Yeh I'm still active as ever, well No rod was used, its just nailed to the nudging as you will do in the Old ceilings. However to make it look better instead of using batons to line the nudges after installation you use a jointing tape to mask off the joints and fill with pop mixture for smooth finish. I hope this helps

I used the same design as him, as I built after him and saw his, without using tierod. We used pop cement to cover the spaces and make it look pop-ish.
