide from the penalty spot after enterprising midfielder Fransceca Ordega was brought down in the box by Banyana Banyana goalkeeper Christen Swart.

But Ngozi Ebere, Rita Chikwelu, substitute Chinwendu Ihezuo and Chinaza Uchendu converted their kicks while Noko Matlou, Nompumelelo Nyandeni and Mamello Makhabane converted for Banyana Banyana.

i-final, with Rasheedat Ajibade starting in place of the injured Desire Oparanozie in attack.

Nigeria dominated play from the blast of the whistle but the South Africans grew into the game as the Falcons struggled to create clear cut chances. Oshoala dribbled past two defenders in the second minute but her tame effort at goal was fumbled by Swart – who had to gather a second time.

Banyana got their first effort on goal in the fifth minute after Christen Kgatlana shot straight at Oluehi.

In the second half, both teams came out with Nigeria threatening more through Oshoala and Ordega on the wings. However, in the 75th minute, after Ordega was brought down in the penalty area, Oshoala shot her effort wide from the penalty spot.

Nigeria then went on the back foot and resorted to long balls in extra time.

Banyana went close to opening scoring in the 103rd minute after Kgatlana went past three defenders but shot straight at Oluehi.

Ordega was voted Woman of the Match – her second of the tournament – while tournament highest goalscorer Kgatlana was adjudged Woman of the Tournament.

Both teams alongside third-place winners Cameroon qualified for next year’s Women’s World Cup in France.

Veteran Nollywood actress Fausat Balogun, aka Madam Saje, has just cleared the air on the perception most people have the seemingly luxurious lifestyle stakeholders in the movie industry and according to her there is hardship in Nollywood.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, she said,

Our leaders should have mercy on us. There is suffering in Nollywood. I just pray that God will make them have good thoughts towards us. If we are treated the way actors are treated in the western countries, you can imagine where we would be.

The only thing keeping many of us here is the passion we have for the job. If not for that, some people would have resorted to selling wares at Oshodi. There are no structures in place and pirates are also dealing with us.

“As for me, I have spent over 45 years in this industry; so, it is something that is already part of me. I cannot readily change to do another thing. However, I am happy that I don’t beg to eat and I am able to do things that my peers engage in.”

On what she thinks about some young actresses who engage in ‘prostitution’ in order to live glamorous lives, Madam Saje said,

“I can only speak for myself. I cannot say anything about what people do in their private moments. However, if the industry is buoyant, there wouldn’t even be mention of things like this. It is because of the hardship in the sector that some people engage in untoward acts.”

Comedian, Dee One, was dragged online during the week after he uploaded a video in which he argued that Nigerians did not deserve to have 24-hour electricity supply.

However, he told Sunday Scoop that he was just joking. He said, “It was sarcasm. There is nobody that doesn’t need electricity. Those bashing me for that post are very stupid because I’m not the government. If they want to bash anybody, it should be the government. I always tell people to use their gifts to address serious issues. Poor electricity supply is a very big problem in Nigeria and it’s part of the things setting us back. If people can channel their frustrations to the government with the same vigour (they attacked me online), I believe things will be much better. It’s only in Nigeria that we take comedians seriously and we take politicians as jokers.

“Trending on the Internet doesn’t give one money; it just puts you out there. And if it puts you out there, it then depends on what you’re able to do with the attention.”

Speaking on his relationship with fellow Big Brother ex-housemates, Dee one said, “I am cool with all of them. Friends will always fight, but after that, we try to reach a common ground and move forward. Personally though, I am done with all that Big Brother drama; that era has passed. Right now, I want to be known and addressed as a comedian, not as a former BBN contestant.”

Responding to people who say that he is not funny, he said, “I can bet that most people who say I am not funny have never seen me perform. I just did my stand-up comedy show and everyone who attended had a good time. Many people just talk based on what they see online. Meanwhile, I cannot be funny to everybody. I have my target audience. I am not the type of comedian that would give free jokes on the Internet. It is business for me. If I put out my content for free, why then does anybody have to pay to watch me? These days, every Tom, Dick and Harry can be found on the Internet claiming to be comedians and giving materials away. However, I don’t blame them because I know they are looking for publicity. But, for someone like me, who already has the publicity, I don’t need all that. I was a professional before I went into the Big Brother House. Big Brother did not pay me to do jokes, so I abided by the rules and regulations of the game. It’s sad that these days, people are used to getting free things. My advice to people who think I’m not funny is that they should come and watch me. I run a comedy club alongside Omobaba and SLK, and I’ve been doing it for five years.”
