I am assuming they did not use swords / bows & arrows , if they did , Soldiers would fire sporadically and attacker's dead body would be found , people in commumity would hear the gun battle

I said that someone should have informed the defense headquaters , i didn't say they have to wait till soldiers come, phones are there , someone could walk into a barracks and report what he saw to them there , why wait till reinforcement come before tipping off soldiers

I am fairly certain that it took a while before soldiers who were murdered were discovered, maybe they did not checkin at the right time, between their death and their discovery and the reinforcement, i am sure hours passed in between , one again , don't comment on emotion

Soldiers had to reinforce to come, which means they regrouped at barracks, if someone went to barracks to report the killing , 30 people will be saved , period

No , the I NO GO TALK mentality is what caused the unneccesary deaths , and NO it is not justifiable , i always condemn Nigerian army if / when they do anything wrong, when they opened fire on a professor for overtaking a convoy, when they displayed boko haram flags instead of killing shekau and showing us his body , when they burnt BRT in lagos you people just read and comment on emotion , you don't understand my comment, i said it clearly that i denounce reprisal killing of any kind but if someone was able to identify the culprits , the soldiers probably wouldn't have had a reason to rampage

In summary of the above comment, something terribly bad happened ,or information got to soldiers about that community , otherwise they wouldn't reinforce with 40 trucks just to demonstrate their madness
