Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal who broke the internet a few days ago when she released some not-so-nude photos has apologised for letting people down.

In a lenghty Instagram post, the actress said, 'my apologies to everyone who felt, I let them down by "explaining and comparing" but you see, I'm in a business of creating Illusions and it gladdens my professional heart that I do it so well, majority believes whatever illusion I create'.

She continued to say, 'but at the end of the day, am an African woman who hasn't forgotten her culture, and one who surprising also happens to be very reserved and conservative at heart. So you see, it is only natural that you will see the struggle between both sides of me for as long as I remain an entertainer. Now this is not to say that I have any apologies about my work because the camera is my lover and I will do literally anything for him. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Abdulkareem, has decried the destruction of the University’s multi-million naira research and training farms by herdsmen, who also poisoned the dam with chemicals.

According to the University weekly Bulletin issued on Monday, the management of the institution last Thursday held a security meeting with the leaders of the 11 Fulani settlements on the University land.

The publication quoted the vice-chancellor as saying that economic trees’ were destroyed by cattle grazing on the vast land of the institution.

The meeting was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies comprising of the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Security Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

At the meeting held at the institution’s Auditorium Basement, Prof. Abdulkareem disclosed that the University management would no longer tolerate illegal grazing of cows on its land.

He, therefore, told the illegal settlers, who have started building permanent structures to vacate the University land in the interest of peace.

According to him, this was coming almost a year after the University authorities first issued a quit notice to the illegal settlers.

Abdulkareem recalled that the University management had on April 26, 2017 handed down a seven-day ultimatum to the Fulani herdsmen encroaching on the University land to quit the campus, but the quit notice was never complied with.

The vice-chancellor also noted that on May 11, 2017, 28 persons, comprising Fulani herdsmen, Yoruba and Hausa farmers, were dragged to an Ilorin Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly trespassing into the University land, destroying the school’s plantation and perpetrating other unauthorized activities on the University campus.

He explained that the accused persons were alleged to have resorted to poisoning the institution’s dam with chemicals, while also engaging in illegal felling of economic trees from which they made charcoal.

However, at last Thursday’s meeting, the Vice-Chancellor clearly told the Fulani settlers that “enough is enough”.

The VC warned that the University could no longer condone the destructive activities of their grazing cattle on the University land, as this is becoming too costly for the institution to bear.

According to the institution’s publication, herdsmen from 11 communities took turns to speak at the meeting.

The Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Usman Adamu, told the University management that the herdsmen destroying the University farm land were not living in the community.

He said that there were other ethnic groups embarking on illegal activities like logging, and were not Fulani.

My cousin Toju Uwatse was attacked on the Oshodi express way by robbers who took advantage of the heavy traffic jam caused by the lagos marathon.

He and a friend were stabbed several times and their vehicle smashed. The robbers believed they had just arrived from the Murtala International Airport thought the vehicle would be carrying suitcases loaded with goodies from abroad.

He tried to get the attention of a vehicle with diplomatic registration plates so the police officers and security operatives will come to his aid but to no avail. He had to fight for his dear life defending his face and chest while being punched and stabbed on his arms. It was a 17minute battle untill the robbers made away with valubles such as laptops, phones jewellery and other expensive items. It was sad as there was no way for him to escape as the traffic was a stand still for hours. Several other vehicles were robbed the criminals had a field day.

Mr. Toju is currently receiving treatment in hospital he is in Total shock and cant wait to leave overcome the incident......sent in by Kingsley Uwatse

Just over this weekend there was a report that Tboss could be dating music mogul and father of one, Ubi Franklin as photos of them snuggling surfaced on the internet. The former Big Brother Naija housemate has however opened up that she is not dating anyone in the entertainment industry.

Tboss in a chat made this revelation and she at the same time talked about her life and her plans for the new year:


I was born in Bucharest, Romania, to a Romanian mother and a Nigerian father, who hails from Edo State. I have three siblings. My father was an engineer and he was always moving from one state to another. Whenever there was a need to move, we had no choice but to go with him. Though it was fun, the whole process of changing homes, schools and friends was quite hectic. We, however, adjusted easily. I was a very shy kid and a rebel, while my younger sister was an outgoing type. Looking back, I will say that my childhood was quite interesting. There were some ugly days, but I still had fun growing up.

I went to primary school in Suleja, Niger State. For my post-elementary education, I attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Calabar. I started a diploma programme in law, but later got a scholarship to study Political Science in Romania. I graduated with a First Class degree. I will not say I was the smartest, but I was very determined. I had a lecturer who was racially prejudiced and he always made sure foreign students failed. This made it mandatory for me to do very well in my studies because I wanted to shame him.

She was then asked on how she manages the criticism that she receives on a constant basis from fans and other people that don’t seem to like her:

I am not under any sort of pressure. I have always done things at my own pace, which is just fine by me. When it comes to criticism, assumption is the cheapest form of information. People will always have an opinion about everything and I’m not in the business of trying to convince people to think or say otherwise.


On her current projects, she said;

I got some endorsements and movie roles last year. I plan to do more movies this year, but I don’t want to reveal too much at the moment.

When Tboss was asked about the rumor flying around about her dating a popular Nigerian celebrity, she responded saying;


I like to keep certain things private and my love life or relationship falls into that category. However, the story that I am engaged to a musician or anyone else for that matter is just a rumour. I am not engaged to be married to anybody and if such happens, everyone will know. At present, I am only focused on my brand and how to make it better.

One good turn deserves another. They say. But this seems not to be the case of man who donated his kidney to his girlfriend, but she refused his marriage proposal when he proposed.

49-year-old Simon Louis never expected the response he got when popped the question to Mary Emmanuelle after nursing her back to health. But Mary gently rejected his proposal, though she loved him back, because her health made the future seem uncertain.

However the pair vowed to remain friends and Simon, 49, said:

“I offered her my heart but I had to settle for giving her my kidney. Whatever happens, I’ll never regret giving her the gift of life.”

Mary in her statement said

“He is my very best friend and always will be. The love between us is real. He could have died doing what he did for me.” The pair first met in a London club in the mid-1990s with Mary, then 20, thinking Simon, 28, was “a good-looking bad boy”.

They shared an odd smooch and flirted but things between them never progressed further. Simon, who had other relationships but never lost his feelings for Mary, would think of her on Valentine’s Day and buy her a rose or some chocolates.

It happened in September 2014 when Mary suddenly collapsed at home after her skin went yellow. The lady was in a coma for a fortnight after a brain haemorrhage, spent two months in intensive care and was eventually diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease.

Th only hope she had then was a transplant, but the chances of a donor being found were drastically reduced because she had very rare B negative blood. Simon visited her every day, sometimes staying the night, so he could help her get to and from the hospital.

A few weeks later Simon suggested getting tested to see if he was a match as a donor – and it turned out he was. Then both underwent surgery before helping each other back to health

Simon then decided to pop the question to Mary and asked her to marry him, but he felt disappointed as he never expected to get the response he got on that night.

Mary gave her reason for rejecting Simon's proposal and this what she said:

“I let him down gently by saying I’d have to think about it. I think I’d worry if we got married it would in some way damage our special friendship and also I don’t want to get wed until I’m fully better health-wise.”
